'I am afraid you will lose control around me.' she seems to want to communicate this greatly, the draenix gets from this. That she is afraid of them, and that their power will harm her. 'I want to trust you will not lose control around me. Around my horde.' Horde... the many creatures she surrounded herself with? The image of many creatures popping up around her stick figure image came to her mind. 'Yes, that is a horde.' An impassive feeling, but of understanding. This was a horde, this image. But her desire, her want. They have no answer. There is no 'yes' or 'no' to this desire. For the draenix does not know if they could remain in control around her. Feed the bonfire too much fuel, let them become too excited and agitated, and it would happen again. There is no set of controls. Not yet. Which makes Ridelys feel very nervous about the lack of this feeling. And they hadn't even entered the house yet. 15 5.5 7/9 10.20

Well since they weren't making any headway on the idea of whether or not the draenix could remain in control around her, (seemed to be so far), Ridelys tried to ask another question. 'Are you a boy, or a girl.' When she got only a sense of 'I don't understand', she pictured Caiman, a very 'male' sarane, and Queenie, a very 'female' sarane. A pause, a feeling of curiosity towards both images, but not leaning towards either. Did this creature not possess a gender? Or just could not decide. It wasn't as if she'd peeked under its limbs to start with when she got the creature to begin with. And 'it' just seemed very impersonal. There were genderless creatures here in the labs. They were infrequent, but were there. Even a genderless pachee had been born from some sort of mushroom experiment. Which had been extremely unusual. 'If you are not, what do I call you. How do I call you.' 16 1.5 11.20

The draenix did not know that they had three siblings besides themselves; there had been no 'calling'. The youth would come, and have food. She would make noise, and out of boredom, they had come. Taken the food, and been led outside. Was this being called? The noises? The draenix tries to picture this to her, a way that they understand 'call you'. 'A name, I suppose.' she finally comes up with. Usually she'd be the one to name a creature, but this draenix seemed just... unnamable for her. Perhaps it was just her inability to escape its freezing nature although ice had nothing to do with it. If it wanted a name, it should pick the name, right? This creature felt completely left field for Ridelys, just too out of her league to just call... Fluffy or something. The draenix needed no name to call themselves; they were themself. Did she need something to call them? 17 2.5 12.20

Before she had a chance to ask what kind of name it wanted, something, no; a number of somethings darted between them. The draenix's gaze felt distracted now, as it followed a floating creature of fire in hot pursuit of a glowing butterfly. Behind them, two fireflies, actual unjarred fireflies seemed to be flickering around a lantern, situated off a tree branch not far away. The cross' gaze followed the sprite with an unearthly precision, almost waiting to pounce. Ridelys however wasn't interested in the fire object. She didn't know how a mason jar in her handy bag of things would be handy, but it became so as she snuck up quietly on the fireflies, and jarred them, one after the other. They impacted the jar sides, each other, then landed. Buzzing angrily and flickering their glows. They were safe from the draenix in here. She could find a use for the lantern someplace; didn't she have another that looked similar? 18 3.5 13.20

This wasn't the strangest sight Ridelys had seen within the mansion grounds, or even within the house itself. The fire creature seemed new though. Butterflies and the lantern were a more familiar sight. But from a long time ago. 'I wouldn't eat that if I were you' she mentions casually, watching the draenix bob and weave its head back and forth, fully sensitized by the fire sprite thing's movement patterns. Almost glowing with energy. 'I have more fish' And pulls out another koi colored fish treat. Bout the size of a perch. For a moment it appears the draenix hasn't heard her. They are too set on following the fire creature. But then... fish? Their stomach rumbles a bit; the fish from a bit ago wasn't much to go on. It takes a lot of effort to drag their gaze away from the fiery pursuit and notice the youth and her fish offering. Fine... if they must. Longingly with their gaze mostly turned away, the draenix accepts the fish. She seems pleased. Wonder why. 19 4.5 14.20

'We can capture them and bring them back.' She shows the draenix her firefly catches. The kaleidoscopic eye glances at her, glances at her jar, goes back to watching. Perhaps its considering doing this. Finally, it takes a step back. Still watching, still mesmerized by the fire object thing, but allowing her to come forth an catch the fire sprite and the butterfly. She needed a second jar to catch the fire sprite. It wasn't hot enough to melt the glass, thankfully. If one looked close, there appeared to be a face in the heart of the flame? How unusual. Inside the firefly jar, the butterfly landed, folding its wings, and resting. Safe at last. Fireflies were the last thing to worry about. No more being torched. 'We can go inside or look about the grounds. I hear its more interesting indoors.' The draenix glances at the house, looking it up and down. Now the draenix was/is almost her height, would it fit? Well if a sarane could, perhaps. 20 5.5 8/10 15.20

She didn't know if the draenix possessed decent nightvision or not; she herself didn't. So where the shadows of sunset were deepening around the trees and the side of the house on the eastern part of the plot got really dark for her. There should be sufficent light indoors, right? At least thats what she believed. 'I'm going inside. I would rather be accompanied.' She pictures the creature following her inside. Perhaps getting a fish for its trouble. 'We may find more fire creatures inside for you to see.' This sounded interesting to the draenix. They had never been inside a building besides their enclosure in the kennel. So being inside a place that was not the kennel could be something entirely new. And it smelled faintly of fire, which drew them like a moth to a flame. With an agreeable feeling through the connection, it follows her up the path to the steps. Ridelys pauses as she opens the door to the mansion. She can hear the draenix step without using steps up onto the deck. Porch. Wooden platform. 21 1.5 16.20

If she put more thought into it, an explosive fire dragon cross wasn't the most dangerous thing in her care at present. That rubberized cage in the kennel housed something far more volatile. Her brief thought of this creature brought a feeling of agreement from the draenix, to her surprise. It had seen the rubber cage, seen the chaos of inside. It had tried to encounter it, but violently rejected. Not that kind of encounter, but to examine. To see what it was. It was not fire; it was lightning incarnate. Yes, that was a substantially more dangerous creature, the draenix agrees as they get all four legs up on the deck. At least they were proud enough to try to control their power. 'I don't think that one can' Ridelys muses, entering through the door at last. She remembers reading up on the pamphlet delivered with the cage; the creature had such chaos running rampant inside that it could be high as a kite one moment and practically a sloth in more then just stature the next. But it was unpredictable, and thats what she believed more dangerous then the draenix. 22 2.5 17.20

The draenix considered the thought she'd given. Sizing themself up to the volatile chaos incarnate in class of how dangerous they were. Fire and lightning are two very different dangers. {Dangerous, but in control} they offer to the image of themself. In control at present. 'Beware the door, its low.' Door? What is a door-bam. Ouch. The draenix's head collides with the frame, startling them from the statement. Not enough to blast their explosive power. With a smarting, pulsing sensation between eyes and horns, they glower at the opening the shorter female went through. She smelled distinctly female, although they did not understand this fully. 'Duck your head as you come toward me, through the opening.' she instructs, pulling her short neck closer to her shoulders, walking in and out of the door as proof of concept. 'You are less likely to bump your head.' Oh, was that so. The draenix gives the door a sour stare. It would be so easy to make it burn. 23 3.5 18.20

'No you are not going to make it burn.' Ridelys interrupted their thought process sharply. Irritated, the draenix projected the door in flames in their own mind, just a few little flickers... 'No.... no' The noises, the sharp "stop" thought ringing loud and clear. The noises made no sense to them. Instead an image became projected to them, of a burning house. Of running and screaming, of chaos and pain and death as the house burned flesh and wood and like. Before, that image could send the draenix into a dreamy sort of state; that was the state of fire. But... glancing at the fire in the jar. What was fire now; it was not just chaos and death and mayhem. At the glowing bugs in the jar she carried. Fire that did not burn on contact. How... intriguing. Until they felt something drape across their back. Startled, the draenix looks back, and the theron freezes. Her fingers are just leaving the fabric of the night sky. 24 4.5 1.20

The fear in her eyes is evident; the fear radiating through the ribbon more so. They glance down at the fabric in tandem, then back up at each other. {What is this} the draenix twists back, trying to catch hold of the object with their teeth. The fabric glides over their skin, feeling... slick. Filmy. There wasn't a way for them to describe it. The whatever it is slides off into a pile of the night sky. The slight glints of silvery threads making up throughout catch their eye. She (the female) retrieves it, and backs off fast. Holding a pawful of the night sky, and visibly shaking. {What is that} they repeat, stressing the image of the night sky object in her hands. 'A...a cloak. I thought it would look nice against your colors.' Cloak. She only gets a blank confused feeling in return. 'We wear cloaks to keep warm. To look nice.' The draenix's jaw sets in alignment, slightly pressed together. Did they not already look MORE then nice? 25 5.5 9/11 2.20

To demonstrate, she throws the cloak slowly around her shoulders, setting the two pieces of fabric together to clip with a button clasp. The night sky drapes about her, soft and filmy and downright near invisibility cloak look, except no invisibility. The subtle shift of the fabric has the draconian cross mesmerized, all attention focused on it. She twists her body left and right slightly, bringing some motion to the cloak. 'See. Looks nice.' Nice isn't an idea that the draenix can fathom; but attractive? Pretty? Possibly. She imagines a reverse of this, of the draenix striding proudly through the mansion, wearing the night sky cloak over their back. The wings spreading from beneath, or even through. Were the wings solid? Or made of magic, like she'd seen on other creatures? 'Would this bother your wings?' The draenix ponders this, narrowing their eyes. Taking the sight of the cloak, the sensation they felt of it, and putting it against them. On them. 26 1.5 3.20

'Majestic. Awing. Regal. Imperial. Royal. Important.' she rattled off way too long and complicated words; there may be tat-lung blood in the draenix's mixture, but that didn't mean they were as smart as one. A sudden hiss ended her amounts of words and thoughts. {Too much.} the draenix responds. It is too much for them to think about. To figure out. {Wings open} The wings raise up and flare a bit, making her step back again. But there is no change of color or increase in heat from the draenix. they are waiting. 'Do you want... to try it on?' The multicolored gaze stares at her. When they made no move forth, she moves forth. Ridelys comes up from the side where the draenix can see her, carefully removing the cloak from herself, and draping it over the creature's back again. Something she didn't see previously were the slits running up the back on both sides once the cloak draped to its full length. Carefully she arranges each third around the wings, then between. Then finally the clasp around the beast's neck. Such style, once she finished. 27 2.5 4.20
