It didn't take long for the individual in front of Renathan to begin to snark something to the person in front of them, and then was shot a look by said individual. Renathan watched as the person in front of them dragged that person away; and they left the breeding center. Well; that is two less people! Not long later; 36 was called; and no one went around to go in. Ah, so that must be... Wait. 37, 38, and 39 were called in the exact same way; with no one coming up. Did all of those people leave forever ago or something? Finally, 40 was called, and someone ran back to the back, carrying their two crates. Oh, okay, that was neat. Now there were only... 59 more people to go. There really didn't look like there were 59 people in here, though. That was a great sign; that meant that there were more people that had left rather than wait! Renathan didn't have to wait as long as he thought he would have, certainly. He might get back home in time to finish one of the things that he was wanting to work on today. Laharu and Zelda were trying to touch eachother's front paws with their paws.

Well, the orbaru were cute at least, Renathan would give them that. The wait was a long one, for sure, and Renathan was quite tired by the time the line halved itself; with him in the very back. He kept scooting the two orbaru forward with his feet, gently and slowly to make sure that it wouldn't stress them. They were way too interested in each other, anyway, to care. Renathan had seen three rooms open during that time period; allowing 41, 42, and 44 (43 was not present) to get one of the sterilized rooms for their orbaru. This further reduced the amount of females in the room by three, so Laharu was definitely able to sense Zelda a lot more now. Renathan was glad at least about that; the waiting room was starting to look a little less crowded. He continued to wait in line, tapping his foot as he did so. Now that the angry person in front of him was no longer there, he didn't have to worry about being in danger or someone hurting his orbaru during the waiting process. Now it was all just the waiting game itself. The line was moving a lot quicker now that there were a few seats in the lobby to fill.

Thankfully, the line became a mere fourth what it was originally quite quickly, and Renathan could now see from where he was standing that there had been a change in the worker that was at the desk; there was now an entirely different individual there. That was good; the other individual looked exhausted and overworked; who knew how long that they had been working there like that? So that did explain the sudden speed; this worker was bright eyed and fresh today, so they were going to be fine he was sure. Soon enough, the line was completely worked through, and Renathan was able to do the paperwork on these two. When the individual asked him what number he'd pulled, Renathan showed him the '99' sticker that he'd gotten from the machine. The man looked confused, and glanced at the lobby; which definitely did not have 50ish people in it. He told Renathan that it sounded like he might get a seat sooner rather than later, and then Renathan picked up the two orbaru crates and went to sit down in the lobby. Thankfully, his old seat was open, so he didn't have to try to find one among the thirty or so people that were still there.

Renathan made sure to put the two crates down on the ground facing one another so that Laharu and Zelda could see each other. Two people came out holding two crates a piece from the hallway; and Renathan recognized them as two of the first people that had went to the rooms since Renathan had gotten here. Ah, that was a good sign. That meant that it should be going a little quicker, or at least that was what Renathan thought. A lot of the people that had been out here in the waiting room had managed to actually get their orbaru acquainted in the waiting room, like Renathan had been doing this entire time, so they were probably finishing their breedings pretty dang quick. Renathan didn't have to worry about a lot of this now, it was just smooth sailing waiting from here on out. The next two individuals were called to the back, and the line was nonexistent, by this point. Renathan was happy about this; and Laharu was definitely much more excited now, ready to actually play with the female. He was butting his furry head against the bars, and Renathan gently petted him. "Calm down, Laharu, it will be soon enough."

Zelda was getting a little more patient now, at least. She laid against he bars of the cage, lots of little tufts of fur sticking out of the openings in the bars, and Renathan was tempted to pet her through it when he heard a noise. He glanced up, and noticed an individual coming out of the hallway again, and then another. Oh, two by two, Renathan joked to himself. Each one had two orbaru crates under their arms, and Renathan vaguely recognized them. Another two individuals went back to clean rooms, looking pretty tired by now, and another individual came out from the hallway carrying two crates. This time, the individual at the front desk went back to help clear a room. Not a problem; since there was no longer a line waiting at the desk. Renathan waited for a few moments, watching Laharu and Zelda try to play through the bars of the cage, and glancing around at the individuals that were around him. Almost all of them had orbaru in their crates; were the tiny creatures that popular? Renathan had loved them, himself, but he had no idea that they were that popular, really! He hoped that the room would clear out very soon.

Soon, all three of the breeding center workers came out from the hallway; and three more people were called back. Now it was starting to look like they might actually get in this hour, somehow. People were looking more calm and ready in the room now, holding their orbaru in some cases, others with them on the leashes, and others in crates. Many people had their orbaru near each other, and some were even playing on the floor. People seemed to be very determined to get these creatures taken care of; and to make sure that the breedings would be quickly done once they did get into the room. Another person came out from the hallway and everyone looked at their tickets, even the ones that definitely knew that they weren't next. Renathan only had to wait for ten more people by the time he started paying attention here; there were ten people with twenty orbaru other than him now, and that was a lot better. Zelda and Laharu had managed to get close enough to bat at each other's paws, of course with Renathan's help. He figured that it wouldn't hurt if they could touch each others paws. Just like orbaru; to make a game out of anything.

Renathan continued to wait, and wait, and wait. It really didn't take as long as he thought it would for the next individual to come out and the room to be cleaned, but as soon as the individual had managed to get sent back; Renathan realized that all of the rooms had recently been filled up close to each other; so that meant that it would be a while before he managed to get back there. They would all probably get done all at once, and there were still nine other people here before Renathan; and one after him. Renathan would have to keep comfortable, but the two orbaru were growing incredibly restless. Ah, this was going to suck. Renathan had not even brought them any toys because the rooms had toys in them already for the orbaru to play with. Renathan waited, and waited, and waited, continuously tapping his foot. Since he didn't wear any shoes, it didn't make any noise, however, so he wasn't annoying the people around them. The person at the desk looked a bit sorry for them, but there was not much he could do about it; there were only so many rooms, after all, and orbaru were popular.

The people that were still here now were the true troopers, Renathan decided. It was a rough situation entirely, and Renathan really felt bad for all of these people. Who even knew exactly how long some of them had been there before Renathan had gotten there with Laharu and Zelda? Renathan sighed, and leaned back. Waiting time. The two orbaru were too simple to be bored, thankfully, and were instead having 'fun' playing with each other's paws. "Such a good one." He said, petting Zelda. She really was a cutey, she looked so much like her parents! Renathan finally heard a noise and looked up; ah, the first one that had went back had come out. One of the breeding center workers ran back to go clean the room, and then soon enough one of the nine was sent back; leaving them with 8 more before Renathan, thankfully. He'd been here for two hours already, and was ready to get this done. "Welp, you two, we are about to get to go in, finally." He said, and it was true. They had to only have about thirty minutes of waiting left, and then he had his fingers crossed that the two would breed together quickly.

Renathan was happy to see the next four people come out pretty much right after one another; which meant four more would be going in soon! That would leave four people ahead of him, and man, was he ready to get this over with. He tried not to look too bored and anxious while he waited, even thought he was. The breeding center workers went back to go clean the rooms, and Renathan really realized exactly how much work these poor folks had to deal with; they had basically been running ninety to nothing to get these rooms worked on. However, soon enough they were out again, the rooms were cleaned, and those four people were brought back once at a time to go to the rooms. Well; there were now six people here, and only four of those were ahead of Renathan. He glanced down and looked at Zelda and Laharu, pretty sure that they wouldn't play a whole lot before breeding, seeing as they had to wait all this time while just barely being able to play with one another in the wait. Hopefully, the other peoples' orbaru were doing the same thing, so it wouldn't take too much longer.

Waiting, waiting, and waiting. Renathan knew that they were almost done with all of the waiting, but he was still quite tired already from sitting in the same position. Of course, there were only a few more people ahead of him, but it was going to be tiring even waiting for that. After fifteen, another individual came out from the hallway; surprisingly enough one of the last few individuals that had just went in. They seemed happy and relieved enough, so maybe their orbaru bred really quickly. Renathan was pleased with that. The room was cleaned quickly enough it would seem. Renathan was super glad to see one of the other really tired looking individuals get up and drag their orbaru along. The mammalian looked down at the two orbaru of his own, knowing that soon, they wouldn't have to deal with this anymore. If they cooperated, anyway. Things were starting to really blend together, after all, and who even knew what the babies would look like? He was hoping for a good mix of the two; perhaps a ruddy colored one with a nice polecat marking or something. Two more people came out of the hallway as soon as Zelda began pressing up against the grate again.

Renathan sighed and then put the two crates closer. Already, the poor male was being driven pretty nuts by how far away the female; HIS female was. Renathan watched as the two put their paws out and then began playing the paw game again, this fast. Two of the breeding center workers ran out to go back to get the rooms cleaned up and ready for the next two. After these next ones went through, Renathan realized, he would only be one away from getting in! He looked apologetically beneath the mask over at the individual that had came in after them; number 100. Today really had been a rough day on all of them, but especially the breeding center workers. Poor individuals! Renathan couldn't help but be very understanding of the entire situation with all of this. He looked down at his own orbaru yet again and petted both of them on the paws. "Almost, almost." Renathan said, trying to calm them. The poor creatures were so ready to get out of those boxes (and get to each other of course). Renathan was quite worried, but felt less worried whenever the two were called back to the rooms. Almost indeed.

Time seemed to be flitting by slower and slower every day it would appear. Renathan wished that there was at least a clock out here that he could stare at, or maybe a radio he could listen to. He was growing quite bored, but they still had quite a ways to go. There was just him and two others now, one ahead of him in line and one behind him in line. He was still holding on to his little '99' ticket, even though at this point he'd been here so long that he was sure the front counter worker would already know. Finally, after a while, another individual came out, and the breeding center worker went out to clean the room. Renathan was tapping his foot still. Tap. Tap. Tap. Soon, hopefully soon. The next individual was brought back to the breeding room, and now Renathan would be next. There was still an individual waiting with them, and both sets of orbaru were getting super restless. They could smell each other very clearly; and Laharu was desperately trying to get to Zelda now. Oh, so it wouldn't take long once they got back, would they? They'd been staring at each other and playing through the grates this whole time.

Orbaru were incredibly simple creatures, and Renathan was glad about that. Had today gone differently, it would have been really relaxing to see them run around and play a ton. However; now they'd been here staring and playing with each other for so long that Renathan was not sure how long they would be able to see them actually do what orbaru did when unimpeded; playing with blocks and other such things... Who even knew. Renathan waited and watched down the hallway until finally, one other person came out from one of t he breeding rooms carrying both of their orbaru carriers, and giving Renathan an apologetic look. Finally! Renathan watched as a breeding center worker ran back to go get the room cleaned, and Renathan was grinning beneath the mask just knowing that they'll have their chance to be in one of the sterilized rooms soon to get this thing over with. Renathan waited, and then saw someone else coming down the hallway. He nearly picked up his carriers when he noticed that it was just one of the other breeders; carrying their orbaru carriers... Aww, but at least the person behind Renathan would get the chance too. Zelda was now making little orbaru noises, trying to get out of the carrier and to the male.

One of the breeding center workers ran back to go get the other room cleaned to, and Renathan gave an apologetic smile to the person behind him in line; knowing that he couldn't see it behind the mask but feeling quite bad about it anyway. "Sorry." He said, and then he turned his head. Thankfully, the room was clean now; or at least the one that Renathan was going to be called to. His number was called and he picked up both of the carriers, holding one under each arm. Zelda made an upset noise that the male was removed from her line of sight. Renathan walked on carefully, and handed over the '99' ticket. Finally. He was okayed to go on back, and he rushed down the hallway, ready to let the two orbaru out and into the room. The room was all the way down on the other side of the hallway, so it took Renathan a moment, but he managed to get in there and get sat down rather quickly with the door shutting. All of the rooms were pretty similar; white walls and floor; carpet and toys in the far-side. Renathan opened both carriers after sitting them on the floor.

Renathan had been pretty sure that the two orbaru would hardly make it to the room, and he was pretty well right from what he could tell. It took no time at all for Zelda to come shooting out of the carrier, and try to get into the carrier with the male in it. Ah, oh well. Laharu was of course super interested in her, but he obviously couldn't do anything about that if he was trapped up in the back of his own carrier! The red-panda silky moved forward, pushing the female out bit by bit, so that he could just hardly get out from the carrier. He wasn't angry, at all! He was mostly just super interested in her, and of course he couldn't try to fix their little predicament without getting out, right? As soon as Zelda realized that he was not in the carrier anymore, she turned around to look for him, flipping her long ears every which way. Renathan reached over for one of the waiting-room books that they kept there, keeping an eye out boredly for the tell-tale flash, but also being quite sure that the creatures would take at least a little moment or two, enough for him to look at the recipes at least.
