Even if she'd been here sometime before, everything about this shop was just a little unsettling even the second time around. The thing is, so few stores in the area trade, she'll take what she can get in the ones that do. It sounds like the weapon-maker deals in gems, but she's not there just yet. Lethalia knows next to nothing about how to utilize the gems and metals she mines up, but there was something fun about collecting some. Ore was something she didn't come across very often, and she wondered if she would find it with any more luck if she brought a gem familiar with her. Those creatures just unsettled her, but the lack of ore was driving her to trade for some she'd seen instead. At least it meant she didn't actually have to spend credits!
"Was wonderin' if this all might be enough for a handful of your ore?" she asked, setting the less-subtle harvest statue on the counter and flashing a handful of garnets alongside it. She wasn't sure if what she'd brought were worth anything, because it mostly just felt like odds and ends she'd had around for a while. Still though, gems and... telescopes were useful to someone, weren't they?
The trader glances over the things that were brought before them, contemplating it would seem. After a moment's consideration they nod, or appear to nod, and then pick up a basket before throwing the amount of Sarcoline and Zinc that they figured would be amenable to this (five a piece). At this, they offer the basket in one arm, and then reach for the other things that were offered with the other, before waiting. Was this acceptable to the individual as well?
Ah! The hooded figure appeared quick to respond to her trade, and Lethalia watched him closely as chunks of ore were tossed into a basket for the exchange. That was a huge amount more of ore than she'd ever seen in one place so far, never mind mining up that much on her own. She was no jewelcrafter, but the shining pink glints of metal that still needed extracted from their rocky prison sure looked special. A small nod as the basket of ores was presented to her; that was a lot more than she was expecting to get! She scooted the telescope forward on the counter top, and a moment's hesitation found her before reaching out to deposit the garnets in his offered palm. Another halting motion, and she splayed her fingers out to take the basket handle, moving slowly - just in case. Hooded figures didn't bode well for many transactions, and she intended to leave intact. "Thank you," she felt the need to add, even if this one doesn't seem to care much about formalities.

The trader watched as the individual started to give the gems, and they took them while handing over the traded items quite congenially. At this, they nodded to the individual; a good trade! The trader would have to figure out where to put these new things, now.
Riku: It was already under my email address, so I kept it. Thought it was funny people assumed my gender. (I was like 12, so logic was limited.)

Riku: I forgot about Subeta. I preferred Rescreatu, but they locked me out of my account cuz I used a female username. /: It wasn’t a gender identity thing really. I made the account for my best friend at the time who was female. Then she decided not to use it.

Renathan: I haven't been able to get into my account in a while. I might need to try pretty soon.

Ashe: Anyone still play Subeta? >> I'm finally remembering to be active on there for Morostide

Ashe: That won't work, that would break the drake for /that person/ and still not her.

fieraferella: Could someone else break your sarane for you and then return it to you?
Oct 20, 2019 14:14:31 GMT -6
Amelia: Ugh I have zero interest in breaking a Sarane xD I just thought he'd get plantified and I could play with him. Blah this sucks

Renathan: I thought it was an accident. :3 I've done stuff like that too!

Lethalia: Wow, I like how I can mark fifteen posts as September without something clicking. Derp. *ahem*

Darky: attack each other. So if more than one altered pet of the same alteration type battle each other, the battle would be.. kinda over before it even began x3
Oct 20, 2019 3:38:32 GMT -6
Darky: battling a little difficult). Tournament-wise, that one's up to the mods. Altered pets technically don't get any upper hand, though in case of Blessing of the Shadows it does create that unfortunate situation where two creatures with the ability cant
Oct 20, 2019 3:38:28 GMT -6
Darky: As for sarane needing to be broken, I'd say yes under normal circumstances, unless the character specifically asks the alteration to include something to make the creature more docile (but that would come with stats reflecting that which would make
Oct 20, 2019 3:37:29 GMT -6
Darky: Procreation serum is more 'traditional' in its method, which means the altered pet has to be able to physically produce or carry the offspring (so Nightmare couldn't be used for this process, since she's basically a skeleton with no womb)
Oct 20, 2019 3:35:44 GMT -6
Darky: Yes if its paid breedings, depends if its Procreation serum. Paid breedings are 'lab' breedings, which basically means smushing DNA artificially and any 'altered' pet can still breed normally within its species
Oct 20, 2019 3:34:47 GMT -6
Aster: Oh yeah, I remember just looking at those the other day in the stats thread. Dunno why it slipped my mind

Ashe: I mean, it's still up to Darky for the most part, it was Yang who did Equillion, but it has been done
Oct 20, 2019 0:24:49 GMT -6
Ashe: Darky bred Nightmare, her Undeadified Tainted, to another equillion.
