Renathan then looked up at the breeding center desk; trying to ascertain about how long it would take for them to get brought back with the amount of people in the waiting room. Perhaps it would not be too long? "You're right, I hope they are still as lax as they used to be about that sort of thing. I've been keeping my orbaru in crates to keep them from doing that, but keeping them close enough together to play in the lobby during that time." He said, honestly, perhaps the longest sentence he'd said that day yet. Ah, it looked like Jag was playing with Espresso now! Renathan didn't bother holding him down, and instead let him move over to play with her if he liked. Might as well, huh? Renathan felt a bit chilly, which was odd with all of his fur, but the people of the Labs did tend to use the air conditioning a lot during their summers.

Renathan was still super distracted, but he was thinking about things that were going on right now, trying not to start thinking about Shy Guy again. The pit was certainly a trigger point for him, and he was struggling to dance around it regardless. Espresso moved off of his lap just as he thought that he would and went to play; Renathan did allow himself a small grin beneath the mask at that. Espresso may not have been his favorite orbaru, but he was still cute, and a silky, which meant lots of brushing had to take place. He chuckled at what Jack said next, though! "He's a big boy, isn't he? I'm sure he's a good pack-mount, for sure." His voice was a bit lighter now than it had been earlier, as if he was finding himself. "So Jack, I'm thinking about building on the property next to mine; that vacant lot? I want to make a really big orbaru complex, since I have so many."

Jag hopped off of Jack's lap and booped at Espresso for a moment before rolling over, tangling her fur a little and staring at him. Things would work out! Jack smiled fondly at her and then glanced over at Renathan, "Oh that sounds amazing! There is that big vacant lot and all, that's a great idea. It helps that you have so many of them right?" She smiled and then winced a little, she had a ton of Pachee and Orbaru, she'd thought about opening a zoo or something, but wasn't sure if that would go over well with the population. A nice garden would be lovely for Pachee, and they already had the Orbaru Zu, though it was closed... She sighed a little and smiled at him, "I've been considering opening a Pachee garden, but I'm not sure it would get much traffic. I've been thinking about it for awhile, but... I don't know. I hope you'll show me your property once it's up and running!"

Renathan nodded for sure. "There are so many, they really aren't fitting in the little spot I had made for them anymore. They're super easy to care for and addictive!" Now he was excited, at least. "I don't expect it to be too difficult, just the clearing out work and all, but between that and the Catseye, I've got my work cut out for me." That was true, it was a new development though, and he'd forgotten to tell her about it. "I heavily considered opening up another Zoo, since the old one has been out, I'm sure that you would too, but I was afraid about how well that would go over..." The purveyor of the old Zu was no longer around, and Renathan didn't want to disrespect them by accident. "Of course, and a Pachee garden would be TOO adorable!" Now he was excited, for the first time since the pit incident. It was really rubbing off on little Espresso, who tended to already be excitable anyway!

"You're right, they really are!" Jack exclaimed with a laugh when Jag hopped off of her lap and rolled on the floor. She eyed Espresso for a moment with a smile and then shook her head. She really needed to focus a little bit better when she was doing things like this. Jack smiled a little and then glanced around the room, no one else was in front of them, they would be called next and all would be well she figured. They hadn't bred yet, which was good and all that, but she wasn't sure how long it would be until they did. "I'd been thinking of another zoo too! Maybe one with just the specialty breeds or something, but I'm not really sure," she said with a little frown on her face, but that perked up when he mentioned the garden, "Really? I need to save up then, I'm super low on credits at the moment and gardens aren't cheap. I was thinking of making them into sections based on what kind of anatomy they have. I'd love a butterfly area..." Jag pawed at Espresso again and booped happily, beaming at him.

Renathan was really putting in the effort, or at least attempting to, in order to keep himself from getting anxious. Espresso was looking down at the other orbaru a little nervously; he didn't do a whole lot of leaping himself. Renathan chuckled and put the creature on the floor gently, so that he could be near the female too. He hopped over closer to her after that, nearly tripping on an ear as he did so. Renathan shook his head just slightly; the silky orbaru were so bad about that. "Specialty breeds like, pachee, orbaru, and lotine? That'd take a whole bunch of room." He said, thinking curiously. He knew that Jack had a ton of breedables, and it would be a lot of work to get a Zoo up to that point. "I would love to see it happen, though!" He smiles beneath the mask. "Oh, do you have a lot of butterflies?" He asked, curious.

Jag booped again, laughing when Espresso almost tripped over his ears but sympathized with him, rolling over again and smiling at him before nuzzling up to him happily. "Well I meant more the specialty breeds of Orbaru, but oooh, if all of them were in the same place..." she trailed off, thinking about it. She bounced in her seat a little, excited about the prospect, "Yes! That would be amazing! I can just see it now, breedables everywhere and people could rent them out for a fee or something, or donate a baby or two to the zoo!" Jack's eyes gleamed as she looked over at Renathan, she just needed the money for it now, time to stop spending and start saving up! "Oh, yes, I have a lot of butterflies, all coming from my first one I bought from the Labs, Monarch," came her answer with a smile and a nod. She loved her butterflies, and she wished she could show them to him right now!

Espresso was looking quite sourly for an orbaru at his long fuzzy ear tip for a moment, and then he caught sight of the female. Oh, she was pretty! She had spots too... He sniffed at her direction, and then sneezed a bit. Poor little Espresso had allergies this time of year, but at least they were typically mild. He blinked, her eyes were the same color as his tail orb! He glanced back at his tail orb for a minute and then realized that he'd seen lots of spotty orbaru before! Renathan realized his mistake now; "Oh, that makes more sense now, I am sorry. Those are the best!" He thought for a moment; he did love his silkies! "Oh, that is a super good idea, ever since the original closed down there's been something distinctly missing for sure." He nodded gravely at that. "Oh, Monarch? I don't think I've seen a picture of that one." He said; he'd heard of a few of hers.

Jag nuzzled up to him a little bit as she looked at him, she liked him, he was pretty! She booped at him and tapped his nose with her paw, wanting to play. "Oh you're fine! I like this idea too!" Jack exclaimed happily as she clapped her hands together once, "It's given me so many ideas, I just need to save up for it now too though! Haha, I've been spending a bit lately, so I should stop now..." Jack chuckled a little and thought about it, she was going to have to see how much it would cost, put an aquarium, a zoo, and a garden together for all three species she thought with a nod. That was going to cost a bit of credits, but she would be alright in the end of it all! "Oh yes, he's based on an actual butterfly species. He's orange and black, actually!" she told him happily.

Renathan had admittedly been on a bit of a spending spree recently as well, though he was working hard to make sure that he still had some left over at the end of the month. He felt quite funky about having less than a certain amount of credits so he worked to make sure that his head was above the metaphorical water on that end. "I get you there, there's so much going on right now, and it's hard to hold on to those credits." Espresso moved forward, to touch his nose to the female, and of course before he got there he sneezed again. Poor sneezy boyo! Renathan patted him on the head. Would he need his allergy medicine soon? Renathan had seen that one of the cottonwood trees were producing cotton and that messed him up sometimes too. "Oh, that is neat!" A lot of folks looked to real-life inspiration for the designs they want from the Labs. They came out the prettiest!

Renathan considered that; for a moment. He had quite a few critters that he'd bought that were based off of animal species, and he was sure that they came out so much better; did the Labs perhaps have samples of all of the animal species for figuring out patterning? That was possible, and it was an odd thought. If they did have those, how did they get them? Did someone go out and get the samples, and return for pay? Was that a real job that someone could have? He wouldn't go do it himself, so many of the wild animals were an absolute dangerous bunch, moreso than labs creatures any day. He had to think about it though, while the two orbaru played near their feet. He was doing real well keeping his mind off of the whole pit thing, but he was still concerned about a few other things as well.

Speaking of critters, Renathan knew that he had quite a few he needed to sell. He'd put a few of them up; he was sad to do it but he needed to be more realistic with how many he was going to train. Of course, his huge hoard of orbaru was well desired for other reasons and would be kept; but with other creatures that took way more costly food, he just wasn't going to keep when he knew he wouldn't deal with them. Kind of sad, but he had to do what was right. Renathan quietly watched Espresso as he began playing, and thus wasn't sneezing as much anymore, thankfully. Every once in a while he would sneeze. Renathan looked up, and wondered about how long it would be until they got called back. There was no one ahead of them, so it should be soon, right? At this rate, the orbies might cause trouble with them and breed in the lobby instead... They needed to be fed the berry soon. "Hey, did you bring the berry?" He'd forgotten!

Renathan knew that the breedings were often relatively quick, but if you made sure that the orbaru were really happy, that they tended to breed and make offspring that were particularly adorable! Renathan always treated his orbaru with the absolute most care and adoration, always brushing them out, so they tended to be pretty happy, but it took lots of work to get him to this point and some astute attention. Still, the orbaru berries were the most important part of this, or fruit or whatever they were called. Espresso was already starting to look interested in breeding, Renathan had cared for orbaru so long and bred them often, so he knew what the males tended to do right before getting to business. The fruit would have to be administered soon. Renathan bent down to scoop up Espresso pretty quick, so that he didn't do anything prematurely. The poor critter booped; wanting to get to the female. Just then, the Breeding Center helper called them back. Talk about saved by the bell!

Thank goodness, Renathan thought. They'd be able to get back to the back before the two bred, and of course get the fruit in them before they did that if they were lucky. "Oh that's great." Renathan said, relieved. Of course it had hardly been a few seconds since he had answered Jack, their conversation in pretty good swing, but it had felt like a while. "Sorry I grabbed him up so fast, I'm getting pretty good at reading orbaru, and I thought he was about to, well, you know." He chuckled a bit, holding Espresso to his body while the fluffy orbaru tried to get down and go after the female. "Well, at least they'll be quick, huh?" He held out a hand, to help Jack get up if she wanted the help; before remembering 'oh yeah, her leg is... it's fine now'. He was a bit embarrassed now; she was really nice to him, and he really liked her...
And now he remembered what had happened that one night, and he felt a bit worried. She didn't remember that, right?

As he went ahead and gathered himself up, and of course started back to the room with Espresso, he worried about that for a moment It was something else that he tried not to think about too much like the pit thing, he'd been very vastly worried about whether or not she judged him for not like, bringing her back inside or not letting her sleep there. He'd felt awkward, afterward, and kind of bad, like maybe he'd done something wrong even though he'd been completely stunned into inaction. Was that a normal reaction? And of course the big thing was that neither of the two of them had the same culture connections, and he didn't really know how to bring it up. Perhaps it was best to take some time to consider that before doing so? This was a good meeting, so that he could let off some pressure before figuring this out. He puts Espresso down once they get into the room. He knew it would all work out, now. Even if he had to wait to figure it all out.
