Renathan figured that he was going to only do one of these breedings this month, to his knowledge right now. At least he didn't have any of them planned past this one. He had wanted to do this breeding last month, and then he had remembered that Kingfisher had already been bred! He chuckled a tad, noting that. He apparently had so many orbaru that he couldn't even keep track of them all. Howie was bred last month as well, though it wasn't all that long ago perhaps? Renathan tried to think of how long it had been. Was it before or after the tournament finally ended? He was super glad for that, at the very least. The pit was a place he never wanted to go back to if he didn't have to. Renathan selected this lovely pair to celebrate the time of year; it was indeed Vai Min Mur and he figured that these would come up with at least one orangey baby. Or at least that was what he was hoping for! Maybe Renathan would breed Jack-O-Lantern this month too? He wasn't sure if he really had time. Renathan was on his way out to the breeding center. He needed to be as quick as possible, though thankfully the two under his arms were quiet today in their clear carriers.

Renathan had done so many of these by this point that he was just exhausted. He wasn't even really sure if he would continue doing all of the breedings he could do each month, since he was so tired of doing breedings! However, it would be a decent way to get credits, if he wanted to do such... Renathan wasn't sure if he wanted to go down the 'orbaru mill' route though. It would be a right and true mess to do that. Heck, it would probably be easier and cheaper to go the pachee route if he wanted to do that, and he would even feel less bad about it, since Orbaru were much more difficult to get 'right'. Renathan had switched to the clear carriers so that the orbaru would be able to get to know each-other even as he was going to the breeding center, and if he had to spend a lot of time waiting in the lobby. That happened so often that Renathan was starting to plan for it! He had brought a writing pad today so that he could work on some of his designs for the shop. He had a few more ideas, but nothing substantial lately. He was quite annoyed that the two orbaru he brought today were sleeping, though.

The mammalian always managed to keep his pairs happy enough to produce adults, but he was wondering if in the future he might be able to get them to produce more babies. Baby orbaru were really cute, but Renathan hadn't really seen one in a long time! Perhaps it would be nice to see a few of them for once, even if they weren't as nice as grown orbaru... Renathan wondered about this as his padded feet suddenly touched grass. Had he really not been paying attention enough to notice that he had walked off of the sidewalk and onto the grass? The breeding center shouldn't be too far away from here. Renathan looked up, and was immediately spooked. Uh, where was he? Renathan hadn't been that absent-minded, had he? He made a slight noise of surprise, and it was enough to wake up the particularly nervous Howie. Kingfisher, however, stayed well asleep. Probably a good thing too, since Renathan felt like he might have been losing his mind. Where was the sidewalk? He turned back around, and realized that he didn't know where he was at all. Thankfully, after a moment of trying to calm Howie down, it occurred to Renathan that he had started to take his usual shortcut to the Breeding Center by accident!

Renathan tried his best not to take the usual shortcut to the breeding center, since it had caused him trouble before. It would seem like he was pretty far down it as well, and he was a bit surprised by that at the very least. "Uh, darn. Howie, Howie, calm down." Renathan murmured, sitting Kingfisher's clear crate down for a moment so that he could waggle his fingers at Howie in an attempt to get him to calm down. He seemed to have noticed that something was wrong, and true to form, he was Renathan's only orbaru that really ever panicked about things. Nice, Renathan thought, just nice. He wasn't going to want to breed today, now. Howie was notoriously picky over his mates, food, and literally everything else. Renathan really loved his colors and tried to breed him as often as possible, but some month it would seem like he just wasn't going to have it. Renathan sighed, and sat down a moment with him, thankful that Kingfisher wasn't like this as well. That would be a darn mess, that was for sure! Howie's little lip quivered as he made nervous orbaru boops, not something that Renathan wished on anyone else for certain.

Of course, no one else probably even had to deal with any orbaru making 'frightened' noises at all. Orbaru did not tend to be 'smart' enough to be afraid of things like predators, and MAN could Renathan tell! However, every once in a while Renathan managed to get an orbaru that was just a 'capitol-M' MESS and was nervous over something or another. While storms usually didn't effect most of his orbaru, and some of them were mesmerized by rain, the thunderclaps sent at least two of his orbaru scrambling to cower beneath the beds in the house. Howie, thankfully, wasn't one of those, but he was finicky and easily made stressed because he was sick for so long. As such, Howie was prone to moments like this where he was particularly inconsolable, and it was always over the littlest things too! The mammalian's tail tips twitched as he tried to think of a way to calm down the critter, because if he didn't manage to calm him down, he would not breed today, and Renathan might as well go back home and call it quits. At the very least, thank goodness that Kingfisher wasn't like Howie was! She was snoring, the little lump!

Renathan was honestly starting to really like sloth orbaru. At one point, he had told himself that he never wanted a sloth. However, now that he had the perfect little Rafet and the gorgeous Kingfisher, Renathan was absolutely mesmerized by the strange creatures. The russet mammalian finally pulled a small treat from his pouch, a little cube of cooked plain chicken, and gave it to Howie. At first, the little creature wouldn't take it at all. However, he was soon nibbling on it, and as soon as he got a good taste he took the little chicken cube from Renathan and ate it, quieting him down some. Renathan breathed out a sigh of relief, glad to get him normalized a bit again. One step closer to actually being able to breed these two today, thankfully. "Oh goodness. Howie, what am I ever going to do with you?" He murmured, petting him through one of the small holes in the side. How indeed, he was a mess. "Alrighty, now we can go hopefully." He said as he straightened up his back and stretched. Thankfully, if they kept going, the center was so close he could almost taste it... Well, not literally, thankfully.

While there was probably a billion and one pairs that Renathan would like to breed, the entire breeding process for orbaru was simply exhausting. With one person going, trying to keep up with two orbaru while going to the place, and then waiting forever, and then maybe the pair breeds, it was exhausting. Admittedly, this job was much better when one had another individual to do it with the breeder. With each person carrying one orbaru, it really felt like doing half of the work. Well, that and having someone to talk to! Perhaps Renathan should start breeding with other people's orbaru more often, so that they have things to do. Now that Howie was much quieter, Renathan picked up both of the two and then continued on his way. Kingfisher hardly stirred as he stood up, jerking her just a tad, and of course Howie was quieter now that he had been payed more attention to. Renathan wished that they would act like the other orbaru and pay attention to the female that was quite ready to do what they were supposed to do today, but of course Howie just HAD to be different. Renathan rolled his eyes as they continued on towards the breeding center.

Renathan made quick work of the jaunt across the park, and then made it to the penultimate road to the breeding center. Renathan kept walking, glad for the relative calm that had been going on today. Autumn was starting to rumble into high swing now, but Renathan couldn't really enjoy it while he was working on this, since this would need to get done soon so that he could go back to work. He frowned beneath his mask as he realized that it was a beautiful day and he was just too busy to really think about it. He had to work with these orbaru though, and then he really wanted to get some training done this month, which would take a while. For one, he wanted to finish Auburn's training so that he could start working with other creatures. She was nearly done, in fact! Renathan also wanted to go ahead and finish off Shy Guy's list... He was deep in thought again as they continued to go on. Renathan was drawn from his thoughts by a strange boop; it was not Howie's, or Kingfisher's? But where exactly was the boop coming from? Renathan couldn't even imagine where it was coming from.

Renathan had a few plans this month, but he knew that he probably wasn't really going to have time to get them done like he would hope to be able to. He sighed as he walked down the street... However he felt a bit anxious. Like something was around him or watching him or something. Renathan stood still for a moment, paw pads on the sidewalk again, though the sidewalk was a little hot in his opinion, and he saw that there was indeed someone behind him! A young panite individual, holding a big sloth orbaru in his arms. Aww, even kids were getting into orbaru breeding now, and it was super cool. Renathan nodded to him politely and let him go on out ahead of him. Renathan didn't mind waiting a little longer for a kid of course, children in his homeland tended to have more rights than adults did so it was just natural for him to make a sacrifice without even thinking about it. Renathan then focused on Howie instead, who was apparently trying to 'talk' to that female instead of Kingfisher! Oh no, today was going to be difficult, wasn't it? Hopefully Kingfisher could just put some charm on him or something.

On top of all of the other issues that Renathan was concerned about, he had realized that he needed to expand the orbaru house, and man was that going to be a chore! He had waaay too many of the little buggers, but he couldn't even imagine letting a single one go, they were all special with their own personalities and they were so cute. He also liked to give away a baby or two every now and again, and though he could probably make a killing off of them if he sold them to the Nature's bounty, he wasn't concerned with a profit. The thing that sucked though was that now that the bounty was buying offspring orbaru, he had to be careful about who he gave a baby away to- since they could just make a buck off of selling something that was given away. Normally he wouldn't worry about it, but now he was a bit worried. Perhaps he'd have to give up on giving away the orbaru babies, because of it. Renathan turned the final corner to the breeding center, and he could see it all the way down at the end of the street! Kingfisher was beginning to stir, and Howie was once again more curious than anxious, thankfully.

At the very least, Renathan hoped that Howie would act right, and do the breeding today like he was supposed to. It was a real mess when he was finicky, and he was finicky most of the time! He wondered what he should do about it; perhaps Howie should be retired from breeding? Renathan would hate to do that, since his markings were so beautiful and seemed to pass down just well enough, but he wondered if perhaps he didn't need to do something else to keep him from panicking as bad as he did from here on out. Renathan shook his head, and finally was just about to the breeding center. He managed to get there without too many issues, but now here was the real tricky part; Renathan had to somehow get the door open. The glass door was always super difficult to get in because it had a really smooth door handle that could be easily grabbed and pulled, but his own orbaru were often in the way. He had two carry two of them by himself, after all, and most of the time his arms were heavily lopsided. That was the case at this very moment, actually.

Renathan shifted the creatures around in his arms in an attempt to actually get a hold of the door properly, but just as he had noted before, the female was quite a bit heavier than the male, three times really, with her bulk as a sloth orbaru. Renathan really wondered why sloths were that much weight. It was quite amazing and strange to really think that they were really that much bigger and all. "Alrighty you two, let us see what I can do here..." Renathan said, mumbling as he was looking at the glass. Renathan gently put his palm on the door and it slipped. He murmured beneath his breath again beneath the mask, and shifted the orbaru again trying to get a good hold on it. Howie of course did not at all like this, not one bit. He really disliked getting shifted around so much, and since he was already so finicky and anxious, the tiny creature made his whining booping noise yet again. "Calm down Howie, I just need you to calm down for a minute while I get this door..." Renathan said, trying his hardest to get the hand on the doorknob again.

It was truly taking an extreme amount of work to get his hand on this door, simply, and they weren't even ready to work on the rest of the situation that they had to, with Renathan working on this breeding. They still had to get in line, work on the paperwork, take a number, sit down in the waiting room, and wait to get a room for the pair. Renathan had already spent so much time working on this today, he figured he wouldn't have time to do anything else this month, orbaru-wise, if he didn't put a step on all of the things he had to do. "Ugh, come on, Howie... Hush up for just a moment so that I can just- ugh, I need to concentrate." Renathan looked around for anyone else that might be outside, to see if he could ask someone else to get the door. Just why did the door have to open towards the outside? That made it easier to get out than it was to get in... Renathan growled beneath his breath, not even any louder than the wind, and then shifted the orbaru again, making Howie make sad boops just again.

Renathan was growing more and more frustrated with the moment. He was having more and more pain in his shoulders, his back squeezed a bit, muscles felt a little fatigued. The mammalian twitched his tail tips a bit, and then shook his head. "Ugh, we're never going to get through at this rate." Renathan had not at all wanted to have to sit down either of them. He didn't like the idea of having to sit them down all the time, but at this moment it would be prudent. Perhaps he was being a little ridiculous, having refused to do it so long now that he was going to do it anyway. Renathan quietly sat the calmer of the two, Kingfisher, down on the ground, and turned to Howie instead. "Calm down Howie, we're about to get you sat down and calmed down a bit." Renathan meant that, too, as he grabbed the door handle without any issues despite it being quite smooth, and then he quickly pulled it open. He held it open with a foot and grabbed the carrier that Kingfisher was being held in. As always, she was calm and happy, booping at him amicably.
