How do the mines work?
What can get you killed in node creation?
What do you think super-luck really effects...?
Have you ever wondered these mysterious and elusive questions? Then you must not be a mod who knows the answers. Hahaha! Let’s get together and theorize this stuff because it’s fun to puzzle them together with our own experiences. And, let’s face it...the mods won’t (can’t) help us out with them.
Current first question:
“What exactly disqualifies you from a contest?”
From the C-Box we have: -attacking others -pocketpets
Further thoughts or ideas?
Feel free to add your own questions or speculations. We can add the pooled ‘answers’ to this first post later. <3

-RA EDIT: If you are a Mod, or WERE a Mod at any point, Do Not Post Here.

From experience with being warned for a contest, pets cannot attack YOU. I previously entered a gallor who turned on me. ~BD
If you forget to specifically write in that you ate the healing berry while doing your node posts, you will die in the creation.
Super-luck on pets or the rabbit's luck on players?

I'm pretty sure 'gem caller' as a skill gets you a higher rate of encountering gem familiars in the mines- I found two after I got it. I'm also pretty sure that Gem Caller, the Mason skill ranks, and Geology also raise chances of finding stuff in the mines.
I THOUGHT Magical Awareness and Feel the Node would help in the mansion because a lot of people with good mansion drops have those, but since getting those, I'm not all that sure. It hasn't been great.

I’ll start with what I do in the mines:
Skills Rabbit's Luck Mason Lv.3 Local Lore (Mines) Cartography Advanced Tracking Gem Caller Wild Speak Natural Bond Lv.3 Magical Awareness Feel The Node Understand Runes
Magical awareness and feel the node seem obvious. Understanding runes feels like it could come in handy. The cartography and mason seem logical. Tracking, gem caller, wild speak, and natural bond I feel would help find and catch creatures.
I always have a mining familiar. I theorize having only one pet (the mining familiar) helps. Like a sort of “don’t make too much noise” bonus. Then again...gems don’t hear. Perhaps for finding creatures.
Do you guys think levels or loyalty on that pet help? I’d assume loyalty.....but what if you buy a lv. 30 (for example) mining familiar from someone else?
Do you think Darky’s mining dare help?
Oh! Certain pocket pets and even pets like the carnival lingling....how much of an effect do you think they have?

Far as I have seen, the mining tools are a must to go mining. I haven't seen anyone specifically go mining recently without the mason skill, so your list I'm not sure. Natural bond I don't think helps, because its just a simple loyalty boost of your creatures. I haven't seen anyone use cartography though. Hmmm.
Much as I wish that Darky's mining dare would help, I think its rp flavor for us and it has no effect on rolls.
Here's Ridelys' list, and I find moderate things, but what I have found is if you post at least 10-15 times in spurts, you are less likely to get a bad thing and more likely to get at least one thing. Flare has only gone mining once, so without tools and without skills, you get nothing it appears? Mason (Rank 3) Gem Caller Feel the Node
