It wasn't really that Renathan didn't like going to the breeding center, but... Well, let's face it, Renathan thought to himself. I don't like going to the breeding center but I have to. Renathan wished he could simply breed his creatures in the peace and quiet of his own huge estate, but he knew that the breeding center was doing this for a reason. It had to be here to keep people from running puppy mills, and to keep the breeding pair healthy and clean. Renathan knew that, but he still didn't really get why he couldn't have his lotine in the garden where she wouldn't be stressed. Because every single time it came 'that time of the month' for the lotine, Princess got super stressed out and all icky over it. She knew she had to go to the breeding center, and getting her there, actually transporting her, was super hard to do.

Really, did the process even help keep people from running puppy mills? Sure, Renathan didn't mistreat any of his creatures, but he had a veritable TON of orbaru, and nothing bad ever happened over it. He was able to feed them all, and really that was all that mattered. He kept them safe, and had even bought a huge estate for them all. He really couldn't even imagine running an actual mill, even if he could breed them at the house. However, the huge walk to the breeding center had been a bane on him for several months now, and it was no different with his lotine. Princess hated the walk, and she should. Lotine were obviously pretty aquatic, even if they could live on land, and she kind of walked like a seal or something, with lots of difficulty. People also gawked the whole way there. However, she would follow him for the fish, at least.

And follow him she did, as she had done each time they had done this before. Each time they did this, it was easier and easier, but it was still super hard. Renathan kept himself carefully neutral the whole way, Princess didn't know her name yet, after all, but he felt like cussing. He hated this stupid trip, but it had to be done, because if she produced a lola anywhere else it would not be safe for her... Renathan frowned and continued on, tossing her one of the magical fish on the way there, one a piece, gently. She snapped them up and then would follow him down the street a little further. "That's it, that's it. Good girl Princess, we've just got a little way to go." For something that could go so wrong, this usually went pretty well for them. It surprised Renathan, to be honest.

People were staring, yeah, but at least Princess got there well enough. Half of the time whenever Renathan arrived at the breeding center with an orbaru pair, they were already about ready not to breed, since the trips normally went super bad for some reason. However, it seemed like luck smiled on him whenever he brought Princess, and the roads were always pretty clear, the park was an easy cut-through with no horrible wiurns attacking them or anything like that, and the breeding center usually didn't have a ton of lotine in it, so Renathan wasn't shocked at this not a bit whenever they got there and were usually immediately brought back to a room as soon as the paperwork was done. Princess was really close to having her lola this month though, and Renathan was cutting it a little too close for comfort. At least she seemed pretty calm, compared to usual.

The pair cut through the park to make up for lost time, and they made it through without being harassed other than of course people staring at a lotine (already pretty uncommon in the labs due to lack of interest) and one of the 'common' brown ones at that (once again, disinterest was an issue there, and who would want a common? Renathan didn't mind, he didn't really even want the lola for himself anyway) loping about on land like some kind of a beached sea lion. Renathan kept her moving using the fish, and she didn't even seem to mind it for a long time. However, when it was time to get off of the soft grass and on the street, the last street to the breeding center, she gave a little bit of a fuss. Renathan squabbled with her for a moment verbally, and finally managed to get her onto the sidewalk using a fish.

Renathan was pretty desperate to get her there, at this point, since she was so close to having her lola. "Come on, pretty girl, come on, we're just about to the center, you can do it." She was acting pretty antsy now, at least, but they would make it, even if it was the last thing Renathan did! "Come on, come on, just a bit more gal." He said, tossing her another fish and inching back the whole while. She snapped it up of course, and followed after him, wincing as if she was in pain the entire time. "You've got this, come on Princess." He said, mumbling more than speaking now. They were nearly to the door, just a few more feet, come on... Renathan was practically sweating, if he even could, at this point. Almost there, she was almost there, and with minimal issues at that!

He waved her over his shoulder, turning around for the door. "Just a bit more, sweet, a little more..." She edged to the door. Now this was the hard part, getting her IN the breeding center. He hated to do it, but the best way to get her in there while still holding the door was to toss a fish in the building, and that normally wasn't very popular with the orbaru or pachee breeders... Though the breeding center didn't seem to mind it too bad in the lobby anyway, since people weren't technically supposed to breed their creatures out there. "Good girl, in the door. Alley-oop!" He said, tossing the rainbow fish just inside the door. The lotine seemed nervous, and didn't like the look at the door, but it was always that way. Renathan threatened to close the door, and she dove through it!

Renathan wasn't really sure how much time they had left, but this HAD to be done soon, because he could tell she was just about ready to drop the lola. He was kinda freaking out for a second, but at the very least, she was IN the breeding center now, and they couldn't really complain if she dropped because she was a little too far along. At least it was in the building. He just about celebrated there at the door excitedly, glad that he had gotten her in the building, but he went ahead and kept his voice down as he stepped into the building. "Yes, got her in the building!" He was still tinging his voice with excitement though. He'd made it, he'd been afraid that they would. Princess was NOT nearly so stoked. She was nudging his hand for another fish already, and he was chuckling at that.

Renathan looked up past her, after having given the common lotine her magical fish, and then smiled. He couldn't believe his luck today; the line was just about empty! There was only one person in front of them, heck, he might just make it to get Princess into the breeding room. He could hardly believe it, his luck had been so awful lately. Renathan gently patted her on the back of her neck, and then scooted forward, holding a magical fish out so that she could follow it with her nose, and that she did. Princess was acting a little more like she should today, it would seem! "Hello, I'm here to get a room for Princess again, she's ready to drop a lola I think." He said, smiling beneath the mask as a bit of a habit. He quickly filled out the paperwork, and then gave the magical fish to the lotine.

Renathan wondered what sort of lola Princess would produce this month, as he was lead to the back and lead her to the back with fish. She had produced some kind of yellow one last month, and it wasn't really something he was keen on keeping. Really, he didn't plan on keeping any of the lola she produced, but hey, maybe he would if she produced the right one? Renathan really didn't know. He let her into the room as he was lead there himself, opening the door and throwing a fish in there too. She scarcely got into the room and gobbled down the fish before she suddenly sat up straight, staring at him with her strangely colored eyes that Renathan couldn't quite place. "Oh, right now, Princess?" Dang that was fast, he thought. He was very glad though. Suddenly, her bud began to close, and Renathan was sure she was ready.
