Jack had some stones and whatnot in a bag at her hip as she strode through town. One of her favorite shops had re-opened, and she was looking to make a trade. She had heard they had something she didn't have from the mines yet, which was exciting, and she hoped she would be able to get it before someone else did. If not, whatever, but she really hoped she would. An opal drake, the last one she needed, and then things would be fine, she figured with a little chuckle. Reaching the stand, she smiled at the trader before dumping out the stones onto the counter, then lining them up next to each other. She spotted the drake, it's opalescent rock like skin gleamed in the sunlight, and she smiled a little, "Hello, I heard you were open again! I'd like to trade for the opal drake, I hope this is enough of course. Though I may look at some of those flowers, I hadn't heard about those yet..." Jack trailed off a little, that might be nice.
The Trader looks at the customer, peering from behind the cloak that was worn about their body, hiding their form. The being looks over the mining stones, listening to the hopeful customer, and then afterward nodded. The mining bits and bobs for the crystal drake. The trader accepts this, and then slides the mining bits and bobs over to the side, gesturing toward the drake. Then, with an appraising nod after listening to the rest of it, gestures towards the flowers, as if to ask the individual to look over them.
It was accepted! At least she thought so, so far, but that was good, she now had an Opal Drake from the mines. Sure it might be cheating a bit, but hey, who cared as long as she got what she needed. She supposed if she was in a bind she could break them all down, but she didn't think she would ever be in that big of a bind at this point. She smiled and almost wandered off when she saw the gesture toward the flowers. Chewing on her lip, she touched the pouch at her side. There were a few stones left over and she mulled it over for a moment or two before giving a nod. "Here, would you accept these for five of your snowdrop flowers?" she asked, placing four more stones on the counter. She hoped he would take it, she wanted to turn in more things to the PPP eventually, after all.
The Trader continued to watch, of course. They did not seem to mind trading regardless of what the individual pieces were, as long as they added up to the desired amount! The trader watched as the customer looked over the flowers, and then took a moment, before nodding. The being took the stones and pushed them over to the other mining things that had been previously accepted in trade. That was that, for now. The trader seemed to watch the customer, as if asking if there was anything else they wanted to trade for, that day. One could almost just barely make out the slight tilt of a head within the covering.
Jack waved her hands in front of her face for a moment, "I think I should stop now, you know how I get whenever you ask if there's more. I would trade for everything you have if I had the time and items for it." She smiled a little and bowed her head a little in thanks, "Thank you though, your wares are always more than fair, and I appreciate you being back in business." Giving another smile, she waited for her items to be put in front of her, the flowers and the drake. The drake would be right at home with the rest of the mining familiars, and the flowers would be collected and sent to the PPP along with the one she had at home as soon as she could get to it. She hoped for some good Pachee from these trades, but she didn't know if anything else would do for the moment. Ah well, she would look for more things another time.
The trader nodded at the customer's words, and then waved the customer off. Then, they collected the objects that had been traded to them and dropped them down into a pouch for safekeeping. Maybe they would be used for trades at a later date, or maybe the trader ate them? Did anyone ever really know what the mysterious figure did with things? The trader sure knew even if no one else did.
Morgan: Yeah, they were USD. :3

Darky: Does anybody remember how those breedings worked? Were they just bought of USD or was it like a special offer thing Spirit did?
Oct 17, 2019 8:44:23 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Maybe if they had been bred more, there might have been a few mixes of it. :3

Twilight-Claw: I hadn't checked that yet, but that sounds similar to the Kairfuryoo in that only a few where able to get mixed colors from them.

Renathan: Yeah, them dragon-oaks are pretty grand. It looks like dragon oaks didn't have offspring that were between colors on the parents though, those are the exact colors of the parents. /checked them out on the genealogy thread

Twilight-Claw: Aww, I like the little Dragon-Oaks, they remind me of the Draconics in how the babies looked in the past. <3

Darky: And even if some things are completely lost, we have enough material to remake missing bits by reusing linearts and files with a little colour fiddling~
Oct 16, 2019 18:16:32 GMT -6
Renathan: I miss it too. x3 Hopefully someday we can find a way to restore more of what was lost a little at a time.

Darky: This is just another huge step closer to getting the base files in order, to the point we can start filling in Stat pages with actual examples again~

Ashe: I miss the excitement. Spirit would post eggs, we'd go crazy, they'd hatch, we'd level them all up asap just in case lol
Oct 16, 2019 18:07:52 GMT -6
Renathan: I'm glad it was easier than expected though! Just... Kinda makes me realize how much we've lost over the years in site functionality? Makes it even sweeter that we've got some of it back.

Ashe: I'll have to do some organizing, and I'll add stuff if I find more, but I'm glad I finally got to share these. I was at a loss; it would be a TON to add to PB, and I'm not familiar with many sharing methods. This was easy peasy
