Tack Up - 5
Jack put the saddle back on him and cinched it up as quickly as she could before giving him a big fish. The Wiurn snorted and hissed angrily at the pressure on his chest before he started to roll around in the sand, throwing a bit of a fit but not able to get loose from the saddle and it's straps. The woman chuckled a little bit and patted him on the head when he finally stopped, huffing a little from the exertion. At least it seemed as though he was alright with it at this point, considering he sat there pouting and not wanting to do anything about the saddle anymore. He was pretty cute when he pouted at least, she had to give him this much, she figured with a bit of a smile. Jack shook her head and gave him another fish, which he greedily took from her hand as he tried to figure out just what happened.

Okay, that was done, he was finished trying to get the saddle off, she could work with that. Of course the bridle would be a bit different, but she didn't see that being too worrisome right now. For now she needed to get into the saddle and call it good for a bit. She reached for a stirrup with a foot and stepped into it, putting a little pressure on it, which made the Wiurn balk for the moment. He wasn't ready for the extra weight just yet, and before he could toss her, she took her foot back out and gave him a fish. Given looked at her suspiciously, not knowing what the big deal was at the moment, why did she think she could do that? Is that was this thing was for? If he had known that, he wouldn't have agreed to this, no sir! Given snorted and hissed angrily, wondering what was going to happen.

Jack would take it slowly with him, a little slower than she usually did with this kind of thing she figured, Given wasn't that keen on this, and she could tell it was going to be a fight. The woman put her foot back into the stirrup and put a little pressure on it, making him scream in displeasure and pull back. Jack sighed and pulled back again before tossing him a fish, showing him it was alright for her to put some weight on the saddle and bridle. She slipped the bridle onto him and smiled as he shook his head a little before he realized it wasn't a bad thing at all. Then she took the reins and pulled for a moment to get him used to the tugging for a little while later on and all that. For now she needed to figure out what was happening and get him used to it.

Okay, take it easy, he could do this eventually, she just needed to bite the bullet and do it she figured, but she would still ease into it a little bit, and she would figure it out soon enough. Jack put her foot in the stirrup and put about half of her weight on it. Given bucked up a little bit and then hissed angrily at her as she flailed and then fell out of the stirrup. She scowled at him and smacked his wing, the nearest thing there was to her at the moment, which made him start to pout a little bit. He didn't like being punished, but it was something that had to happen when he did something wrong at least. Jack sighed, stood up, and dusted herself off a bit. The pants she had on could handle the water and the sand, but that was alright. Jack sighed a little and tilted her head, wondering what was going to happen.

Carry Rider - 4
This wasn't going to end well she feared, but that was fine. She knew that things were going to be rough, but that's one of the reasons she trained, she couldn't stop now, she just wouldn't let herself at this point. Jack pushed her hair back, tied it back again, and then put all of her weight onto one of the stirrups on Given's saddle. He arched and hissed, snapping at her before she smacked him on the nose while trying her best to stay in the stirrup. Nothing was going to go badly if she just tried to get things together. Jack wasn't ready to quit, she wouldn't quit, and she had to get this done. The Wiurn wasn't too happy about things just yet though, so she had to go a little easy on him. It didn't help that she had never ridden on a Wiurn before, she really didn't know what to expect.

Jack stayed on the stirrup as best as she could as Given bucked and then sulked, but she didn't know what else to do at the moment. She eyed the saddle for a moment and then swung herself onto it as best as she could, gripping the reins as well, given what she could handle at the moment. The woman hissed at herself a little bit as the Wiurn screamed into the sky and bucked around for a little bit, before he finally tired down and huffed and puffed in a heap on the sand. Grinning to herself, she patted him on the side and then gave him a fish to eat. The view was odd from the back of a Wiurn, but that was alright, she supposed she would get used to it after awhile. It would be roughly the same once they got into the air anyway, right?

Bridle Knowledge - 1
Now was going to be the fun part, she figured as she flicked the reins a little to get him to go. He hissed angrily at her again but stayed where he was, unsure of what that meant just yet. "Go on, Given," she said, flicking the reins again, and he hissed and took a step or two to get away from the little noise in his ears. "Good Given," Jack told him, tossing him a fish from behind him where she sat. He snapped it out of the air and figured he understood a little, he was very food oriented, which made for decent training for her it seemed. Jack flicked the reins again and he took a few more steps, wobbling a little under the added weight of the woman for now she figured. At least that's what she assumed the issue was right now. Jack didn't know what else to do with that, it seemed he got it.

Bridle Knowledge - 2
Jack flicked the reins again and the Wiurn started moving. They were awkward on land, but he would be glorious in the air and the water, she knew it. Truth be told she had never trained a water mount before, and she couldn't wait to get to it! Grinning, Jack finally pulled back on the reins a little bit, getting him to stop where he was for a moment as he looked back at her angrily. If looks could kill... "You have to know it, boyo, don't give me that look," she told him sternly, knowing he understood nothing of what she was saying anyway. That was alright though, she figured with a little smile, he didn't have to understand her, he just needed to do what she asked of him. They would get to the fun stuff pretty soon, he just had to be a bit patient she figured with a smile.

Go and stop were done, Jack knew what was next, and pulled back on the reins some more. Given shook his head a little and snorted before he started backing up, trying to get away from the pressure on his face. Jack smiled a little and tossed him a fish before doing it again just in case. Given backed away again with an unhappy hiss and then stopped when she stopped pulling. Great, he was doing well with the bridle commands, she figured, even though his bridle was more of a hackamore style. She didn't like bits for her animals mouths, it seemed a little cruel and unusual, especially if she was feeding them something during the training. If they wanted to hunt as well, what could she really do? It didn't make sense, but that was fine, she had her own style and that was all she needed at that moment.

Bridle Knowledge - 4
Giving him a bit of a break for a little while, she just let him get used to her being in the saddle for awhile. He was going to have to carry her for awhile at a time until things were calmed down a bit, she figured, and that was fine. She would take off the bridle and saddle eventually, when it was time to change things up. For now she started to pull the reins to the left and flicked, making him go forward and curve toward the left to get away from the pressure again, just in case. Jack wondered what was going to happen whenever they were done with training, if that was even possible. She was going through the training list she was going through with the others, just for solidarity or something she figured. Either way, it helped to train the same things they were training too.

Right, she stopped with the left side and started him up again and pulled to the right, making him go right. He fought for a moment but then resigned himself for a bit and went where she steered him toward. Jack was pleased with his progress so far, and wondered what else was going to happen for awhile, what was next anyway? Ah yes... She sighed a little, she was asking everyone else to train this, so she would too. It wasn't her favorite, but that was fine. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and leaned forward in the saddle a little, wondering what she was going to do and what pace she was going to take with everything. It had to be about 9, 9:30 in the morning or so, she wasn't too sure just yet, and they had a long day ahead of them it seemed. That was fine, there was a lot to train.

Ground Tie - 1
Jack hopped from the saddle, a little sore from the odd way of sitting on the back of a Wiurn, and took the reins in front of his head before she let him follow her for awhile, holding onto the reins. Then she finally told him to stay and dropped the reins, giving him a treat following that just in case. He looked confused, because he already knew what she meant, but that was odd she was giving him food, it must mean there was something else to this. He took a step forward and she narrowed her eyes a bit, "No, stay Given." He stopped moving and tilted his head a little bit, wondering what was going on at the moment, but there had to be something going on no matter what, right? Jack smiled at him and tossed him another fish. She needed to really make sure he saw the reins drop to associate the two after awhile.

Ground Tie - 2
Everything would eventually be fine she knew, but she had to get him to learn this no matter what. Jack picked up the reins again and had him follow her for a bit before she turned and deliberately dropped the reins in front of his eyes, "Stay, Given." He tilted his head as she moved away from him a bit, and then she tossed him a fish. He had seen the reins drop and heard the command, but there wasn't anything clicking just yet. It didn't help that Wiurn weren't the smartest of animals, but at least they were that much at this point. Jack wasn't sure what all they were going to have to do with things, and that was fine by her she supposed. She pushed a hand through her hair, smoothing back a few wisps that had fallen from the hair tie, and then she looked around a bit, the Docks were getting busy it seemed.

Ground Tie - 3
While she worked with the Wiurn, she wondered if this was actually a decent thing to train or not. Of course it had it's advantages, but if someone just yelled at them to stay, then it didn't really matter. Unless they were mute or something, she figured. Jack sighed, picked up the reins, and then had him follow her again before she dropped the reins and told him to stay once more. It worked beautifully, and she figured next time she wouldn't tell him the words, just drop the reins and start to walk on and all that. It only made sense to work on things a little bit more as time went on. Jack sighed a little and shook her head, she just knew she was getting kind of bored and there was a thought brewing in her head a little before they continued training. What about taking Given to the Mansion? They could stay outside.

Ground Tie - 4
Jack picked up the reins again and started to walk once more. At least she was getting some exercise in today, she had to give herself that much for what she was doing. Of course Given was also being trained, which was good, and she hoped he would retain it no matter what and everything. Jack chewed on her lip a little and then showed him the reins before she dropped them and walked off. He took a few steps but finally stayed put, and the woman turned and tossed him a fish once he'd stopped. Things were going well at least, and while she wasn't completely sure he understood, it was coming along and that was good enough for her. Jack smiled at him and then glanced out over the water. She was hoping to get into the water today, but she didn't think that was going to happen at this point.
