It purred and wove around the person's legs for a moment before it stood on its hind legs and batted at where it could smell more jerky in. It wanted more! It didn't get to eat like this too often...

Morgan just barely kept theirself from jerking away as the creature wound around their legs. That... Was going to leave cat hair, everywhere on their black pants. Oh, oh well. Morgan couldn't help but laugh a bit as the creature jumped up, searching for more jerky. "Here..." Morgan said, breaking off a piece and offering it to the creature to see if it would take it straight from their hand. Ah well, if Morgan suffered an accidental bite it wouldn't hurt anything they figured. Morgan gently reached out, pen still in hand, to see if the creature would let them pet it.
Morgan wasn't usually into critters that were not in some way extremely dangerous or dragony, but the creature was... Cute. It also appeared to have standard cat-stuff going on, so that was interesting. What allowed it to have wings? Morgan looked at the creature, but especially at those strange wings.
The wiurn, on the other hand, was simply floating, looking out over the grass in the area, a strange reddish-golden hue in the coming darkness.

Purring deeply, the Caterfly took the offered jerky and then rubbed up against the person's hand with it's head. It like this one, they were feeding it and that made it immensely happy. It wound around their legs once more before laying down in front of them, rolling onto it's back, and licking one of it's paws. It would concede to going with them, if they let it...
[Congratulations, you've tamed the Caterfly!]

Morgan was not exactly the most sure that they would even be good at taking care of a cat, they hadn't really ever had one before, but it couldn't be too hard, right? Morgan thought it was interesting and oddly cute that the creature cuddled into their legs, and took treats from their hands... Perhaps just the one time? Morgan guiltily glanced up at the wiurn, and then scooped up the kitty. "Alright, you can come home with me." They said. They decided to pick up anything nearby too, armful of a kitty with a mouthful of jerky, which was interesting to say the least. The other hand was around the steel chain on the wiurn. They would come back later, Morgan decided, and check this place out again. For now, the kitty was coming home with them.
Morgan picked up anything that was around them directly before going home, kitty in hand and balloon-like fluffy wiurn on a chain.

Morgan took the creatures home, and then immediately came back with the wiurn. Morgan decided that they would go for just a little while longer; just long enough to get the wiurn's psycho-social aspect to begin taking effect. Wiurn were horribly dangerous, and needed to be thoroughly bonded as quickly as possible right before training, to keep them from harming the owner. Morgan was planning to train this creature to be a mount for the new Training Guild challenge. Morgan had already been planning on training this creature to be a mount, but now time was of the essence, so to speak. The bespectacled human immediately entered the gate and decided to begin looking for other things to study. The same clipboard was with them, along with a pen. The bespectacled human made sure that their glasses were high enough up on their nose before continuing on, keeping the wiurn relatively closeby using the steel chain and collar as it floated.

Morgan was sure that the other people that they had walked by in the street had been quite concerned and some even frightened to see the wiurn that the human had there. Wiurns did not float. Wiurns were not fluffy. Wiurns had wings, not extra legs. It was deformed; it had no faceplate, it had no tail blade, it was super fluffy. Morgan had it tied up somewhat, so that it could not lash out at anyone or blast them with fire. Everyone stared at the strange floating creature, and had kept on walking. Morgan felt a bit funny; practically holding onto a balloon for all it was worth. However, Morgan did not plan on going through this forever like this; just until the creature began the bonding process. Then, it would be training time.
The wiurn watched Morgan with more interest than usual, even as they walked through the curious waving field of red knee-high wheat.

Morgan had wanted to stay here for a while and check out the area for studying purposes, all while spending enough time and proximity with the wiurn to get it to not automatically try to kill them whenever they started the training process. The creature's name was Michiryuu; meaning dragon's path. Morgan had chosen the name because it did kind of look like a big fluffy chicken dragon, but only just so. Morgan thought it looked absolutely goofy, but figured it would be fun to ride a floating creature around, at least. The bespectacled human knew that they had a bit more time before the creature wouldn't be dangerous to them, and spending that time out here in the waving grain was going to be the absolute best.
Morgan had planned to test it soon enough; Morgan wanted to pet the creature, after a while. Just when Morgan was considering reaching up and doing that; night visibly fell in the mansion's property around them.

Morgan looked around in the sky, still a little baffled at how the time of day could be different inside the mansion grounds, and not outside of them. As soon as the bespectacled human began paying attention to the sky; screaming noises began around their feet. Morgan leapt up a bit, and glanced around, being frightened at first by the noise. Soon, the human finally realized what was going on; the world was erupting into fireworks; blue, red, green, white, and pink. It seemed to be coming from everywhere at first, giving the chaos elemental a fright. However, Morgan was able to deduce the source of the firework streams, which oddly enough did not seem to be setting fire to them, instead producing rays of light that only appeared to be sparks.
It was coming from what Morgan had assumed was red waving wheat. Instead, they seemed to be something else entirely. Though Morgan had been frightened at first; the wiurn was not phased, instead watching Morgan's reaction carefully.

Morgan stepped back and slowly out of the fireworks field, so that they could better watch the area and study it. As soon as Morgan settled down, the fireworks stopped. Aha; something about being touched must have caused them to create those lights? Morgan wrote this idea down, and then was surprised as a soft breeze flowed across the field, setting off all of the fireworks again in a wave. As soon as it began, it stopped, along with the wave of the breeze. Morgan crossed out what they had written just before, and then jotted down this new idea; movement must give it the energy, or the inclination to do this. However, what was the purpose?
Perhaps this was basically somewhat like the pollination that occurred in normal plants? They were not really sure. Morgan stayed there for about an hour longer, noticing things and then jotting them down, before Finally standing up and cracking their back. Well, it was time to go home for the day. This should have done the trick with the wiurn.

Morgan hadn't been sure if they were going to come back this month, but two rather interesting things had happened since that original decision. First off, Morgan had finally managed to learn a bit about the mansion (carpentry should come in handy if Morgan actually entered the building, right?) and also, Morgan had brought a very young baby Dynasty Tat-lung into their care. Morgan had recently been working with the much older and nearly fully matured Seimei and Ryuusei, and they figured that they could take care of an even younger one at this point. If absolutely required, Seimei and Ryuusei could help Morgan with the care of the tiny creature. Morgan wouldn't normally bring any water-bound creature anywhere save for the docks, but this one was so small that the travel tank absolutely dwarfed it. It was settled; Morgan took the young baby dragonling to the Mansion, to show it the sights early. The creature was so young Morgan couldn't even communicate well with it.

Morgan had found that naming a sentient creature made them feel pretty bad, so they were sure to pick the most extravagant sounding names possible to hopefully reflect their majesties as mature individuals. Seimei's name meant 'Life', Ryuusei's meant 'Meteor', and Shigeru's meant 'Luxuriant'. All three of them were certainly quite regal, and the names picked were meant to be just as regal while fitting the individual. Morgan stepped up to the gate, and pushed their glasses up their nose carefully with one hand. "Well, Shigeru, we are here. You can see out of the tank, right?" Morgan took the time to speak this in common, convey it in sign language, and convey it through the tat-lung ring at the same time. Shigeru was watching through the tank, looking at Morgan with amusement and concern; seeing as Morgan was working so hard to communicate in a way that would be understood.

Shigeru was too young to really know how to communicate even in 'tat-lung' too well, but he gave a (rather clever for his age) affirmative back in tat-lung. Tat-lungs sure did learn quickly... Morgan tried not to get emotional over the fact that the small individual was so young; just where did the Hunter's Lodge get these creatures? Tat-lungs had not been young overall in years, but this one looked like it was hardly a week old. "Okay Shigeru. Let's go see some interesting stuff." Morgan said, conveyed, and signed, and then quickly grabbed the wagon's handle, pushing open the gate to the rest of the mansion grounds. Morgan wasn't really looking for anything in particular this go around, but figured that it would be fun to have a bonding day, just them and 'the baby'. He was the youngest Tat-lung that Morgan was taking care of, so they wanted to give him as much attention as possible.

Shigeru is a Dynasty tat-lung; a so called 'VSC'. One of the stock colors that was supposed to be particularly limited and hard to get from the Labs, they were practically genetically programmed to immediately bond to the order-er. Morgan may not have believed that the tat-lung were truly developed from the Labs in their entirety, but this one was obviously picking things up at the incredible rate that creatures with a decent start on the psycho-social bonded tended to. It was a little disheartening. The tat-lung would automatically like Morgan due to this, and it was perhaps a bit icky to think of a sentient being that was programmed to like someone. The fact that the creatures gotten from the Hunter's Lodge had their original bond addition intact made Morgan... Feel like perhaps the Hunters' Lodge had more going on than met the eye. How odd... Morgan found a path leading from the gate to the door, in a winding way, across the yard. That wasn't there before!
