Some creatures freeze up when another comes from behind and starts sniffing their behind. Some others will turn and lash out. Or jump around in surprise. Flare, the kind who freezes up, pauses when something breathes heavily on his tail end. He's bent double with his legs splayed out some, attempting to do some weeding on a stubborn root that refused to come up. Instead it just kept pulling sideways. A runner. But something is breathing hot air on his behind; the ssashirk freezes, glancing slightly backwards. A sarane. First thought is that the raptordrake Sidewinder had broken free of his cage and had it in mind to eat the gimp ssashirk. This one was smaller though. More... wide eyed from what he could see. Using one hand as a spring, Flare stood back up slowly, turning around. It was a sarane, a younger looking drake. With a squeaker toy.

"I am SO SORRY. Get back here you brute." The sarane is jerked back sharply suddenly. A female jogs up, catching hold of the stray chain dangling from the drake's collar. Not as thick as what normal sized adult sarane use. The drake makes an unhappy noise, garbled by the squeaker in his mouth. He wanted to say hello to the other drake! What was wrong with that? "Did he hurt you? I swear he's not dangerous yet." the owner is babbling, and only about half of it Flare's understanding. "It okaee." he tells her once she stops to catch her breath. "I not ffuwt." She expels a deep sigh of relief. "Thank the binder. This brute is nothing but trouble when I turn my back. Tugged his chain right out of my hand and went cantering off into the gardens. I think he gave the warden flashbacks or something, if they are there." "Whee eeou out witff ffim?" "Uh...Pet Appreciation Month. People help other people train their creatures for the month. There's a flyer tacked around." She passes him one. There's a note on it for finding a trainer to try for a lamadidron... A what? 2 4.20

"You've got a pretty thick accent. Are you from the south or the east?" she asks as the ssashirk reads and rereads the flyer. "East." Flare mentions softly as he reads. Out of the corner of his vision, the drake is chewing on his squeaky toy, drooling on the fence. From the looks of regular browns, they had no elemental mess yet; not from what Sidewinder had faced in the past. "Gotcha. Give the training someone else's creature a try, you may learn something about a critter you've not worked with previously." She gives the drake's collar another tug, and the two leave. Later on, Flare is heading out of the garden, with a map in hand and the flyer. The warden had lent him a map to borrow while out on his errand. Errand of training someone elses creature? What sort of idea is this. Said creature looked like a stone wall come to life out of a bog. 3 5.20

"Please teach my lamadidron to not chew on my couch and to defend himself with his tail on command." the flyer tacked to his chain reads. "Bag of gems tied above your head. Thing's a glutton." Looking up, he finds and gets down a bag of small gemlike stones to feed the creature. About the size of a medium dog, the lamadidron has a few bits of copper wire in their mouth, chewing away. There's bits of stuffing scattered about, and a couch cushion mostly eaten up not far away. The creature appears to be on time out for eating the couch. Golden eyes glance up at him. This creature highly resembles a lizard to Flare's eyes, although he's never seen a lizard this big. With a brown marked face, the creature's body appears to be slick and grayish white, marked with deep moss colored stone chunks across its body. The tail is almost clubbed at the end. 4 6.20

Probably to teach it not to chew on couches, or bite at all, before teaching the thing to defend himself with his tail. Both being tailed creatures, Flare wonders briefly if the lama would be smart enough to copy another tailed creature. He'd never tested the strength of his own tail. Carefully, he approaches the creature. The lama's gaze glances him up and down; no food, but she can smell it. It smells better then the sharp taste of copper wires poking out of her mouth. He's reaching into the little bag that the owner usually uses to feed her; is that... multigem? Oooh, what a treat. This lama didn't seem as picky as a luster or a peacock, but who knows. Who knows. He shows her the gem between clawed fingers; this creature resembles more a two feet dragon-lizard then a human. She tries to lunge at his hand, to snag the gem. A sharp snap of his jaws and a hiss forces her to recoil. No. This was his. 5 7.20

This giant lizard with attitude distinctly smelled male to her. Now taking her food and being rude about wanting it herself. What a rude giant. She gets up and starts moving towards the couch cushion. This was already hers; her smell, her ooze is already all over it. The giant lizard snaps his jaws again and hisses. Nope, she's not going to listen. This was her food, her couch, her territory. Giant lizard has no power here. Until she's yanked away with the chain around her neck. The one with the horrible taste of iron. She hates the taste of iron. What? This is not... why? No. You do not chew couch. You do not bite others. Flare didn't know on how these creatures worked. If they were rockish, would they act like rocks? Acted more like a dog in his opinion. The creature tugs towards the couch again, and he pulls back. No. You may not eat the couch. No. 6 8.20
