What a wonderful day! Jinx was out enjoying the sun, a little rope strapped around the foals neck and chest, almost like a harness you'd put on a dog. She was a good filly, and Jinx loved her dearly, but they were still learning together and still bonding together and she would hate for anything to happen to her. It was getting boring, stuck at Ashe's house, even if it was a huge farm filled with fun things to do. Jinx was a traveler, she liked to wander. Normally, she was out exploring the park at dawn, or skinny dipping in the dock at night, but today she wanted to visit this mansion and see what the hype really was all about.
Jezebel walked next to her mistress, prancing high, tail held aloft, kicking out her heels in excitement. She got to explore! See new things! She was super excited and thrilled and there were so many new things! She wanted to see them all and smell them all.

They made it to the grounds. Hard to mistake them for anything else, really. Even Jinx could feel the magic emanating off of this place, and see the bursts of magic in the air. Such pretty cartwheels of dazzling lights spiraling through the air, sparks dancing and raining down. It was twilight, Jinx's favorite time for a walk, the most thrilling and magical time when you could just feel the planet settling down, and here she was, surrounded by - oh, those were just fireworks.
Beaming, she started for the gate to the property, giving the rope a gentle tug. The small Equillion at her side hesitated, suddenly unsure if she wanted to be around exploding booms in the sky that rained lights down on everything beneath. It was terrifying! But so thrilling and exciting! Jezebel chose to look toward her human for guidance, and saw Jinx filled with awe and happiness, and decided... Maybe she could do this, maybe it wasn't as scary as it looked.

As long As Jinx seemed to be okay with all of this, then Jezebel felt she could handle it too. She still spooked a little bit at the loud sounds as more fireworks went off, but the woman was right there with her, ready to calm her down with some soft words and some gentle pets. Jezebel shifted uneasily, lashing her tail, but overall she felt safe. Not that she would choose to be in a place like this on her own, if it was ever up to her, of course. But Jinx made it seem a little less scary.
The way that they had come together in the first place was sweet, too. On the eve of her one year anniversary of coming to work for Ashe, the man had given her a foal that had been born recently. It had been love at first sight, and here they were.

She was one of the Labs created pets, and even more so because it was the product of two male Equillion who were emotionally attached to each other. Did Jinx believe animals could love each other just the same as humans? Of course. Sometimes more so than humans! Jinx herself had never been smitten by another person for longer than a couple weeks at most. Humans were lovely, both male and females, but she just hadn't found anyone for her. She was happy for the Equillion, impressed they were able to 'create' a foal between them, and more than happy to raise said foal. Jezebel was a spitfire, always charging around and getting into things. Overconfident and eager to get into trouble.
Which was why it was so funny to see her so nervous here. Jinx supposed that was the difference between 'family' Equillion surrounding her, and being alone. Oh well, she'd have to learn to be alone with just Jinx, because that's how it was gonna be.

The pair of them reached the door, walking up the few steps to reach it. Jezebel hesitated, then hopped up all three steps at once and landed on the landing with her owner. She pressed her forehead against Jinx's leg and nickered softly, nuzzling briefly and then peering around her thigh to watch the door. Jinx opened it and the shadows within looked ominous, though Jezebel was used to ominous. Her father was the most terrifying thing on the farm! So if it was creepy, she could handle it! Just as long as it wasn't so loud she couldn't hear what was coming to get her...
Walking nicely beside Jinx, Jezebel crossed the threshold into the house. It looked almost just like the outdoors here. Grassy floor, the illusion of a high noon sun, fireflies buzzing around. She tried to chase after one, but for some reason it always stayed just a little in front of her. She eventually gave up and stood still, flicking her tail.

Their last trip hadn't been productive at all! And since then, Jinx had returned the Equillion foal back to Ashe, her rightful owner. Jinx enjoyed the company of Ashe's equines, and even pretended they were her own - but she had to admit now, it was time to focus on her own dragons. Even if they brought back memories and anxieties.
With her today, draped around her neck and over her shoulders, was her newest addition. It was a cross between a Ling Ling and a... Well, to be honest, Jinx didn't know what the other thing was, but it was super soft and the pair had made a beautiful baby. Multiple babies, actually. Jinx had signed up upon hearing other people were willing to go in on it, and now she had a product of science...
That was completely adorable! She couldn't keep her hands off of the baby. She had named her Mouse, and Mouse had the softest fur she'd ever touched...

They arrived on the grounds, with Mouse content to just lounge around her neck and receive neck scratches. Jinx loved to scratch under that cute chin, back under the edges of her jaw, or on the top of her head. It felt like her fingers were digging into a cloud! She crooned softly to the little dragon critter, taking her hand away only when she needed it to open things - like the gates onto the grounds - and when she did, Mouse would make a soft crooning sound to try and get her attention again.
Once they were inside the grounds, Mouse got a little curious about their surroundings. She perked up and looked around, bracing her front paws on Jinx's clavicle so she could get a better look. Jinx wondered if she could sense the magic in this place. Jinx could, but she had no use for it. The magic here was innate, it was what made the mansion building itself.

Taking a break from fishing, Jinx decided to try this Mansion that she'd heard so much about. She'd peeked in a couple of times, but nothing exciting had happened before. So what, it was an old run down building on some land that changed. Nothing that special, from what she could see. But just in case, she brought with her one of her precious friends - a mystic crossbred baby dragon! Gullveig, or as Jinx thought of her, Gulli, was as inquisitive as she was adorable. She seemed to be so magical she glowed! Just like the stars in the sky that she couldn't get enough of. The baby drago was large, too - Jinx couldn't carry her, so she had to walk on her own! She would be massive when she grew up! The pair walked onto the property of the Mansion grounds. The place seemed alright to her. She didn't notice anything too weird here on the outside. The sun was shining brightly down on them, making Gulli's wings sparkle. The dragon preferred nighttime, but also seemed to enjoy the warmth of the sun. Jinx was sure she would be fine.
The pair of them walked across the grass, walking toward the mansion itself. It reared up before them, looking harmless and inviting. Jinx studied it for a few moments before taking the last steps to the door. She swung it wide, not bothering to knock since she knew no one was inside. At least, no one who owned the building and would care about her skipping polite protocol. The dragon stayed by her side, peering around her to get a good view of the inside of the building. Nothing jumped out at them. In fact, it looked like a normal house. Jinx walked inside boldly. Gulli looked up at her, then followed suit, confident like her human.

Once Jinx was clear of the door, the door slammed shut of its own accord. Jinx jumped, as intent as she was on watching for things sneaking up or jumping out at her, she hadn't expected something to make a loud noise like that! She turned to look over her shoulder and saw it was just the door. She let out a sigh of relief and walked more into the room. Her dragon seemed to have not liked the noise, either, for she turned and hissed at the door, giving it the dirtiest of looks before following along inside the house.
While Jinx was looking around, the Dragon spotted something. It was round and pretty and a little smaller than she was - it definitely looked like a toy, just for her! Gulli scurried on over to it, leaning forward and sniffing it once she was close enough. Her tail twitched once, twice.... She lowered, her butt wriggling as it went higher.

Similarly, Jinx spotted the next egg. She remembered these things from the river and was surprised to see them here - were they following her?? Or were they simply everywhere? She started to walk toward it and that was when she smelled it. Something strange, yet sweet and enticing. She inhaled again. It had to be incense, it was a combination of Scents. Maybe a bundle of herbs left to cleanse the area? That sounded like a good idea, actually. She smiled a bit as she smelled it, appreciating the lavender and hints of other more exotic plants.
When she next looked over, she saw Gulli was sparkling extra brightly. She was already cosmic-ly beautiful, all swirling nebulas and star sparkles. But she was even more stunning now. Dazzling. Jinx couldn't take her eyes off the baby dragon. And Gulli turned and gazed back at her, head tilted, curious. She chirped a question, then her outline started to blur.
