Renathan was bringing in a ton of gems to the Heavy Hammer today; he had been thinking about doing this run for a long time, but hadn't wanted to come do it until he had a large amount to trade. That was the idea, anyway. He steps into the shop, and then turns towards where he figured the shopkeeper would be. Then he lowered his antlers as the individual quietly, in his greeting. "Good day! I hope you are doing alright." He said, his voice kept friendly. "I have a few gemstones I would like to sell." He was sure that the man would be fine appraising the gems, they were good finds, just not minerals he wanted to work with. He wondered if he would even take some of them; but who knew? He might as well ask, anyway. He brings the sack of gems over. "I am sure most of them would be of use to you."
Kor grunted a moment and then took out his jeweler's glass to look at the gems. He muttered to himself as he scratched down figures on a piece of paper, separating them out into two piles. When he was finished, he nodded and pushed the two marquis stones back over to the man, "I won't be takin' these. Th' rest'll get you 1261 credits."
Renathan grinned, that sounded like a good price to him! He had somewhat expected the marquis not to be accepted. He was a bit confused as to what they were for; since he hadn't really found a way to use them in gemstone creation, and they were practically useless otherwise. He happily takes the two that won't be accepted back, and then smiles at the man beneath his mask; his eyes crinkling. "Thank you sir, that price sounds great to me." He was planning another mining trip soon, but he was taking a quick break from that for just a bit, and this was all he really had time to do. Perhaps he'd bring his dud gems back in the future; or rather the ones he felt like were duds. Auburn had been left outside, of course. He typically did this whenever he went into stores that didn't accept regular pets. He didn't really like to be away from her if he didn't have to be.
Renathan grinned, took the credits and placed them in a pouch. "Thank you so much!" He took the marquis stones and the credits with him, and moved out to the door. "I'll be back with more eventually, sir!" He realized that he had never asked the individual his name, and he probably should have done that, at least. Well, maybe next time, right? Renathan opened the door without issues and called for Auburn. She swooped down from her perch atop of the store's sign, and then landed on his shoulder amiably, as she was want to do often. "Guess what Auburn?" He said, kindly. Then he opened a can of seeds and handed her one to chew on. She liked it of course, and he enjoyed giving her treats. Well, it was time to go home now, right? He was glad that the deal had went off quite well.
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.

Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*

Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
