The Hunter’s Lodge had gotten Leafy the rare pets she had asked for before, so it seemed only natural to ask for their help once more in tracking down some more pets she wanted. The first on her list was a Polyester Murp. She’d only ever seen an image of an adult in a book before. That one should be fairly simple to obtain. The second pet she wanted was a Pestilence Izer v2. Those were a little trickier on account of the fact that the newer version of Izers tended to die. Like a lot. If she wanted to raise one to both be alive and respect her, she needed to get a hold of a freshly hatched baby. She opened the door to the Hunter’s Lodge swiftly, determination settling onto her features.
“Hello again! I have another job for you,” she announced into the store.
Leafy clutched a folder full of pictures against her chest.
“I need help tracking down a Polyester Murp and a Pestilence Izer v2. The Izer in particular will need to be freshly hatched. It’ll be a bit tricky since I’ll need the hatchling in my possession before it turns seven days old.”
Odoshi sat on the other side of the desk, writing some paperwork. She wasn't too big on this part of the job, but it had to be done. They'd just recently took an order to pick up a few of the easier creatures to get; though the dynasty tat-lung was by far the most difficult thus-far. Even as babies, those things were smarter than most. Shishi perked up; even before the door had opened, and Odoshi looked up immediately as well. Ah, another one. Business was starting to take off. The individual greeted them, ah, it was that one from a few weeks earlier. "Oh, it's you again." She said, continuing the paperwork. At least this one didn't try to haggle or nothing like that.
She reached out, as if asking for the pictures to be placed in her hand. "Polyester Murp eh? We can do that." She said, looking up through her bangs. Her skin iridescence perhaps a bit eerily after the mention of the izer. "You are right to request one like that. We can certainly procure one; delivered to you on the morning of it's hatching." A difficult as heck job, even for them. Odoshi was... Excited about the prospect of trying that one.
Shishi has been glaring at the individual the entire time. Did he ever let up?
Odoshi held her hand out expectantly for pictures and Leafy was quick to hand the folder containing the pictures over to her.
“That’s perfect!” Leafy grinned as she was told that both creatures were possible to get. “Is the price 400 credits per creature as usual?”
Leafy liked when prices remained consistent. It meant the harder to find pets wouldn’t cost her more than any other. She didn’t find it unfair that easier to find pets cost the same. It still took work to find them and if they were any easier to find, she would simply do the task. But she couldn’t do such a thing on her own, therefore she had to pay. She certainly couldn’t just buy any old Pestilence Izer off of someone at the trading post. They needed to bond from a young age and most people couldn’t get them that young. And if they did, they definitely weren’t selling them at that age. She had checked before.
Odoshi took the folder, pulled out the pictures, and then pulled out a manila folder. They placed the photos in the file, and wrote 'Leafy' on it carefully, just as they had before. "Yes, 400 credits a piece will suffice." The cost generally evened out, some creatures were quite easy to get, others were a real challenge. She filed the folder away in a specific Hunter's file; she knew exactly the person to take on this one; but she would have loved to do it herself. Shishi finally seems to lean his head down onto his front legs this go around, but he kept his eyes on the customer relentlessly.
The consistent glare of the Galabex was a bit unnerving. Leafy hadn’t really known Galabex to be particularly menacing. Some could look quite scary, but this one wasn’t a custom breed. Nevertheless, she fully believed that it was capable of harming her if need be. 800 credits would be easy enough to count out. Even amounts always were. She already kept her credits sorted into large denominations. She grabbed a pouch that she knew contained 1000 credits and carefully deducted 200 from the lot. She was starting to run relatively low on credits, but that wasn’t anything a few trips to other stores couldn’t fix. She had many gems that she could sell and she needed to unload some pocket pets from some quick cash.
“That’s 800 credits ready to go!” she beamed as she pushed the credits over. “Thank you for helping me!”
The prospect of owning a Murp was intriguing to Leafy. She had wanted the Izer for a while, but the Murp had suddenly attracted her attention on a whim. Something had drawn her to the Polyester’s colours and her fingertips had itched until she'd made the decision to purchase one.
Odoshi took the credits and then put them in the safe below the desk. "It should take about two weeks." She said, offhandedly. Perhaps earlier, actually, but she wanted to overshoot it so that people don't expect anything too early. "Bye." She said, and then began working on the work she'd been doing when the individual came in.
Shishi was certainly larger than galabex normally got. He took up the entire area that would usually be walked around to get to the other side of the counter, a security measure if nothing else. He certainly looked a tad... Strange for a galabex.
