The Dare to Mine! (Redux)

   This is our main prize for the dare. Its a mining cart/wagon/rover/preferred-terminology-here, ensured to help any good digger roll their equipment (and spoils) back and forth between the depths and the surface.

   The Mining Buggy has six wheels on suspensions to get through rough patches of tunnels, as well as an addition pair of wheels located on the frontal frame for aid in climbing slightly steep bumps and hills. A lantern at the back ensures at least a moderate amount of illumination around the immediate area of the Buggy while the sturdy rope allows it to be pulled along by a person or beast of burden. While the Buggy is not the fastest of tools to bring along, nor can it climb really steep hills or traverse boulder-infested terrain, its compact size and sturdy frame still make it a good companion-of-burden to bring along through other paths and tunnels.

   Now.. The Dare.

Main Dare - I dare you to mine up a minimum of 5 gemstones from the Mines!

Bonus Dare 1 - mine up another 10 gemstones from the Mines for a Crystal Torch!

Bonus Dare 2 - mine up another 10 gemstones from the Mines for a Gemstone Field Guide!

Bonus Dare 3 - mine up another 10 gemstones from the Mines for a Digging Rod!

If you do, you get added to the list of people who will receive the Buggy as well as the bonus feature of feeling accomplished.

A few notes: Only gemstones would count, so getting rocks or familiars or such wouldn't add to it. If you get a crystal, good on you! ..But it still counts as just one gemstone. Be sure to post your progress (and results) here, for all the braggy and/or prizey glory!

Bonus Dares: It seems getting 5 gemstones has been more than easy for folks, so here's what we can do: create more prizes which can be redeemed by mining up another 10 or even more gemstones, starting from the moment the new item is announced. You can pick and choose between these items, but for each one you'd need to find another new 10 gemstones.

- Crystal Torch, a cold, smoke-less, fuel-less source of light that you can hook to outcrops of walls or stab into the ground for even more stability, lighting up the immediate area in clear glow. With a small touch the light intensity can even be adjusted based on need!

- Gemstone Field Guide - Sometimes being a miner isn't easy, especially when you're looking for that one specific stone but all the rocks you find look all the same shades or red. With this handy-dandy field guide, those troubles are behind you! Riddled with information on every type of stone possible and pictures to go with them, you'll be able to tell a garnet from a ruby and an opal from a chalcedony in short order.

- Digging Rod - The grand-daddy of all prybars. Sometimes your pickaxe just doesn't have that heft to lodging a boulder. Sometimes your chisel is just.. too small. The digging rod is a whole full meter of solid steel, chisel-headed at the end and with an ergonomic grip on top, perfect for clearing out those Really Big Rocks, so you can get to the small ones.

The Mining Dare Is Back, Baby~

We're back in business and (re-)starting off with two new Bonus Dare items - the Gemstone Field Guide and the Digging Rod!

To be eligible, you must only have completed the Buggy Dare (which is still open, if you happened to miss that) after which any additional 10 gemstones mines will make you eligible for any of the three Bonus Dare items. (Meaning, you can choose whichever one, you don't need to do them in order x3).

The Dare resumes from the time of this post, so happy digging, everyone~
