Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is the July 3rd. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

For the third time in a few hours between the end of the fight, and when Ridelys felt comfortable enough to leave her moody drake to his own devices, Caiman loudly complained of that not being his idea of a win. He hated forfeits. He hated not bringing down his opponent and standing over their downed bodies, roaring victory. 'For the last time, there is nothing I can do about it. You weren't paying attention, he was crying.' It was passing, but as she had left the box, she may or may not have passed the other youth in the pit. With tears tracking down his face. {Didn't even get a scratch on it...} and there he went again. Scuffing his claws through the straw strewn dirt with contempt, the drake ignored her attempts to console his bruised pride. {Weak willed. If you can't stand seeing blood, don't be here where it stains the very scent of the place.} Yes, yes, she knew. Multiple times. And off she went. Back the next day, with a new envelope in hand; and it already spelled doom. {What's your problem} Caiman hissed, glancing in her direction. He'd find out soon enough as the gate opened. 3.5 7.20 [ready]

Yes *Special!* Chosen extra move *Special! *: Maul (4) Their last battle had been anything but spectacular. The opponent never showed up. Amelia had sat uncomfortably in the stands, bouts of anxiety about the battling eating away at her. Sandy had felt this, and the Thundergug got nervous as well. The duo tried to relax, but battles were always nerve wrecking. When the pit staff member came to them to tell them they could go home, it was disappointing to say the least. Amelia and Sandy slowly made their way home, and Sandy had a hard time really seeing it as a win. A forfeited win was different than a battle win, but it was one less battle the Thundergug had to be involved in. As Amelia found out, Sandy didn't exactly love being in the battle arena. So today, when they arrived after the other opponent, it was certainly different. Well, looks like you're definitely going to be battling today. It's okay. A brown Sarane, might be a bit tricky if he gets in the air. I mean, I had a crazy good luck moment in that last battle, but I'm not anticipating it going forwards.Their previous battle Sandy had little chance of hitting the dexterous flying Tat, but somehow she managed to cause some damage and shortly after the battle was over. Today, they would see how things played out. Neither member of the team was overly excited about the battle, and the dreary weather didn't make either feel much better. Amelia kissed the Thundergug's forehead, and Sandy nudged the side of the mammalian's face before the two separated. Sandy to go to the pit to battle, and Amelia to make her way to the stands. She paused when she got up the metal stairs, and looked at her opponent, she took a moment before walking over to the woman. "Hello, my name's Amelia. Good luck to you and your Sarane. Hopefully the weather holds up for us." The grey clouds clustered throughout the sky, and she prayed that the rain would hold off until the battle was over. 17 (Ready)

Not another gug; the thought between them resonated twofold. Ridelys didn't immediately recognize the brown and black markings on the hide of this particular beast of burden, but to her beastmaster's eyes, this was a well loved pet. Healthy complexion from horntips to tailend, a good amount of muscle from exercising, a pink ribbon, and a look of 'I'm here' in her eye. She wasn't the monster of a monochrome that they had faced last round... Caiman hissed, he didn't care how the thing looked, but it was hell for him. And he still didn't like gugs, no matter if he wasn't especially 'afraid'. How were they going to work this one out... Ridelys gave the opponent owner a polite nod and greeting. Rain huh? She had felt the increase in moisture levels when leaving the kennels this morning. Another nod, she agreed. Not a good time for a storm. By experience, usually these creatures would try to spook him as he got off the ground. {Spooked.} the drake snorted in response. Nothing could technically spook him, in his own prideful opinion. Lets see if they could figure out what he was going to do. Being slothful. 4.5 9.20 [Silence]

Amelia quickly realized that the other owner wasn't extremely interested in talking, and she moved to the side. Well, that was okay. The snow leopard didn't exactly have a lot of friends, (no friends really,) and it was interesting when she got to see other people. She could speak with them, and she hoped they would be interested in speaking back. And when they weren't, well then she had to let it go. She smiled and nodded back and took a seat, leaning her body against the railing. The pink ribbon hung softly on her wrist, and she was excited to purchase something that fit the Thundergug's colours better. Alas, those things took time to create.
What are you thinking?
The mammalian's voice crept into the Thundergug's head, and she turned and looked at the mammalian in the stands. Even when it came to battles, they were a team. Amelia didn't make Sandy do anything she didn't want to, and that even included the endings of some of their battles. A chill crept over them, and the air went still around the arena. The wind stopped howling, and a soft tinnitus filled the head of the mammalian and the Thundergug. It was nauseating really.
This doesn't feel right. There's no sound. The Thundergug opened her mouth to let out a low groan, but the silence around them muted her voice. This is terrible. So our usual strategy of me roaring at our opponent probably isn't going to work. I can't imagine my first attack is going to exactly land, it never does... but I can't just stand here. I don't really feel like running around aimlessly. How do you feel about me trying to strike with the spikes on my tail?
You know what, I don't think we do that enough. Let's try it. Worst it can do is miss.
The confidence in the duo was great, and even though the deafening silence was frightening, the Thundergug still went for an attack. She stomped the ground, and then moved quickly at the Sarane. She turned her body in the last moment, and a tail with a collection of spikes came swinging at the brown drake.

The creature moved out of the way. Sandy stumbled into the sand, almost losing her footing. She whined, trying to turn back quickly to the drake before he moved. Sandy had been to the training gym and put a lot of effort into becoming more dexterous, and it did show in her battle abilities. Of course, she was flightless so it wasn't like she would be able to keep up with some of those opponents. They moved so quickly, and even the large brute wasn't able to sustain more than one or two attacks. She was a tank, built for stamina and strength. She could only endure so many attacks though, and some of the opponents she couldn't even hit they moved so quickly. This battle she didn't feel as bad so far, but if the drake got into the air it would be a different story.
Okay, brush it off. He hasn't hit you yet, and you want to get the first attack in. Let's try something different.
The Thundergug turned herself towards the drake.
Yeah it didn't work the first time so let's try a different approach. Maybe I can do some sort of bite?
That sounded good. Amelia looked at the Sarane, trying to figure how much damage it could take. Sandy was such a tank, and most opponents dropped quickly. It was the weird lightning moves that caused immediate damage, and the venomous strikes would cause the lasting damage. Sandy was fully physical, she didn't have any elemental specialties. Which meant her attacks weren't as powerful. But she was still strong, and if she was able to get an attack in she could take most opponents down in one move.
Sandy lunged forwards. It was different than most of her attacks. Usually she put her whole body into it. Attacked with her shoulders, her head crest... even sometimes using her claws. But rarely did she use her teeth. But this time she would. She aimed her jaws towards the drake's shoulder and upper body area. The Thundergug wasn't crazy into battling, but if she had to... she could do some damage.

The whole effect of silencing the world can really mess with your head. For Caiman, he didn't hear anything, not even the noises that big gug could have/would have/ could not do now. No more moo roaring for you. He had a prideful moment briefly that it had actually worked. The drake sneered in the gug's direction. But now he was on the ground still, and ducked the tail that sailed way too close to his head. Problem with this strategy he was finding; he was still on the ground. And now unable to get away. Or could he. 'Not enough time. Just try to get something.' Ridelys sounded panicked. Her hands gripped the handbar before her tightly, fearing for the veteran drake's pride to overtake his instincts. 'Shes coming!' Oh shoot. That was a big gug, and she was coming. Big and rude and no time left to figure this out. He spread his wings out wide, and beat them forward. It was getting surprisingly chilly as the winds whipped around. [winter gust] 5.5 110/66 10.20

Calculations
Sandy uses Bite Sandy's Dexterity of 5 + 9 rolled by staff = 14 vs. the 5 of Caiman Sandy will deal the most damage possible Sandy's Strength of 10 + Bite's damage of 3 = 13 damage 13 - Caiman's Resistance of 5 = 8 Caiman has -1 Stamina remaining
Bit on and bleeding, the Drake falls before his attack can manifest as the healing team rushes out to care for him.
Results Sandy gains 2 levels and Amelia gains 3 pit prize points for winning Caiman gains 1 level and Ridelys gains 1 pit prize point for losing
