A battle of wills began that moment on, but not overtly. Conveyed primarily in looks, huffs from Waar, and emotions across the link, the battle was fought covertly without too many movements between the pair. Finally, after a long moment, the battle was won (but perhaps not the war) and the drake concedes, following Morgan with a bit of a smug sarane look on what was left of his face. The human knew that it was a fight hard won even if no attacks had been thrown; the sarane would be getting an extra treat later, but it would be worth it. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to give him a few more treats. He was scarcely more than skin and bones in his current state anyway. The pair rounded the corner and made their way out to the dexterity training yard, with both of them at least partially satisfied with the conclusion they had come to.

Morgan noticed first off that the usually quite well manicured area that was finally big enough for Waar to be able to do his stretches and such was grown up a tad (and only just a tad, perhaps because the ground was super soaked from all the recent rain). The typically green lawn was still green, but polka-dotted with a variety of wildflowers of all colors. Worst of all, there were bees flitting from flower to flower. The human wasn't really afraid of bees, but they didn't necessarily want them on them. They were a little bit allergic to the stings, but only mildly so. Morgan took a deep breath to steel theirself for the discomfort of knowingly walking through this horrid bee-yard, and Waar noticed it immediately. He gave the human a questioning 'glare' from behind them, but Morgan (though they could practically feel it at this point) ignored his questioning gaze.

Morgan wasn't sure if they would ever get used to the fact that their family members could literally feel their emotion. It was one of those halfway moral quandaries and halfway existential issues that made Morgan feel ultra uncomfortable. However, they especially hated that they couldn't properly hide anything from their family and friends, unlike any of the other individuals on the planet (it was almost a hobby for people to keep things from their families, after all). So when Morgan stood there, in front of the training field at the training gym, staring out at the ton of buzzy bees, they knew that Waar could sort of tell that they were bothered about something or another, and they actually hoped that he didn't triangulate the fact that it was the bees of all things that made them feel so uncomfortable. However, they couldn't stall out here forever, they needed to help Waar out more than they had been.

Waar finally makes a 'harrumph' sort of noise, and that forces Morgan out of their discomforted feeling. They had to push through this, it wasn't like Waar didn't have lots of discomfort all day long, so Morgan needed to pull through this, for him. "It's n-nothing Waar." Morgan said to him, giving him a pat on the shoulder using the gloves to try to convince him. It very obviously didnt' work, and he squinted his eyes at the human in disbelief before they both went out into the field. Morgan found them a relatively flat area with less clover in it than other spots, and hoped that the bees would be more interested in gathering pollen elsewhere to keep them from being around them enough to possibly sting them. It was probably a ridiculous notion to begin with. Bees always had more need to do other things than to go about using their last resort on everyone.

Morgan felt a strange sensation every few moments, as if there was a bee crawling on them, but of course it made no sense as they had enough clothing coverage that there was no way that bees were on them in the places that they felt the wrong sensory information. It gave them that 'ants in the pants' dance, only of course without needing to use the restroom or any of the other reasons for that sensation to occur. Waar certainly noticed how wriggly his human was, and huffed at them. Of course today was going to be even less interesting then usual, and even more trouble than it had been the last time they were here. "...Start now?" He managed through the collar of speech, and Morgan finally looked over to him, tilting their head to the side at the same time. "...Yeah, yeah we-we will." Morgan answered to him. Yeah, that's what they had came here for, not to whine about bees.

The human managed to find a spot to get Waar to lay down in that wasn't quite as covered in bees as some of the other areas. Morgan ran theirself through some thoughts mentally while they used the gloves to start working Waar's muscles loose in his shoulders (which were still very stiff due to his wings and front limbs being heavily damaged) and tried to calm themselves. Bees were good. Bees were a primary or perhaps even only pollinator in a lot of different plants. Bees were a good source of a food item for lots of animals. Bees also made wax and honey, both of which are useful. Honey made for good sweetener, or could make mead. They ran through this the entire time they worked out Waar's left shoulder, and by the time both of the tasks were completed, they felt much more calm than they had before. They weren't so bad...

Just because Waar had agreed to do this apparently did not mean that he was willing to be completely amiable about it. He tried his best to make it difficult for Morgan to help him out with the loosening of his shoulder muscles. He first tried to roll over in such a way that it was difficult for Morgan to get to his shoulder on that side, which prompted the human to huff and then go to move to the other side instead. At this point, he leaned over and tried to pin Morgan's foot, not in such a way that it would harm them, but so that they couldn't move over to the more accessible side of his body. Morgan gave him a gentle shove, a bit of a curse, and then moved back to this side of his body to continue working on his shoulder. The entire situation was frustrating to the human, but they knew that it had to be done regardless of whether or not the drake wanted to do this.

Of course Morgan could tell why the drake was causing this much trouble. It was a mixture between him not wanting to do something that he technically just hated to do, and also a bit of getting back at Morgan. If he had been any other creature, Morgan would have nipped that in the bud before it even began- allowing a creature to refuse to do things and take out anger on themself was not at all a good habit to get into. It was dangerous. However, Morgan had an undeniable soft spot for the drake, both for their failures and his having hatched for them, as well as for their gift of sentience to him. That in and of itself was also dangerous.
The human had previously tried not to get attached to anyone- the loss of their father was incredibly difficult on them. Even now, they would refuse being so attached to Waar; but the truth remained. Perhaps that was the entire point with Waar- truth always remained.

Waar continued to wriggle and generally make the entire situation as difficult as possible until Morgan had broken a sweat and was very much not thinking about the bees in the area anymore. That wasn't his goal really, but it was a good side effect, since Morgan's emotions generally annoyed him off and on. It was baffling that a creature with so much anxiety would find the power within themselves to knock him out, tie him up, and break his spirit to get him to bend to their will, let alone win. That was something he thought about again and again. It stood to reason that he could easily kill the human, in a moment where the human was least expecting it- like that morning he had eaten the food that had the knockout stuff in it. It was obvious to him now where the strange smell hadn't bothered him before he was intelligent.
However, he had come to appreciate the human's oddities at least a small amount.

Morgan made a noise that sounded suspiciously like a small snarl, and Waar decided at that noise that perhaps he was causing a little too much trouble for the human. They really didn't deserve it, anyway, and he was getting quite bored with the fact that the human didn't really have the strength to wrestle with him over this. He eventually rolls back onto his belly and then crouches in the grass, holding his wings up in a suspiciously easy to get to the shoulders fashion. The human stood back, breathing a little hard, and blew the hair up and out of their face with a short gust of breath. They hadn't expected to break a sweat this early; but at least Waar had to do a little bit of exercise during that process. They could at least be thankful of that. It was easy to focus on the negatives of situations as opposed to the positives, but they were convinced that this would get easier.

Waar allowed Morgan, despite his own frustration with this entire enterprise, to use the gloves to fix up his back. He had to admit to himself that it hurt at first, but always felt better for days after he allowed it, so he should allow it now. Even though the human did go out of their way to try to fix him and work with him, he couldn't get over the fact that this was their fault, and that the nature of sarane (which he still had and was still struggling with coming to terms with his newfound awareness of such- that was the difficulty of being sentient, he was sure. it was a curse of nature that caused him to be self aware enough to doubt). He was still learning to deal, and hadn't decided how best to remedy or get through with his situation. So for today, he would sit in the grass in the sun, and let Morgan get him ready for more 'physical therapy'.

The idea for Morgan here was to get Waar, if possible, to be at least as limber as he was before the process had unfortunately taken most of his musculature. They were quite lucky that they had the chance to even do this, but they still put it off some. Waar tended not to be as willing to do this sort of work, as opposed to their usual training out at the park. Morgan was sure that it was at least mostly because he was sore often. The human frowned as they finished up loosening up the muscles on the wing base and shoulder of the left side of the giant beast, and then they slowly worked downward to get the drake's arm fixed up, at least the part of the arm that still had muscles. The human was eternally grateful for the acid resistant gloves to this point, Waar was sweating acid droplets like bullets right now, as opposed to the amber-like dried droplets that were normally dropped.

Waar hated this part. This was certainly his least favorite part of all of the annoying things that he knew this process was going to take, and he knew that it was only part of the way done. However, he did have to admit that this did make the parts that would come after much less difficult. It was part of the reason why he was allowing it now, but knowing that this part had been coming had caused him to try to put it off. He'd managed to do that for nearly a year, and now he just had to deal with it. Maybe this would be the last few trips that they would do? Somehow, Waar doubted that. He allowed Morgan to finish up on his front leg and then allowed Morgan to switch over to the other side of him to work on his shoulder over there. He winced. It -hurt-. However, he knew it would be over soon enough.

Morgan would have been quicker, but they made sure to do all of the work they were doing with the muscles right. There was no point in doing this if it wasn't right. Of course they knew that Waar hated this- hopefully, and with any luck, in the far future when they worked on the other points of his physical form, they wouldn't have to do this as much. They weren't sure what to work on him with after this, since it was super important to them that they get this done, they had no idea what to think about what to do next other than they would need to do more to get him up to shape.
Waar allowed Morgan to finish up on that side too, and then Morgan worked on his neck as well. He was very patient, having resigned himself to the sunlight and to this treatment that he knew would happen more quickly if he stopped resisting. It would happen one way or the other.

The day was nice and sunny. It was easy for Waar, after the first few pinches rolled off, to pay more attention to the surroundings than to the slight pain of the annoying massages that he had to have before he was going to be able to complete his so-called physical therapy today. Morgan proceeded to finish up the work on his muscles as Waar sort of melted into a puddle on the grass (not literally of course) in the cozy sunlight. He could practically feel the buzzy bees flitting from flower to flower in the soft rolling breeze.
The human of course was doing the exact opposite of he was. Whereas he was 'become' the area about, Morgan tried their best to ignore the knowledge of the horrible bees around them. So far, they hadn't been attacked though. So far, so good! The human backed away, patting Waar on the shoulder before they stepped off. "Alright, y-you're ready."
