Now it was all up to repetition, as was everything else that they worked with. Morgan hated this step, but it was required. Morgan would give the command for Ryuusei to go up into the air, and then he would do it. At that, Morgan would give him the command to land, and each time he got better at landing, eventually touching down as lightly as a feather. It was surprising to see such a large creature able to do this, but tat-lungs were creatures of grace it would seem, even the big ones like Ryuusei. Then they would redo this. Again, and again, and again, for about two hours they ran through this. Each time the tat-lung would get a little better at flying, more dextrous and agile, and a little better at landing. After a while, Morgan started to run him through his other commands as well to make sure that he remembered all of them properly. Of course he did, he was quite intelligent! Finally, Morgan decided that they were good to go home for a while. Ryuusei flew the entire way.

After Morgan took Ryuusei to the mansion in the morning for a bit of a field trip, they went out to the Inn and then asked Seimei to come down to the park with them to learn a few more lessons. Or really, just the two. Seimei didn't seem to be in the mood for it, but he was a bit no-nonsense when it came to this sort of thing, so he picked himself up and followed Morgan to the park. Morgan had chosen the spot because it had a nice brook to it, near the hillock that they used for flight training. So Morgan knew that they could get the tat-lungs used to swimming in their new bodies again, and of course teach them the 'signal' to it, in one easy place away from the much farther away docks. "Alrighty Seimei, we need to get you used to swimming again." Morgan said.

Morgan had been expecting it, but it still didn't make it any less funny when it finally happened. Seimei turned towards Morgan incredulously, his face a bit slack jawed for just a second, and then he let off an annoyed expression. 'You. Want to teach ME, who was a fish about a month or two ago, to swim?' Morgan chuckled a bit, knowing that this was going to be the answer from the start. "That's the long and short of it." Morgan said, simply. Seimei rounded a bit, 'I think I know how to swim!' He conveyed. "Yup, you probably do, and you'll probably take right to the water lickety-split. But we need to have a signal noise for it, just in case, and we need to make sure that you've got good control of your arms and legs." Morgan said. "Come on, there's a brook right over there."[2]

The pair didn't really have a long amount of time to do this in, especially since most of the time would have to be taken up by the next thing they needed to work on today, but Morgan was sure that they wouldn't need the entire time-slot. Morgan liked to make sure that there would be enough time just in case, but Seimei was definitely smart, and definitely learned quickly. This would be over in a cinch. They just needed a command whistle for it. Eventually, Morgan decided upon a whistle that was the exact same as the one used for Domino's swimming lessons, if one could even call them that. Morgan and Seimei stood on the edge of the water. Morgan smiled at him, grinning wickedly. "Alright Seimei." They started, in triplicate. "When I give this whistle, it means to go swimming. Just like flight, but in the water." Morgan said. Seimei rolled his eyes.

None of Morgan's tat-lungs had ever any issues about learning any of the 'signals' for the things Morgan taught them. Perhaps that was just the thing about them being hyper-sentient, and all. They learned far quicker than any humans Morgan had ever seen. Morgan gave the whistled signal, and then Seimei pushed himself into the water without any sort of fear at all. He did seem to have a little trouble at first, learning the cadence of moving his limbs, but it only took about four minutes for him to swim nearly perfectly like a fish. Morgan was sure that he would do that; he had swam his whole life, and also tat-lungs naturally knew how to swim. Morgan was pretty pleased, but they wanted him to get more used to the command. "Alrighty Seimei, you know the drill. We have to do some repetition now." Morgan said.

Seimei looked incredibly annoyed, hauling himself up out of the water and on to dry land. 'Why? Why should I have to do this over and over again. I'll remember it, you know that.' He respected Morgan, but not enough not to talk back sometimes to save face. "You know we've got to. It's part of the teaching process." At that, Morgan gave the whistle again, and then the pearl tat-lung rolled his eyes again (something he picked up from Morgan as a youngster) and then pushed off into the water, swimming easily. Then he went to the land again of his own violition, and they continued again and again and again, each time Seimei following the correct command and not any of the fake ones that were tried. After a while, Morgan knew that he had learned it, and knew it was time to move on to the next agenda on their list. [5] - [End of Swim]

The next thing should be a little more difficult, but hey, Seimei was a dragon and Morgan was sure that he would learn it super speedily in comparison to other creatures, surely. "Alrighty Seimei, you're a quick learner. You got that lickety-split. We've got one more thing today, and then I reckon we'll go home." They could work on something else today, but Seimei had very little patience for anything. They had to do training in short stints, or else there was trouble. It was always that way, it would seem. 'Fine, fine. I'll get that one quickly too, and then we can go home.' Seimei looked a little defeated, but Morgan knew that it was mostly for show. "We're going to teach you how to be intimidating, like Ryuusei is." Morgan planned to teach all of their tat-lungs to look scary like that, eventually. It was one of the most important things. Morgan didn't plan on really teaching all of the tat-lungs how to battle, not at first. However, after working with their more basic and then intellectual pursuits, Morgan knew that it was important for them to be able to protect their-selves. Especially if Morgan ever had to go on the run. It was a very large responsibility that Morgan had taken on. Their face suddenly looked very somber. Seimei had been about to snark at Morgan, but he turned his face away. "Alright, so I've brought a few small live grubbles for you to practice on, and whenever it starts working on me, we'll know you are doing it right, okay?" Morgan said, knowing that Ryuusei frightened them quite a bit. "No signal for this one, though." Morgan said. Seimei nodded and then waited for instruction. "It's not really about being scary, it's about being confident." Morgan offered.

Seimei tilted his head at Morgan, conveying; 'Of course, that totally makes sense! What are you, a self-help speechwriter?' Morgan couldn't help but chuckle at this complex idea. 'I'm telling you, you're really missing your calling.' He added, conveying sarcasm excellently. Morgan frowned, and shook their head. "I'm being serious, Seimei. Hold your head up high, carry your body strong and proud. You are a dragon, after all." At this, Morgan took their backpack off and pulled out a small cage of the tiny live grubbles. They were lazy and fat. Morgan put them on the ground. They would be scared, but they wouldn't be harmed. Seimei looked at them arrogantly, with a bit of disgust. Apparently, they never tasted very good. Seimei didn't look very enthusiastic, but he finally began taking it a little more seriously. He held his head up a little higher, feeling silly, and then strutted around looking pretty funky. [8]

Morgan had to forcibly not make theirself laugh. It was really just a terrible thing altogether, watching Seimei look like that, but heck, Morgan was sure that this could be made much better with more work. "Alrighty, good start, great start Seimei. I need you to stop thinking 'prancing' and start thinking 'owning'. You are the ruler of your immediate area. Think about it like that. You rule your immediate area, and you need to project that confidence, that arrogance, onto you like an armor." Of course, that was probably the weirdest thing that Morgan had ever said, but it seemed to help a little bit, at least. Seimei closed his eyes, as if trying to think about how to do this. It was so amazing to Morgan that Ryuusei could just do that naturally. However, Seimei seemed to gather his strength, and Morgan could already see his posture improving, at least.

Morgan was already impressed, once Seimei opened his eyes and walked back and forth. His movements were much more sinuous now. It wasn't the proud prance that Ryuusei had, but it was more... Cunning almost, looking. Sly like a weasel or a snake. But Morgan was looking for a badger, with him, more badger. "You're getting it, you're getting it! Keep it up. I need, more ferocity. You're a dragon, Seimei. You're powerful, you control your own space. You own it." Seimei was obviously still feeling quite a bit anxious about this, or silly at least, but he was beginning to slowly do better. Over the next fifteen minutes, the two continued to work between them, with Morgan giving pointers, and Seimei alternatively improving and snarking at Morgan. Eventually, Morgan noticed a slight change with the live grubbles; a little shiver going through them. But it wasn't effecting Morgan yet, so they weren't quite there.

Morgan did need to let him know that he was doing well, however. "Seimei, looking real good there. Those live grubbles are shaking in their boots." Morgan chuckled at that, laughing at their own joke. Seimei was not impressed. He decided to go the 'overly literal' route for a joke. 'Grubbles don't wear boots. Are you feeling okay?' However, Morgan could tell that he was feeling better; he could see some sort of literal example of what he was working on was actually working! That was always a really good sign. Morgan was pleased that he was pleased with himself, even for just a moment. "Alrighty, let's get to working again. You've got to make it work on me, too." Morgan knew that it was going to take a while for him to get there, but they were going to keep on working with it. "Try it again!"[11]

Morgan had put quite a bit of time aside for them to work on this, but they hadn't really expected him to actually take a good chunk of it just getting the basics town. It took a while for Seimei to really get it down pat, even the first step. For a little bit, it was off and on whether or not the live grubble would be frightened by his movements. The first few times, he couldn't get it to work right again no matter what he did, but after a few tries he finally got it to work. It was off and on for a little while after that. Soon enough, Seimei was able to finally get it working with some amount of frequency on the live grubble. Morgan didn't really know what to start on, advice-wise. There were so many small things that could be fixed. Morgan really had to think about it.

After gathering their thoughts, Morgan allowed Seimei to continue working on the 'intimidating' movements himself. Seimei was very much a perfectionist, and he worked on it because of that until finally, the live grubbles were terrified the entire time. However, it still wasn't working all that much on Morgan. Sure, he was looking a lot more confident, and that was a plus. "Great job Seimei, you're doing really well. I wouldn't expect any less out of you." Morgan praised in triplicate. "I need you to come over here and practice on me now, though." Morgan added, knowing that he was going to be quite concerned about it. Seimei was indeed concerned about it, but he came over anyway, more confidently. Morgan sized him up, trying to figure out what things they could work on. "I need you to look more scary. You need to be able to make me fearful, and you look confident right now to me, but not scary enough for me." How complicated!

After a moment or two of consideration, Seimei conveyed- 'And just HOW do I move to be 'scary' to you?' Morgan had to think about that one. "Most creatures are afraid of aggressive movements. Now that you are confident, show aggression! Really visualize that 'scariness' and project it around you." That was once again probably one of the dumbest things that could ever have been heard to come out of Morgan's mouth. However, Seimei furrowed his brow, and then decided on what he was going to do. He closed his great eyes, and then focused for a moment, before opening them again. He held himself tall and strong, confident, and then affixed Morgan with a particularly withering glare. His whiskers flowed with the strength in it; and it gave Morgan a shiver down their spine. "That's it, Seimei. You've got it!" Morgan said, grinning. This was very good! [14]
