Although having an amount of credits tended to burn a hole in the satyr's pocket, it was still another matter entirely to actually talk herself into parting with the coins. There was still such a huge part of her that felt the need to cling onto every cent like it was precious, obsessively counting, re-counting, stacking her 'riches' - Lethalia hadn't done that particular ritual in years. Life was a lot different when she wasn't counting out coin to pay for her room (in actuality, half of a wagon) at the Caravan.
Back then, it'd felt like the money flowed through her fingers like water; she could never keep it for long before necessity trickled it away. To have an amount to spend on oddities like she was about to, let alone not for an immediate need, was a strange feeling to get over. Like she was going to come up short for the cash for her room (again) because of carelessness, even though it hadn't been a worry for some time, some habits were more difficult to break than others.
Maybe she just needed to loosen up with her credits, especially considering the last large purchase she made was likely an injection for her sarane - and all of those were still done a few years ago. Lethalia made herself ride Mavelle over to the least expensive of her planned shopping first, hoping to lessen the blow some. The mare was tied outside with a pat on the shoulder, where Lethalia was confident she would await her return. How happy Mav was going to be with having to deal with other creatures on the way home, she wasn't sure. Heading into the shop anyway, the satyr figured they'd see how Mav dealt with ponying other creatures when it came to that. Was going to be interesting.
"Hullo," she greeted with a reflexive smile once the shopkeep was within sight. "There's... way more here than I was expecting. SO I uh, was gonna poke around a little. If that's okay." A look around while beaming, even if a particular old fox wasn't entirely receptive to it. This place was neat; how often did she get an up close look at the species she didn't work with herself?
