“...Oh, no.” Fiera said as Echo kept pointing at the tree. “Come on, I can’t get those, it’s up in the branches!” She said, throwing up her hands. Echo merely looked at her sadly while Yoru investigated the tree as well. He seemed to realize something and pointed up in the tree as well, making similar exclamations. Soon both of them were working together to get Fiera’s attention as much as possible, to convince her to go get the lights. “Come on, I’m… I’m NOT old, but I don’t wanna! I can’t climb trees!” She said, but the chorus of whines simply grew. Fiera groaned loudly and made her way over to the tree. It looked like she was going to have to figure out how to get up this thing, if just to get them to stop whining. Unfortunately because the trees were all identical and perfect… there wasn’t much in the way of handholds. She dug her clawlike nails into the bark, and found it quite slippery and unforgiving. “Great…” She grumbled to herself as she tried to find purchase with her feet as well. She’d have to get this over with quickly to avoid falling off of it.

With a mighty heave, Fiera attempted to surge up the trunk. The texture was foreign and plasticine, making it far more difficult than she was hoping. She scrambled as quickly as possible, pushing with her feet and pulling with her hands. The harachiu beneath her cheered as loudly as they could. “Yeah, yeah.” She groaned. “God I wish you knew how to fly. Then I could just send you guys up here and I wouldn’t have to break my dang neck trying to… get some dumb lights…” She said as she finally got her hands around a lower branch. She sighed with relief, but her efforts weren’t over yet. She had only grabbed the branch, she still had to get the rest of her body up there. She kept pushing up with her legs and slowly but surely made her way up. Elbows were thrown over the branch, and then shoulders. Finally she was able to get her belly onto the mess of branches and swung her legs up as well. The harachiu cheered loudly and called up to her inarticulately, and Fiera gave a lazy wave. “Yeah, yeah. I’m great, I know. Absolutely fantastic. You guys had BETTER love whatever’s up this tree though, I swear.”

Here, a Nahele plays with a jackalope friend, 'butting' at it with it's head. After a moment, it seems to hear a noise, and looks up straight at you with golden eyes. It had not noticed the individual getting up into the tree, but didn't particularly feel like it may be harmed by the trio either. Instead, it waits, what would the individual do? It could most likely bolt if the need arose, but for now it seemed perfectly at ease. The jackalope runs and hides behind it's leg, watching.

Then, Fiera heard footsteps. Footsteps? That was odd- the harachiu were too tiny for her to hear, usually. She peered back down out of the tree, and saw a bizarre creature approaching her. Well this sucked- she didn't think she could jump down without spooking it off. It was beautiful though- resembling a deer almost, but with long fluffy ears and paws instead of back feet. Its tail was long and glowing with yellow light, as bright motes of light floated around it. A jackalope trotted around its heels, making it a veritable avatar of nature. Fiera whistled long and low, impressed with the sight. Quietly and slowly, she shuffled in her bag. Maybe... she could convince it that she was nice from a distance? She got out a bag of apple slices. She uh... was saving these for her lunch, to be honest. But if she could seduce this creature instead? She'd take it. She opened up the bag, and held out an apple slice to it. "Hey, buddy..." She said quietly, hoping it wouldn't bolt.

The creature was patient, as patient as any parent could be with children. It was curious for the most part, wondering what the youngsters were that were up in the tree, let alone the larger being there as well. The creature flicks the ears that crown it's skull forward at the whistle, not moving much, and then tilted it's head at the apple slices. It could smell them. It sniffed, nose shivering, and then nudged forward opening it's mouth to take the apple slice...
If allowed, it would drop the apple slice to the jackalope at it's feet, and then raise up again.

Fiera released the apple slice from her hand as the creature came close, smiling slightly as it took it in its teeth. It was so pretty, and she could feel its breath on her hand... only for it to drop the apple slice unceremoniously. Fiera thought that perhaps it was just clumsy, but then realized that the jackalope had started eating the slice instead. It looked like the creature was just sharing with its friend, if that's what it considered the jackalope to be. How bizarre. Still, Fiera wasn't about to be discouraged, and got out another apple slice. "You want this one?" She said, reaching out again. With her other hand (keeping her legs firmly lodged in the branches), she reached out to possibly, maybe pet it on the head, moving slow enough that it could sniff her or move away first if it wanted to. It looked so soft and silky, after all...

The individual did seem very gentle (at least with animals) and the Nahele sniffled at the next apple, but watched the individual with golden eyes beyond that. The Nahele was much more focused on the humanoid (perhaps out of habit) than it was on the apple slices themselves. With caution, the Nahele takes that apple slice and eats it. One for the friend, and one for itself. After chewing the apple slice, it stuffed it's nose forward, looking for more, and sniffing the hand carefully. After a moment's hesitation and jerk back, it pushed it's nose into the person's hand.
What would they think about that?

Fiera sighed with relief as the creature accepted the next apple slice, leaving the other to its jackalope companion. It was so gentle, and so so pretty. She reached out carefully, trying to see if it would let her touch it. This was a gentle month for the mansion, perhaps this creature would be the same? Indeed, the creature shoved its nose into her hand after a moment's hesitation, and Fiera couldn't help the smile that broke across her face. "Hey there, pretty thing... how are you?" She said gently, and scritched her fingers up its nose, tracing lines over its head and around its ear. The silky grey fur was just as soft as she was expecting. Her harachiu on the ground were awestruck as the creature came closer to Fiera. Both of them crept out from behind the tree, looking up at the nahele with wide eyes filled with childlike curiosity.

The voice was soft, oh so soft. The creature was curious now, and half-cuddled half-snuffled into the person's hand as the humanoid also seemed to be exploring. The little jackalope at it's feet even seemed to be less nervous now, scooting half-forward from around the foot. Everything in half measures, it would seem. After a bit of exploration, the creature seems to make it's decision. The Nahele's entire body loosened up, and it crept forward. At this cue, the jackalope friend also seems to let go of all of the previous hesitation to accept this new friend.
The Nahele steps back, and then offers for the humanoid to play.
[The Nahele wants to come with you!]

Fiera was relieved at the creature's positive actions. It looked like it wanted to come with her! Fiera loved the the pocket pets he had already found, but being able to take this creature with her? Now that would be impressive. "I'd love to have you, dear. Just give me one minute to wrap up here." She said, giving the nahele one last pat on the head. Then, she dug through the branches to find the glowing things the harachiu had been pointing at all this time. It was just another toy and some more paper lanterns. She sighed and grabbed them- it was better than nothing, she supposed! She popped them closed, and put them all away in her bag. This tree diversion was fun, but it was time to go. She hopped down from the tree, a little less gracefully than she would have liked, and reached out to pet the nahele again.

She showed the lanterns she had found to the harachiu, but they seemed far less interested in it than in the new friend that she had found. Fiera supposed that was fair- a forest spirit was much, much fancier than any dumb lantern. Fiera didn't think she could look after three creatures without one getting lost, though. Still, it was about lunch time anyway- why not head back to the kennels and get lunch there? Fiera called to the harachiu and they scuttled after her, but not without shooting a longing look over their shoulders at the new creature. Fiera looked expectantly at it as well, and to her delight it began to follow after her. The four of them took off again, across the hills back to the entrance. Their trip wasn't the longest, but it was certainly satisfactory to Fiera. A remnant crystal, a new friend, some bonding with the harachiu- what else could she have asked for?

Fiera walked to the Eccentric’s mansion, another pet leashed to her hand. This was another creature she was training for Aster, though thankfully this time it wasn’t a squirrely harachiu. Instead, Andante was a stately pure equillion, with a smokelike mane and a patchy body. He had an… interesting smell to him that the humanish was assured was just due to his ‘euphoric vapors’. Somehow, Fiera didn’t find that as comforting as she was sure they would have liked. He didn’t have any training yet, which made leading him along the path a little hard, but she was hoping that this could be a nice bonding session for the pair of them. It was a lot easier to get to know a pet first before you tried to train it after all, and pure equillion were known for being a little… difficult. She was hoping Andante wouldn’t be too hard, though.

He was a fully grown adult after all, but was hopefully still young enough to be pliable to Fiera’s training. She had a good feeling about this. As she swung open the door to the mansion, she knew that this would be pretty nice. It was designed with a sort of child’s view in mind, filled with soft grass and colorful eggs and oh god what happened. Fiera groaned loudly as she realized that the month had swapped over, and as a result The Eccentric’s Mansion’s appearance had changed again, to something… bizarre. Fiera admitted that she should have checked her schedule a bit more thoroughly, but did it really have to change this much right now? She hardly recognized the place, as bizarre as it was. Andante hardly seemed bothered though, and Fiera wondered if it was because he was a rather strange creature himself, what with the bizarre vapors and all.

The grass was pretty much any color but green right now, and she could swear she saw it pulsing in various psychedelic colors. Psychedelic really was the word to describe the mansion’s grounds’ appearance right now. The trees buckled and warped into shapes that defied the laws of physics, and she could swear that she saw a distant pond rising into the air, like a reverse sink faucet on a massive scale. The mansion itself had been pulled and twisted like taffy, with the roof tiles looking like they were melting off of the eaves. The top of the mansion itself was no longer visible, twisting up and up until it pierced the clouds. The clouds themselves were rather low this month, and occasionally lit up with silent lightning of all different colors, illuminating… shapes that Fiera would rather not think about, hidden just out of sight in the fog of the clouds.
