These little half-breeds apparently make a the sound of a bell when their ears bobbers move.. similar to their Jazz mother's tail.. Only.. in their ears.. the exception of course, is #29 - which sounds like a broken bell.. O. o But! These little guys (aside from their ears), can fly (or rather.. glide), and are the absolute of cute and fuzzy, don't you think? Don't let their friendly and cute natures fool you however, they LOVE to steal things - and in general (like their Lerrel mother) cause all sorts of mischief.. but they mean well - and would never hurt a fly. XD Such confusing little guys! Just look at the toooes! Um.. they're absolutely teeerrible as battle companions.. but.. uh.. XD You CAN train them to fight.. Good LUCK though.
Stamina: 2 Strength: 1 Resistance: 0 Dexterity: 2 Mentality: 0 Special Abilities: Psychic Resistance Moves: Horn-Strike, Sweet Song Tricks: Come (clapping) (1), Tolerance (2), Dance (2), Sit (1)
These creatures are generally of friendly nature, and quite curious and playful to boot! They enjoy singing (just like their cousins), and are also resistant to psychic influence.. The only thing that makes these little guys any "less love-able" is that they like to "practice" with their horn.. that is, they may find it fun to smush that ladybug with it's horn, or run into the leg of your couch.. after all, it's fun, right? It may take a small amount of training to get them out of that habit, just as it would teaching a cat not to scratch the furniture - but it's possible. Oh yeah, they also love to snuggle.
These creatures may look awkward, but they're quite the opposite. They can either hobble along the ground on their back feet - or crawl along the ground (with amazing speed) like a bat, using their wing-claws as front paws. Creatures imbued with the psychic and light powers - they can, if properly inspired - create a small brilliant flare of light! They're also amazingly graceful fliers, and.. ooh, look at those two looong tail-feathers, and such soft furry tail!
Stamina: 2 Strength: 0 Resistance: 1 Dexterity: 2 Mentality: 0 Special Abilities: Empathetic Link Moves: None
These creatures, which the lead scientist has decided to call "Wubbles" (Wubbles wuv you!) are disgustingly cute, aren't they? No, really - if you owned one, how could you DARE send one out in combat? I mean.. you could, but why would you? They're super fluffy, with that downy baby-chick fur mixed with cotton fluff, oh so cozy.. they love to curl up in your lap to nap, and they even quickly gain an empathetic link with their owners! *wobble wobble, boing!*
Name: Glory Species: Vulticus Gender: Female Age: 9 [essentially a human's mid to late 20s or early 30s in terms of mentality] Native Language: Telepathy
Glory is a Vulpine Vulticus, technically, an as such is quite foxlike in her appearance and mannerisms. She is, however, the size of a Cave, and has wings, which put an interesting spin on the whole "Vulpine" thing. Her fur is basically brown, a light almost caramel color, and the underside of her face and wings, as well as smudges above her eyes, the tip of her tail, and the inside of her ears, are a much lighter cream. Her legs are socked in a faded raspberry purple, and the same color is found lining the tips of her ears. Ocelot markings are found all over her body, these in a light, almost cotton candy pink, which also tips her wings. Her eyes are light and bright, a vivid shade of hummingbird blue.
As a Vulticus, she's always lived with no clothes, although now that she's managed to purchase her freedom [or have it purchased for her], this may change.
Mental and/or Social Description: Glory's a bit difficult to put your finger on, honestly. Her biggest and most dominant personality trait is her tendency to put on personas, false identities intended to endear themselves to others for her personal gain. She usually can seal off all of her emotions in order to maintain these personas, but sometimes that can fail... She's lived for long enough under certain of these personas that some of their behaviors have also started to seep into her natural personality, which is a thing that she both despises and is fascinated by. Prior to her lengthy, involved relationship with Baxter, she had very little empathy for any other creature, but the birth of her many offspring and the extended use of an empathetic persona caused her to feign empathy so often that it's an automatic reaction now. She has, in effect, learned a degree of empathetic behaviors.
That's not to say she (generally) actually feels empathy, though, or feels it for the majority of beings. She can read posture and expression almost alarmingly accurately (being telepathic helps here) and automatically react accordingly, especially in situations in which appearing normal is of value to her, so it generally appears that she is more empathetic than she actually is-- which is to say, almost at all. It's the difference between following the steps of a math problem for the first time by reading them in a book and understanding the logic behind the steps; Glory is stuck in the following the steps stage.
She gets bored remarkably easy, and has a very low tolerance for boredom. When she feels a persona has been dragged out too far, or otherwise is no longer interesting for her, she'll cut it off and try to drum up a new one, or practice actually being herself for a while. Lately she's been more in a mood to be herself, but without the stimulation of pretending to be someone else, she needs to seek out thrills elsewhere, hence the newfound autonomy. The ability and responsibility of taking care of herself without help keeps her well enough on her toes to keep her from being bored as often, for now.
Generally, Glory is only out for herself. Her concerns are by and large self-centered, although her desire to not be bored will nearly always trump her desire for personal safety in terms of priority. If she's concerned for someone else, it's likely to be as a function of what that person can do for her.
Now... These are all of her most inner workings. On the outside, she's normally perfectly pleasant, if sometimes a bit off. You'll find her working (sometimes not as hard as she should be) doing things that normal people do, such as training pets or shopping, and she generally acts polite. You'd say she was extroverted, probably, given the ease and confidence with which she handles herself around others, or perhaps you'd say she was introverted because you could see how controlled she always is with her actions and words. You could say she's kind because she's helped you with a project (and then subsequently asked you for a "small, minor" favor in return because she knew you would agree), or you could say she's manipulative (which would be accurate). You could say she's materialistic, that she likes gaining things just to have them, which is true. You could say she has little to no regard for rules and laws, which is true; her adherence to them is only a function of her desire to keep the things she owns, such as money and reputation-- if she thinks she can get around a rule or law, or outright break it, with no repercussions, she probably will. You could say she's a sociopath... which is also true. Luckily, she's not a violent one. Her temper does not usually lead to aggression in most circumstances, because active aggression is not nearly as interesting and engaging as passive aggression.
Goals: - Get ALL THE THINGS! This in terms of items, as she has a limit on the number of pets she can own and besides that, pets are not nearly as fun to collect considering that they also have to be taken care of which is boring boring BORING - Live an exhilarating life. Go on adventures, do dangerous things, survive them, learn from them, profit from them. - Become skilled in as many things as she can become skilled in. Expand her knowledge base.
Notes: Formerly's Kristof's. Peppy, optimistic, possibly lesbian or bisexual. Has a mother's instinct to care for anything that moves. Not incredibly smart as far as complex mental processes go, but is vaguely better-than-normal at spur-of-the-moment hands-on problem solving.
Riku: Oh, I see what you mean now, Nerius. Dang...that’s a good point. How do we get around it? Naturally we will look at the opponent’s stats - which can’t be done IC. Hm.

Èdan: Not necessarily, there's stuff that can affect a foe's aim in the same turn
Jul 11, 2020 8:51:23 GMT -6
Nerius: The lack of suspense. I slogged through them all for the points, but it got super tedious to write. (This isn't specific to mosca, just a general 'why I'm eh on this tourny'.)
Jul 11, 2020 6:40:13 GMT -6
Nerius: And it's not about "winning", rather I was referring to the disaster that was my attempt at the petite tournament. And how one glance at the stats made me go 'yep, gonna loose this one', and be proven right in every single round. It's not the loss, but..
Jul 11, 2020 6:39:31 GMT -6
Nerius: Yes, the dreaded auto-hit or auto-miss can strike at any time, but what I mean is the only way a mosca is loosing is if there's a un/lucky dice roll.
Jul 11, 2020 6:36:02 GMT -6
Èdan: Don't forget there's moves and abilities that halve dex or affect the opponent's aim. Not to mention, never underestimate the cruelty of a natural 1
Jul 11, 2020 6:16:47 GMT -6
Riku: High dex can miss. I had an unbroken brown who won like three fights by sheer luck of the enemy missing over and over. Lol Besides, not to be cliche, but...it’s not all about winning. You can come in second place and still get 23 pit points.
Jul 11, 2020 0:48:50 GMT -6
Jack: Don't forget to PM me your intent if you're entering! I need to know before training!
Jul 10, 2020 17:29:29 GMT -6
Fanged: I'll be going with a huntress mosca build I have in mind.
Jul 10, 2020 17:12:28 GMT -6
Xentus: I'm the one who's entering fully intending to utilize the 9 dex flighty mosca. Curious to find what might beat it
Jul 10, 2020 17:07:55 GMT -6
Flare: In opinion, I have a kakum baakir set aside for Flare's usage, but I've never worked with it. It'll be a new species to work with. Just because soemone enters a 9 dex creature doesn't 100% mean they'll win.
Jul 10, 2020 17:04:42 GMT -6
Nerius: Would use one myself, but I don't want to waste a re-growth on something I'll never do anything with outside this tournament, especially since there's no guarantee there will be enough people for it to run.
Jul 10, 2020 15:53:52 GMT -6
Nerius: I was looking at the stats of the creatures that could be entered, when it was first announced. Someone enters a flighty mosca? They're going to win. There's nothing that can move faster, and nothing that can survive a hit from wing buff while in flight
Jul 10, 2020 15:52:37 GMT -6
Nerius: I've considered it, as I do want the pit points, but I dunno. My last attempt at tournament rush training uh, did not go well *coughwhiptailcough*. Plus I suspect someone's going to enter a mosca and basically auto-win.
Jul 10, 2020 15:49:29 GMT -6
Riku: Hopefully more people do. Counting myself, I think there’s only 4 right now. 🤔
Jul 9, 2020 17:21:27 GMT -6
Flare: I'm gonna enter
