Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is the July 22nd. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

{It BIT me.} The sheer and utter feeling of what Caiman tried to convey; she thought it was a mix of shock and revulsion; as he told her again what had happened. Granted, she'd not expected the patterned gug (who was not a giant) to get ahead. Granted, it felt like every gug in the tournaments went far because of how much they could take against themselves. Freaking tanks of muscle and horns and what not. She hoped that the drake's attempt to be ferociously angry didn't pan out badly against their next opponent, of which she'd just been notified. A single scale, perhaps a chunk of shed skin (do sarane have scales or shed their skins?) she wondered. The faint smell of char came to her nose. A sharp smell. She knew the smell of fire. "Smell this." she offered the paper with the scale chunk over the, no through the fence. The drake paused in his internal venting of his blacklist adding another, glancing at the paper. He couldn't read. But he did recognize the smell. Recoiling with a snarling hiss. "Firebutt.} they seemed to realize at the same time. Time for a rematch. And the gates opened. 1.5 4.20 Ready

[Why do I always lose?] Ghidorah grumbled, pacing with Ashe as he led the Drake to the gates. He often tried to accompany his pets to the Pit itself, to keep them under control without force and to give a pep talk, if need be. In this case, Ashe figured a pep talk was much needed. His poor Sparky was struggling with confidence issues ever since Kro's battle, and it hadn't helped that he'd lost yet again to a Gug.
[Gugs are tough] Ashe told him. [They even give Alaska a run for her money.]
[ I could take Alaska. Who's that?]
[Possibly. Your electrical attack could hurt her, I figure. But Gugs aren't as weakened by lightning. We'll have to come up with something else.]
They reached the Pit doors and Ashe hoped their talk had been enough. [It can't be another Gug in there. I think you've got this. Game face on.] He made a angry fighting face at Ghidorah, and the Sarane snorted in his face, unimpressed. With that last parting look, Ghidorah entered the Pit, and Ashe rushed up to the stands. Between the running and the stairs he had to climb, Inyala was having a rough time hanging on. She dug her claws into his shirt, a black muscle top, and clung for dear life. It would be better if she was on the ground dodging the huge and clawed feet of monsters passing by!
Ashe reached the box as Ghidorah burst out with a roar, wings flapping open. He gave another call, excitement building through his draconian body as he saw his opponent; not a Gug, but a Sarane! He'd beaten these before!

Ok, that wasn’t what she expected. Fully prepared to launch himself in against the foe in question, when the gate opened, this wasn’t Firebutt. This black had gold marks. Fins. Had they fought this drake before? To her, a slight but distinct smell of burned hair; similar to what Banana smelled like, but regularly. Not having discovered anything about his own power, thank gods for that. Ridelys didn’t know this drake off hand but going by the larger crown of antlered horns, they were dealing with another drake who had worked and probably won their way into champion status. Caiman didn’t care. He expected Firebutt, and they had both gotten it wrong. This was not Firebutt, and the drake appeared more nimble and quick. Sparkling with a jewel of their own. Go figure. Flaring his wings, he outright snarled. The darkened portion of skin and scales across his face adding to his scare factor. a spitting snarl in response. Ashe and Inyala noticed the opponent and his owner were fixated on Ghidorah, almost perplexed rather than aggressive or plotting. Ashe frowned, wondering if they were secretly talking and planning something, or if they were confused about their opponent. Ashe had the right Pit time right? The officials hadn't kicked him out yet so he figured he was right. Ah, well, he had more important things to focus on. He drew his gaze from the familiar brown Drake over to his precious Sarane. Ghidorah was chomping at the bit, ready to lash out. It was only experience that kept him in check, waiting for the command.
Dröhnen! Ashe commanded through the link. This was old hat for Ghidorah, who reared up onto his hind legs, his wings flaring out and stretching wide. Inyala saw the movement and even though she wasn't privy to the silent key word Ashe used, she knew what was coming. A loud crack from those powerful wings would be enough to startle the fleas right off a Houlouh! She covered her ears and braced herself.
The only way Ashe saw them losing was if, somehow, Caiman had become faster than Ghidorah in their time since the last Sarane-based tournament. Which Ashe didn't see happening. He hoped to end this quickly, before Ghidorah faltered and lost confidence.

Just as planned, the sarane snapped his wings quickly forward, the air and force of his powerful muscles causing a loud, booming crack. The noise was enough to startle the Brown. and Ghidorah was able to slip into attack mode once again. He landed on his front legs, ready to take to the skies, just waiting for the command. But Ashe had other plans. He was concerned that somehow Caiman would get the upper hand. Not because he was renowned in skill, though he was a scrappy fighter that never gave up, but because Ghidorah had been having bad luck lately with finishing opponents. They'd been finding ways to beat him. So Ashe wanted to end this as fast as possible.
[We are going to change it up a bit, Sparky. Stay on the ground and do it.]
Ghidorah settled back on his hind legs, crouching. No flying? But he was so much faster in the air. He hadn't done this from the ground in so long. As he thought about the battle, which felt more personal this close, his fangs bared themselves and saliva dripped. It almost looked like sparks zapped from tooth to tooth.
[Do it!] Ashe said, using the command for the finishing move. Ghidorah snapped into action.
Inyala pried her hands off her ears, sure it would be safe now. She hated that sound, and the extra loud roars meant to scare people. But this coming light show would be fun!

Caiman didn’t give up all right. The more pissed he got, the more likely a scrap would turn ugly. Even if he wasn’t faster then another drake, he believed his claws could reach faster. Then the snap of sound. It was just enough of a pause of movement that the not firebutt got out of the way. Was it his eyes or was this drake acting slightly erratically? They weren’t taking to the skies, which is typical when being faster? How unusual. Being rusty herself at the scrapping of sarane, (she liked that term for some reason), but Ridelys had a general idea of how most (not all) sarane seemed to function in the ring. First claw forward almost always won. Or first shot forward. Usually just a bit of gym work, slap on a jewel of accelerated movement, And that thought process had the drake making strange movements. Caiman’s only warning was the smell of burnt hair. A sharp smell. Oh crap. But he wasn’t going down that easily! He lunged. -rend- 9.20 4.5
