They'd never been here before, but they'd heard about it. It was everything they could have dreamed of hearing about, especially after investigating some rumors about old pets. Magic was something here, and they wanted to harness that. They weren't sure how yet, of course, but so many of the creatures here lived and breathed magic like it was nothing. One of the ones they'd heard of was creatures made of the elements themselves, who could walk and fight. Particularly, they'd heard rumors of the old golems, before the seedlings one could acquire now- and, in exactly one book, they found pictures of a purple electrical golem. It was a lightning strike turned into a living being. They had to have it.
So, Aura let themself into the lodge, and immediately noticed the galabex. They had one of those, they were pretty sure...? They couldn't remember. They paid it no mind, though, holding only a copy of the book page they'd found detailing about the golem. "Hello?" They called out.
Ah. This shopkeeper was not nearly so friendly as the others.
Good; this was going to be a business transaction more like what they were used to. Suddenly more comfortable, they approached with the paper, resting it on the counter. "I was told you were the people to talk to about trying to acquire difficult to find creatures. I am interested in trying to find this- a plasma golem." They turned the paper to show it to her, glancing over at Shishi. They gave a bow of their head out of respect, before returning attention to Odoshi. Creatures here were often strangely intelligent; perhaps that was what the growl had been for- a lack of acknowledgement. "Will you be able to find it?" Straightforward, to the point. They had the money to cover it, and Aura knew that this place was the closest that they would be able to access to any kind of expert in hunting down rare creatures.
Odoshi raised an eyebrow at that. Of course they could find it, that's what they specialized in wasn't it? "Of course we can, you doubt my hunters?" she challenged before glancing down at the pictures and putting them into a folder for one of her hunters, "400 credits, don't even think of trying to get it lower than that..."
Aura shook their head immediately in response to the question. After all, they had no experience with her hunters; for all they knew, it would be a golem getting dropped off at their kennel later that same day. "I wouldn't dare." They responded to the price, pulling out their bundle of credits and sliding over the exact amount. "Bartering is an insult to a great merchant or service." It was their true belief; these people set their prices for a reason. To try to talk them lower was to say that whatever they were offering was worth less. They did not understand why it seemed to be such common practice here. Were the owners of the shops not insulted? At least Odoshi seemed to be reasonable in this regard. The entire transaction had been straightforward from the moment they walked in the door; there was no social cues to navigate that they didn't understand or hadn't picked up yet.
Shishi growled for a moment but Odoshi glanced at him and he was then silent. She nodded and took the credits, counting them quickly before leaning on the counter again, "You'll have it by next week, then!"
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*
May 31, 2020 18:14:49 GMT -6
Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
