The thing they'd need to get their shop running on its own was here, and best of all, they had found enough credits to acquire it. They didn't feel bad; robots were programmed, and provided they went to the shop a few hours every day, they could give the PAD enough time to charge. It would allow them to keep doing the things they enjoyed, like gardening, and still have the kind of place they could put in as much time as they wanted on any given day. If the garden did not need tending, they could be in the shop for the entire day. Likely as not, however, they always had more things to do...and so Aura was pleased that they no longer had to worry about sacrificing their hobbies for what they wanted to be their career. Stepping into the shop, they looked around and called out,"Excuse me; I am looking to acquire one of your assistant droids?"
The shopkeepers were going to learn, very quickly, that the ssashirk jumped right to business.
The shopkeeping TROD heard the greeting and then looked up, watching the customer with a robotic gaze. "Yes. We have two different types; the Combat Assistant Droid and the Personal Assistant Droid. Come this way." The TROD walked over to where the floor models were sitting. "Which do you require?" The robot states to the individual. "They also come in several metal-toned colors, or customized galvanized paint..."
They looked over the robots, pleased to see that this was exactly what they'd been admiring for so long. "I would like to get the personal assistant droid, in its viridian style." They answered. The ssashirk had no desire to get a custom paintjob when there was one that came stock which would work just fine. After all, they did have a TROD somewhere- and intended to use it for staffing the shop if, for some reason, the PAD couldn't handle the customer demand on its own. It just wasn't the right colors for the shop, or they'd have used it in the first place. "I am opening a shop. Can I teach it how to brew custom teas and bake?" If not, obviously, they could just have it serving customers and delivering orders to the unseen trod...but they'd prefer to have the same robot, visibly working, and perhaps if it had a personality programmed into it, people would come to see the robot as a person.
The TROD waited for more input, and then turned back toward the customer when the input was given. "Yes, one personal assistant droid in Viridian metal. The PAD comes with many programs for different personal assistance needs. There is a program for cooking and cleaning labor; they are intelligent enough to improvise." The TROD said. "Your total would be 200 credits. Is there anything else I can get you?"
"No, that will be all, thank you." That was all that mattered; the robot would be able to do what they needed. They reached into their bag and pulled out the credits they'd carefully set aside for this purpose, recounting just to make sure they didn't mess up the coins the first time. Once that was done, they passed over the amount needed for the assistant droid. With this they could get their shop set up as soon as they left, and the prospect of that was exciting. Their new home had become more than they ever could have dreamed. They tried to keep their emotions from bleeding into their body language, but the sparkle in their eyes was enough to betray those feelings. They couldn't wait to have all the work they'd put in start to pay off. They'd give their pets a life better than they ever could have dreamed before the arrival of the ssashirk.
Robots tended to be quite unfeeling for the most part, and this one was no different. The Trod took the credits and then went to the back for a moment, returning with a Viridian PAD following close behind. "Here is your model, you may change the program as it pleases you." At that, the Trod placed the credits in a safe place.
