Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is the August 5th. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

If it was so simple to do, why had they not visited the gym yet. To the brown drake’s mind, this ‘gym’ sounded like something quick. Easily caught, killed and eaten. He could do that. He hated losing. His blacklist grew each day. Adding the blackfinned eel drake to his list. He did have to ask her what an eel actually was. A water snake she said. It could bring electricity (sky fire) down from the above and out of its own body. What an unusual thing. He did not like this at all. But Ridelys had nothing to say from the result; she had no reason to. Neither of them liked losing; rusty as they were. It had been a few years from the almost seasonal sarane bouts, and those were usually first claw forward gets the kill. Ok, not the ‘kill’. Only a few drakes had been killed in the pit. And now it was time to do this again. But why was she so uneased? Did it have to do with the thing in her hand of a bear’s face with horns? 5.5 lv up 10.20 ready

Another fight, another loss. Aster was beginning to get used to it, though up until now, it had been some time since he'd experienced this level of disappointment in the Pit. But then, he'd stayed away from it for a good while too, so maybe it shouldn't have been a surprise that things had changed in the intervening time.
Whatever his thoughts on the matter though, Grunty seemed to be taking it well--- or at least, he didn't seem bothered by it, anyway--- which was more important. He'd been probing the 'Gug for fear, but thus far he hadn't really found any. Maybe it was because Grunty knew the drill by now, that there'd be a medic on hand to deal with everything, and he'd be right as rain after.
They entered the pit for the next match, and Aster felt almost compelled to laugh when he saw their opponent. Another Sarane... They'd certainly become popular, hadn't they?

Calculations
- Caiman can use everything he knows
- Grunty cannot use Dig
- Both have equal Dex, Caiman goes first due to coin flip

Aster knew better than to underestimate the drakes now, having fought two of them before this, though it was still a bit of a toss up as to whether they could take down Grunty first, or whether he would catch them in time. This one seemed a little slower off the mark than the others when it came to moving, but that didn't mean Grunty could quite get the jump on it either. Disappointing, but also not a great surprise, all things considered.
Ah well, speed had never been a Thundergug's forte. [See if you can hit him with Thunder before he takes off,] Aster instructed. Not that it was impossible to land a blow once they were in the air, but things got more difficult, and the longer they could keep their foe on the ground, the better.
Grunty pawed the sand once, then his haunches tensed, ready to heave his upper half into the air in preparation for the crash of noise to follow.
[Grunty uses Thunder]
