Morgan was absolutely floored; this entire thing with the Jackalope had gotten WAY out of hand. How was Morgan supposed to pay him back this time? That Taro Kitten could not have been cheap under any circumstances, those were so rare... How did the Jackalope know that it looked like their old childhood cat? That was something that Morgan would probably never know, and it made the bespectacled human incredibly anxious. However; it was now or never for Morgan to try to one up him; perhaps permanently? This ever revolving door of gifts could stop, with Morgan not having to actually be obligated to give him anything, if they could just find the rarest thing possible, something he couldn't Afford to outdo.
The human stepped into the Questing Inquisitor shop and sighed heavily, drawing their labcoat around them instinctively... They'd shoulder checked the owner about a week ago, so this might not go as well as they hoped? UGH. "Hey there, I'd like to buy two of your... Stray Orbaru." It almost hurt to say it; Morgan didn't like orbaru, but the Jackalope did, so that was that. "A male and a female... And uh? How about a berry too?" Morgan had enough quest points for that, they were sure.
Buying List: x1 Male Stray Orbaru - 5 x1 Female Stray Orbaru - 5 x1 Twin Berry - 1

Jolyne glared a little at the person as they entered and glanced down at the Orbaru running around her feet as she stood there. Finally, raising an eyebrow, she whipped around and grabbed the berry they asked for and leaned on the counter again, "Here, 11 quest points from you." She held her hand out impatiently for their card.

Morgan had been expecting the vitriol, and didn't let it bother them. They were just a bit relieved that they were going to be served at all. The blond human looked at the Swamp-Stag in the eyes while handing over their Quest Points card. "Sure, here you go." That would pretty much clean them out of QP, but it was perhaps worth it in the long run. Perhaps this would get the Jackalope off of their back. This entire gifting war was both annoying and perhaps a bit of an odd eccentricity of a reaction for both of their cultures. Morgan tried not to think of whatever culture the Jackalope must have come from (the half-naked running around in a mask for some reason culture), especially since they didn't plan on leaving the Labs, but sometimes the bespectacled human was quite curious about it.
The orbaru were probably going to be awful to get home eventually, but Morgan had come with a game plan.

After swiping the card and ensuring they had enough to purchase the two Orbaru and the berry, the woman nodded and held out two leashes after deftly capturing a pair of Orbaru. She waited impatiently for them to take them before slipping the berry into a bag and handing that over as well. "Good," was all the woman said.
