Renathan had been planning on coming out to the Traders' again, a little later on in the month, but it would seem that a new commission at his job was going to force him to go ahead and come today instead of some other time. He liked to be able to procure items the entire month if he could, but alas, sometimes things didn't work out the way he had hoped. The mammalian let Auburn off his shoulder, and called her to the ground to stay in a specific spot nearby. He knew that she wouldn't do anything to bother the tables, but he wanted to put everyone else at ease anyway. He steps up to the trader's table and sits down a basket full of stuff he was holding. "Hello there, I would like to trade this stuff for some of your wares. I hear you have some pretty spotted fishes? And well-" He glances around really fast to see what else was around really fast. "I'd like one of those fishes, one of your berries- the magical ones, and as many opals as this stuff would be worth." Opals were pretty enough, anyway, for projects, and of course were worth a decent number of credits too. They were of more use than some of this stuff. "Thank you." He said, feeling a bit sheepish. Auburn trilled just a few feet away, sitting where she had been told to. Just then, his eyes caught a strange, nearly ethereal creature... "Oh, what is that?" He asks himself, curiously.
Wanting: x1 F-29, as Many Opals as Possible, x1 Magical Berry, x1 Specter (if there is enough?)
The Trader raised a brow under the cloak and then shook his shoulders a little in a laugh. He gestured toward the specter for a moment so he could take a closer look, before turning and gathering a few things. Turning back around, he put a basket of 13 opals on the counter, with a magical berry on top, and a fish in a bag with it. Then he turned back to the specter and tilted his head. Carefully, he placed two shells back on the counter with the items, signaling it was too much, as well as the diamond marquise and rhodonite.
Renathan watched carefully, making sure to catch each movement so that he understood what was going on well enough. He had a bit of difficulty, of course, his own people had a form of body language that went with the spoken tongue, but the form of the trader was obscured quite a bit, so Renathan was having a little difficulty. After a moment, he seemed to understand much better what had just happened. "Oh, too much? Okay, I'll take those back home then. Is the rest of this okay?" He bowed his head in the mask, picking up the indicated things that were 'too much' and then placing them back into the basket where he could take them back home. He wanted to make absolute sure that he was understanding what was going on well. Still, he grinned quickly beneath his mask and then nodded to the trader. "Thank you." He said, perhaps simply. He wasn't sure what to call the individual.
The Trader nodded and then motioned toward the specter again. He walked over, a shambling lurch, and tied a strange rope around it's neck before leading it back over to the man, tilting his head, as though questioning if he truly wanted the ethereal creature or not.
Oh, now Renathan understood! He watched as the mysterious individual managed to get the ethereal-looking creature all wrangled up... How? Renathan's mouth hung open and shaped into a little 'o', probably even visible beneath the mask with the tilt of his head. He wasn't even going to ask how, this was beyond his understanding, of course. He wasn't about to question this much more skilled individual than he; who knew something that he did not at all know was even possible! "Oh, yes, I'd love to bring that one home." He nodded, he hadn't known if he had brought enough for it, but he was more than happy that he brought enough. "Thank you! Will it uh, continue to follow on the rope?" He told himself he wouldn't ask, but he found himself asking anyway. Renathan smiled gently, he'd take home everything he was allowed to, of course. It would be neat to train something like that!

The Trader nodded happily and handed over the strange rope, then pushed the basket of goodies over to the man. He then swept the items traded to him into a basket of his own and turned around to finally get them put away.
