Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is the September 6th. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 3 days to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Somehow they'd won against the Drake, not like the Tat-lung. But the 'lung had been quick in the air, quicker than the Drake, which meant something she figured. Jack pushed her hair back with a sigh, she had turned inward onto herself again, not letting a lot of things except sadness escape. It was an issue she had from time to time, though she didn't know what to do about it except to ride it out and hopefully not have to worry about it much for now. It was happening and that was all there was to it. Jack leaned on her Thundergug for a moment before giving a half-hearted smile and patting him on the side before she wandered up into the stands to watch the fight. They were finally up against another Thundergug, something she'd been looking forward to for awhile now, but she could only manage a little sigh as she waited.

Yes *Special!* Chosen extra move *Special! *: Maul (4) Amelia was mad, and so was Sandy. They had been disqualified from the last tournament, and frankly Amelia didn't understand why. This was their last battle and Amelia imagined she wouldn't enjoy it very much. Sandy was upset, they had been stopped moments from her attack and told that they were disqualified and had an automatic loss. Sandy had never encountered that before, and it had left a bad taste in both of their mouths. I am never entering another tournament. Once this battle is over I am never putting myself through this again. None of this is fair to me.I know. Let's finish this battle and we won't have to bother with this again. The frustration could be felt the moment the duo came into the arena. Amelia took her seat in silence. The other woman she had met before she had lost her memory, but as Amelia she had no idea who the other woman was. So she sat in silence, not even giving the opponent a smile. At this point she was ready for things to be over quickly, and she imagined it would not be long before her and Sandy had a chance to go home. Sandy walked into the pit, slightly shocked to see another Thundergug. She sniffed out towards the other 'gug. He looked very similar to the last opponent they faced, but their colouration scheme was slightly different. Two different creatures, and she was sure there would be something different this one had up its sleeve. 30 (Ready)

Sandy snorted and walked around the pit a little bit. She was quite ready to be done with everything that was related to this battle, but she didn't want to give up. The other Thundergug was larger than herself, and larger than a normal Thundergug would be. Amelia imagined this was done through something artificial, and in turn it would probably cause him to be a more difficult opponent in battle. The silver bracelet was visible, and Amelia cursed herself for forgetting to put one on Sandy. Regardless, they were here and ready for battle. One more, then it would be over. With the last two disqualifications (which Amelia was still very unimpressed with,) they were certainly not champions, and at this point Amelia didn't think it was plausible that she would ever be. There were too many creatures with unnatural additives that were creating them into battle monsters she was unable to compete with. The last Thundergug could breathe fire, and she had seen other creatures call upon water and ice, which were far from something they could normally do. Amelia had little interest in turning Sandy into something she was not, not to mention the Thundergug didn't want to be here in the first place.
We should probably do something quick so we don't miss our chance. Try to use Thunder.
Amelia imagined with the shining bracelet the other Thundergug might move quicker, but as of this moment he had not, so perhaps they had a chance.

The other Thundergug looked pretty good! They'd been to the Gym as well, or she was completely out of practice. Jack leaned on the railing in front of her and rested her chin on her hands before calling to her own Thundergug through their Ribbon, "Alright, roar and let's get started. Hopefully you're quicker at least." Kro nodded a little and then settled back and roared as loud as he could at the other Thundergug. Hopefully things would work out in the end of it all, but he wasn't so sure. She could take a hit and he knew it, but he didn't know what to do about things right now. Really, he just had to trust the woman and fight as best as he could. He'd never fought another Thundergug, at least that he could remember at the moment and all that. Jack couldn't remember any either, which was bad enough at the moment.

Well that went about as expected she figured as the other Thundergug faltered for a moment. She was sure Kro would get to that point as well sometime in the fight, but that didn't really matter, she was fairly confident, but not enough to be cocky, she'd learned that lesson well. Smiling, she sent the command to him through their Ribbon, "Okay, breath, Kro! It won't take her down all the way, but it'll get her a bit at this point." Kro grunted and opened his mouth, inhaling deeply before exhaling toward the other Thundergug, a stream of cold air and snowflakes coming from him. It was going to be great, she knew it would only take a couple of times to get her down, but that was fine she figured with a little chuckle. At least she had an idea of what to do at the moment, right? Kro would most likely take a hit, and that was fine.

She wasn't quite sure what had happened. Amelia had surely given her command before the other owner, yet Sandy just wasn't quick enough. Regardless, they were still able to get a move or two in she was sure. Sandy was, at this point, used to loud sounds that would make her miss moves and falter in battle. There was little that could be done she imagined, as Sandy just wasn't as quick as she could be.
Amelia crinkled her nose when she began to see the snowflakes and snow gather. She knew that surely it was unnatural for a Thundergug to have that ability, so it must have been an injection. Amelia wasn't a fan of all the modifications being made to pets now a days. Most creatures had injections or odd enhancements for battle. The owners spent a lot of money on things like this, and this just furthered a creature to be able to win a battle. She had gotten an earth injection for Christina, as she certainly felt that she aligned more with that nature so it was a lot more fitting. But a Thundergug who was aligned with the winter? It wasn't a Tundra Thundergug either, so it must be something extra. Amelia's opinions didn't matter however, and she was sure if she wanted a chance of winning a tournament one day she would have to spend a lot of money. As new things came out, becoming a tournament champion became more and more unattainable.
Try again with the Thunder.
Sandy was quicker this time, perhaps not as quick as she needed to be, and began to wildly stomp her feet into the ground, creating a loud sound that would surely frighten the other opponent.

Jack cheered when the attack hit, and she saw the Thundergug blanch a little it seemed, though she couldn't be sure through all the snow and cold air. She just hoped this meant they would win the fight sooner rather than later. Though when the other Thundergug started to stomp on the ground, she knew it would take a little while longer for them to get things done. That was fine! Jack smiled a little and then shook her head, not knowing what to do, Kro was a little disoriented and she couldn't get a command through to him. She knew it would be easier to hit him at this point, but that was fine at the same time. She smiled a little and waited for his mind to clear before trying to issue another command. She just knew that waiting was going to be the best option for them right now, so wait she did.

Sometimes making a lot of noise was a good thing, and Amelia was pleased to see their attack worked. The cold air wasn't good. She had determined it had to be an injection, because she was shocked to see the cold snow coming from a Thundergug. Sandy didn't take it well, and she stumbled backwards, the cold chilling her to her bone. It was mainly frozen air, and snowflakes had accumulated in the air due to the freezing moisture. Sandy hadn't had an attack like that before, and the Thundergug let out a loud bellow.
That hurt, so much. So cold.
The Thundergug managed to get out a few words, and she was at least happy that her stomping had made an impact, and they would have to act quickly.
I don't know if you can take another hit like that again. I don't even know what it was. Use Maul. At this rate I don't think we can win this battle, but remember, we're here to learn too.
Sandy wasn't pleased with the response per say, she may have chosen a stronger move to use again the Thundergug. But, she complied with her best friend and was quick to attack. Her claws were short but sharp, and the damage to the flesh would be lasting.

Calculations
-Kro skips his turn due to the previous thunder.
-Sandy uses Maul A d10 is rolled; 3 is rolled. Sandy's dex of 5 + 3 = 8 8 vs Kro's dex of 7 Maul will do the most damage possible. Sandy's strength of 10 + Maul's damage of 3 = 13 13 minus Kro's resistance of 8 = 5 Kro's stamina of 21 - 4 (5-1 due to stone skin) = 17 Kro now has 17 stamina remaining.

Kro staggered for a moment and then snorted, stamping a foot on the floor of the Pit when his blood was spilled. It ran along the sides of the Pit when it reached the gutters, and he glowered at the other Thundergug. Whatever, it didn't really matter, he'd get healed and all would be well, at least that's what the woman always told him. Jack leaned on the railing again and smiled a little, it looked like all that training had worked out pretty well, he'd taken that hit very easily it seemed. Pushing her hair back on her head, she called to him over their Ribbon, "Once more Kro, breath!" Kro shook his head a little and then opened his mouth, inhaling and then exhaling a steady stream of ice and cold air toward the female Thundergug, hoping this would take her down, but if not, no worries, he would get her again soon.

They didn't want to be too slow, but it was evident this Thundergug was getting his attacks in first. The cold air even moved up into the stands, and although not painful for the owners, the cold still chilled her. Amelia was able to keep warm with the thick coat she had, that was one benefit of being a mammalian. Even still, she wasn't a fan of weird changes in weather or temperature. It was still summer, and although she knew it wouldn't be long before the leaves change and fall to the ground, she was still cherishing what they had left of summer. The other Thundergug began his attack again, and Amelia grimaced. That was typical in battles, a creature would just repeatedly use their strongest move until their opponent went down. She was guilty of it, frankly it was one of the best strategies. Especially when your fighting creature was so large and powerful to begin with.
Do you think you'll be able to withstand this attack? If so, try to use crunch. If not, that's okay.
I'll try my best.
Sandy felt the cold begin to come towards her, and she reacted in an interesting way compared to some. She laid down on the ground and braced herself. She tucked her head down and shut her eyes. If she was still standing it wouldn't take much to unexpectedly jump forward and snap her jaws into the Thundergug. But his attack was already coming, and she wasn't going to be able to move quick enough.
It's so cold. I don't know about this.
It's okay if you can't, I'm so proud of you either way. I love you.
Amelia could feel the warmth from the Thundergug. Sharing an emotional bond was good for moments like this. She could feel Sandy's fear, but she also knew that Sandy and her shared the love and loyalty between them that she didn't share with anybody else.
I love you too.
The words were shakey, and Amelia waited. This would either be over quickly, over it would certainly be an interesting turn of events. Either way, Sandy was okay with it.
