Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 3 day deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

‘This tournament has been going so strangely these last couple of rounds, don’t you think?’ She asks to Rayak as they walk in the hallway towards the pit after Rayak’s medical checkup, he was declared to be still as healthy as the last time he had needed to go to it. ‘Can’t say I mind it, not when I had to face those overgrown lizards the first few rounds. I know that I certainly will need more training then I had when it comes against facing them again next time.’ She hears him sigh in her mind at that, she doesn’t think the actual training would bother him, its likely more to do with how overwhelmingly he was defeated back then. ‘We’ll just have to fix that then for next time.’ She muses back at him, already having several things in mind he could learn for when the occasion comes up.
Opening the doors when they come within reach almost feels anticlimactic with how the last one went. She had seriously thought they where going to be late. “After you.” She mutters to Rayak as he enters first before she did, looking at his surroundings with narrowed eyes at seeing no trace of their opponents yet. ‘Lets hope with this being the last match, you’ll have luck at your side. I don’t know who we have as a opponent this time, but I have a hunch it won’t be an easy one should they show up.[/i]’ She couldn’t help but comment as she strokes his head for a moment, looking at him with worried eyes for a moment till he looked away and with a sigh she left his side to go to the small gate leading to the bleachers, wanting to find a good spot before its too late and the match is called to start. ‘Thanks... I think.’ The tone in his voice almost sounded sardonically when he did as an afterthought, yet she could feel the pit of dread in her stomach growing.

So the last battle had ended poorly for them. Sandy had tried to brace herself from the cold, but it was too much and she had fainted. She was quickly healed and not long after they had gotten another notification for a battle. Amelia had assumed they were finished as it felt like they had been part of many battles at this point. Hopefully this was the last one, at this point they were just exhausted.
This is the last one right? I'm so tired of all these battles. I'm pretty much ready to be done.
You know, I've never met a Thundergug who hates battling as much as you. But apparently this is the last one. Showing up is half the battle apparently, and even then we've gotten disqualified for really no good reason.
Amelia was bitter about their two disqualifications, because she didn't feel as though it made a lot of sense to her. It didn't matter though, those were in the past. This would be Sandy's last battle until Amelia could convince her to join another tournament or battle again. She was pretty sure that wasn't going to happen, Sandy was quite adamant about this not happening again. The Thundergug and mammalian had learned a lot as a team, and perhaps that would benefit Amelia if she was to join another tournament. But at this point, she wasn't even sure if she would be able to join another tournament. It meant she would have to train another creature, and she wasn't sure if she had the energy for that.
Sandy stood in the sand of the pit, her opponent already there. It was a Mosca. She hadn't seen one of these in battle before, but she imagined it was quite the tough creature to be battling. Amelia looked at the Mosca and the other owner from the stands, and had a bad feeling in her gut. It wasn't that she didn't think she would be able to beat the Mosca, but something else didn't feel right. Regardless, she settled herself in and waited for the signal to start the battle.

Notes
-Rayak cannot use Climb, Stalk, Hydro Jet, Dig, or Burrow as there is nothing to climb, nothing to hide in, no water, and only a thin layer of sand in the Pit.
-Sandy can use all of the moves and abilities she knows.
EDIT: Rayak will be affected by Sandy's Intimidation; his Dexterity is 4 and his strength is 4 for the remainder of the fight.

That was different. It had been a long time since a creature had been afraid of Sandy. Many times creatures were afraid of her, and that was how Amelia would train them to be a little bit less afraid of scary creatures. Now days everybody was training their creatures to be both scary and resilient to other scary creatures. Sandy was naturally like that, which was quite lovely in some ways. In other ways it was too bad that some of her natural strengths did little good in battle. Except this one. Maybe that was what was odd to the mammalian, but she still couldn't quite but her finger on it.
Sandy, how about we start with a nice loud stomping again. I know that won't get us far but it is a way to start.
The Thundergug looked up at the mammalian with a twinkle in her eye and didn't reply. This was a good thing, or so she thought. The last few battles had ended so poorly for them, it was different for something to go their way. Which was odd for the mammalian, as she was used to her powerhouse being able to take down their targets. But two disqualifications and the last defeat hadn't been great for their spirits. Regardless, this was the last battle and they could put this behind them when they went home.
Sandy began to stomp her feet into the thing layer of sand, and the loud sound resonated through the arena.

‘Not another one again..’ She hears Rayak say in her mind with a nervous tone, and she couldn’t agree more with it when a Thundergug entered the pit from the opposing doors that open up briefly to let it through, and looking at the opposing stands she sees a mammalian place themselves a little while later there in what is clearly meant for the owners to sit or stand in. She wasn’t certain if she’d seen the snow leopard before out on the streets perhaps, but the way that the Thundergug has in as far as looks go it would certainly be one they’d both remember after this fight. ‘This was the last fight right? Isn’t it..’ She looks in Rayak’s direction as he seems to be searching for the right words to say to her. His ears are flattened so much against his neck it seems almost like he has no ears, and his tail flicks nervously at the tip while he stays crouched, hissing at the thundergug that just entered in the pit. ‘Ironic.. Ironic that our first battle begins, and now ends with one of these overgrown lizards?’ Tilting her head slightly to the side she considers those words as she watches him, and then the Thundergug in question. ‘Yes, it is, but there is also nothing I can do about it. At least.. It is better then the alternative.’ She says softly to him as one particular scenario comes to mind. ‘And that is?’ She hears Rayak say as he starts to ready himself for the fight to start. ‘Imagine going through three rounds in a row with them, instead of two.’ She pauses for a moment, feeling tense as the announcement comes through that they can now start the fight. ‘Rayak use-’ Before she even finished her words she hears a loud stomp go through the arena, almost akin to thunder but not quite. Both freeze up in that moment.

“This sure stings.” She mutters after shaking off the sudden shock of hearing such a noise again, looking at Rayak she can tell it took him just a bit longer then normal to have his muscles relax enough to move again as well, but luckily their opponent didn’t deign to attack Rayak just yet. ‘Rayak, I’m sorry to say this, but I think this one is tougher by the looks of it then the other Thundergug’s we have faced. I don’t think we can get a clear shot in the normal way. Lets do our best with just speedy attacks?’ She knows even with trying to pull it off that a lot will hang on sheer luck if they even make it that way. She sees Rayak eye the Thundergug, looking at the same things she noticed with how the Thundergug positions itself that it was just a bit different then the others they faced. ‘You might be right in that,’ She hears a sudden snarl come from Rayak as his wings suddenly sprout out of his back, and fold themselves closely on his back. ‘but that doesn’t mean I won’t do my best in this.’ She hears him growl out in her mind as he starts to run away from the Thundergug, by now they’ve had done it often enough that Rayak knows what she meant with needed speedy attacks, and that a great deal of luck will be involved in this as well, should he wish to make it out of this battle unharmed.

One thing that Amelia knew the Mosca had on them was speed. If he had the chance to get in the air, she was sure they were toast. But somehow, the fear Sandy was striking into the foe was giving them the upper hand. Had the Mosca not been afraid, she was sure they would barely be getting an attack in. She thought of the Tat-lung they had faced. The only reason Sandy had won was luck. It was so quick and fast, out of the way before they could even turn. It was a once in a lifetime attack, and it was something that would probably never happen again. They also had bad luck, and sometimes attacks that otherwise would hit just wouldn't. They would sail through the air, the opponent easily avoiding being in the attacking zone.
Let's use Tail strike. I don't think you've done that one before, and the point of this tournament for us is to try to diversify the moves we use a little more. I think we always use the really hard hitting attacks. Not to say this one isn't powerful, but I think it's nice for us to do something a little different. You don't learn by using the same two moves overtime.
Their tactic was different than most. Sandy was using moves she was less experienced with, and this was joyful to the team. Maybe she would miss, it was entirely possible. There were times where she would barely scratch the foe and they were down. The battle with the Equillion was something different. Sandy was much larger and stronger, but the acid tore away at her until finally she just laid down and let herself slip away instead of hurting herself any further. The last battle, the cold chilled into her bones until she was unable to battle any longer. There were times it felt like they were giving up, but instead really just accepting defeat. Sandy didn't want to fight to the death, she didn't want to destroy the opponents she was facing so that they would have everlasting scars. Often she would use an attack that was just strong enough for the opponent to faint, and they were easily healed. Sure the harsher attacks were easily healed as well, but for the duo it was the thing that kept them sane in this gruesome battle arena.

Calculations
-Sandy uses Tail Strike A d10 is rolled; 10 is rolled! Tail Strike will do as much damage as possible. Tail Strike deals 1.5 times the strength in damage. Sandy's Strength is 10 (times the 1.5 this is 15) 15 Damage - Rayak's Resistance of 4 = 11 Rayak's Stamina of 11 - 11 Rayak now has 0 Stamina
The tail strike lands with a thick thud, depositing Rayak to the ground. Immediately the pit crew swarm to heal him back up.
Results
Amelia gets 3 prize points, and Sandy gets 2 levels for winning. Twilight-Claw gets 1 prize point, and Rayak gets 1 level for losing.
