He knew that Auburn was his most well trained agile pet, but she certainly wasn't his first choice. Still, he is the first to step out on the stage with his beloved izer on his arm. He held her out for all to see; most had probably already seen her a month or so ago? Maybe two months... He really had to think about it. Once he stood out nearby the start of the agilty ring, he gave a quick wave. "Good day folks. I present, Auburn- my izer!" At this, he gave her the command to fly- "Auburn, Aesri!" and up she flew, going quite high up, flitting around quite dexterously, surprisingly so in fact. At this, he began giving her commands to show off a few of her more agile flight maneuvers, starting with the 'basics'. "Auburn, Rilaesri- Laesri!" Auburn slowed into a flutter, and then extended into a glide speedily. At that, he called her to the ground quickly. "Auburn, Ri!" Auburn immediately dropped down to the ground- but they weren't done yet!

Renathan wasn't done yet, he knew that Auburn still had tricks up her sleeve. While they perhaps weren't completely the most super fancy things, since he didn't see any need to draw this out (it was an agility competition after all, and not a fancy trick compilation, though she knew many). Before the izer even got completely landed, Renathan gave another command, "Auburn, Laenrii!" He cried, and at that, she hit the ground running, dashing back and forth, each time he called out dash she did so without tiring. For such a creature, winged and all, it would seem like she would not have been that fast or agile on the ground. It was probably quite shocking to see an izer of all things dash across the ground so speedily and with such grace. After a few more times, showing off her Endurance, Renathan went ahead and called her to come to him. "Alrighty Folks, that's Auburn!" He said, giving a wave and having her bow.
[2] - [Auburn uses Dash on command, shows off her Endurance in the process, and then demonstrates that she knows Renathan's location by command and Bows to the crowd on command.]

Ashe was taking a rather big risk here, but who was he if not a risk taker? He had thought of the quickest pet he currently owned, that was also not terribly scary, and he had immediately thought of Puff, his Stormcloud Elemental. While he hadn't trained this critter, and he risked looking silly up in front of everyone besides, he thought that a storm cloud wind elemental would be a great example of agility and speed. Puff, thankfully, stayed with him (and Inyala) as they walked out onto the floor, looking around at the crowd gathered to watch. Puff seemed to be vibrating - excitement? Fear? Ashe wasn't positive, but Puff seemed to be more of the former. When they came to a stop, Ashe stretched out his hand toward Puff, and turned his attention to the audience. "I present Puff, the Stormcloud, for your entertainment!" Ashe announced, introducing his pet. He turned his hand so his wrist was upward, and Puff spun to mimic the motion. Its dark cloud of a body twirled around Ashe's hand, then his arm, then through his body, which Ashe wasn't expecting. He kept his face blank, not reacting to the cloud going through and around him, and Puff continued his swirl and twirl, before floating up above Ashe, looking comically like a rainy stormcloud over a sad character's head. Ashe made a sweeping gesture with his arm, creating his own little bit of wind, and this seemed to excite Puff all over again, because next thing Ashe knew, the Stormcloud was zipping around the arena, going over the heads of the guests, up and down, incredibly fast and blurry. When it tired, it returned to Ashe, and the man pretended it was all part of the act by holding up his hand, pointer finger skyward while the others bent. Good lord, that had lasted longer than Ashe had planned on! But that's what happened when you didn't have cues to end the show. To top it all off, Inyala was nearly dizzy after watching the display, and had changed positions to simply sit on Ashe's shoulder and watch the crowd, rather than the hyperactive elemental. [Puff demonstrates Float and Intangible Body and generally zooms around the place] [Female please] - c -

The two who went before him had flying creatures. A bird... with four legs, and what appeared to be a floating cloud with eye sockets. Such unusual things. Flare hadn't any idea how to demonstrate Monarch's agility. Sort of how he didn't really realize how to show the creature as being cute. The conifer cat clung to his torso, tiny twiggy fingers finding near no place to grip. The giant's scales had very little if any gap between. Once the human and the cloud left the stage, Flare took the initiative and walked over to one of the people who were manning the edge of the stage. He asked in Tumai about finding something for Mfalme to climb up and around, but the man simply shook his head. This was the one who could speak ssakash to a point. We do not provide props, bring your own., was the gist of it. Alright, he had no real idea here then. But... he did have 'that'. Up onto the stage the ssashirk ascended, his creature staring about at the stage he'd been placed on not long ago. What did the giant who gave unwanted flying lessons have in mind this time. "Flare." he points at himself, and extends a polite gesture of putting a fist over his heart. "Mfalme." he points at the conifer cat. Prying the creature off of him, he places Monarch on the stage and steps back a step or two. He wouldn't be able to easily crouch down and get back up, even with the vine staff-cane. Fishing out one of the holey balls that came in that massive barrel of toys he'd earned for attempting to do... something, he fished out a few sprigs of cut lemongrass. He'd found over time that Monarch loved his woody herbs. He lowers the ball, allowing the conifer cat a good whiff of the split branches inside. He could see Monarch's eyes widen a bit, the pupils dilate. With a gentle lobbing, he tosses the ball across the stage. With a burst of speed, the little conifer cat charges after the toy filled with delicious food. Thsi thing might as well be a treat ball. [ Monarch dashes, not on command] 16.20 [male please ]

Ok, food might be a bit of a strong word for what was inside the holey ball. But to Monarch, it was food. He'd been plucked from his collapsed home before he could properly snatch up more branches to fill him up inside. The ball spun away across the stage, making not much noise, surprisingly. To the audience, they watched a green spiny hedgehog chasing a ball across the stage. Not terribly interesting, but the small creature did have some speed to them. Just as the creature manages to catch the ball in their claws, the slick surface with little to hold onto pops out of their paws and skitters away. If anything, it could become a source of exercise for the woody little creature. Ended up having to pounce right on top of it before those claws got hooked into the holes of the plastic ball and could be classified as 'caught'. The weight of the conifer cat vs the light plastic ball forces him to roll onto his back. Thankfully his spines seem to be supple and not damaged when the critter rolls over. He's poking his fingers into the ball, fishing out the lemongrass shoots and chewing them up. Ah, citrusy. When he finally found no more shoots to pick out, the conifer cat rolled back over, his prizes in hand as he carried/dragged it over to Flare. Would the giant put more inside? He nods instead, making a positive noise and "Mfalme." He didn't get it, and then had another flying lesson. Thank you, NO thank you. "Mfalme. Tank u." he gives a polite gesture and leaves the stage. Good job Mfalme. [Monarch uses dash, pounce, get [ball] and fetch, not on command] 17.20

They were here to have fun, and fun they would have. Jack smiled a little and showed off her little Vespa, who really... wasn't all that little anymore. Sure she remembered him as a little grub, but no one else needed to, did they? "He doesn't know much on command, just his name and how to come, but that doesn't stop him trying to fly!" she announced as he buzzed his wings up a little on that. She gave a bit of a chuckle and then shook her head as he strutted a little bit. He was a show off, and that was fine though, she figured with a little smile on her face. Honestly she just needed to train him up and then things would be fine after all, but she didn't know what to think of him at the moment doing all this stuff. [Female Moonhare please!]

After the vespa came off of the ring, Fiera knew it was her turn. She took a deep breath, and then released. Aces and Jack were practically chomping at the bit, loving the roar of the crowd beyond the curtain. Fiera wasn’t quite as much of a fan, but she couldn’t fault them for their enthusiasm. She paced a bit, giving herself ann internal pep talk. It was going to be fine! They had trained for this for weeks! They couldn’t do THAT poorly... right? Ugh. Rather than let herself dwell on it, Fiera decided it was better to get started. She was being waved on stage anyway. Rather than let the crowd know how nervous she was, she flounced out with a bright smile, all colorful clothing and bouncy demeanor. “Follow me Aces, Jack!” She said as she went, and sure enough, they followed close behind, step in step. “Hello, everyone!” She called to the cheering audience.

“I have quite a sweet treat for you, today!” She said with a flourish. “Presenting… the Love Plushes, Aces and Jack!” She whispered under her breath to the pair of them- “Leap!”, and the two jumped up in the air, as if thrilled to see the audience. “Watch, ladies and gentlemen…” She said, turning to the obstacle course she had asked them to set up. “As these two carry out an dizzying display of agility, dexterity, and daring! Starting with… myself!” Then, she snapped her fingers, gesturing at Aces and Jack, and then her legs. “Weave legs!” She commanded, and the two leapt to attention, weaving in and out of her legs, one after the other, as she walked down the course. Every time she put a foot down, they treated it like another obstacle to deftly wind between. The course itself was a dual-tracked wonder, with one copy of it sitting adjacent to the other, so Aces and Jack both had their own course to maneuver.

It started out with some poles for them to weave between, followed up by some hurdles, about two feet tall. From there however, it only got taller, with blocks of steadily increasing height for them to jump up onto. Then, they’d jump from one box to another through a hoop. The finale would be a curving, spiral ramp they’d run up, leading to a red flag at the very top- a height of nearly fifteen feet. The idea was that being the same creature, they’d run it in perfect sync but… well, Fiera would settle for them finishing it at all. Finally, Fiera reached the starting line of the course, and gently nudged Aces and Jack to their respective starting lines, while she stood between the courses to keep them from trying to snuggle each other or break onto the other’s track. “Ready… steady…” She said, both to ready her pet and the audience… “Weave!” She cried, and they were off like a shot.

They slalomed effortlessly between the poles. They had springy bottoms on them so they’d give a distinctive shape when something hit them, but despite their tight movements, neither Aces nor Jack let nary a hair brush against them. Fiera ran between them to keep giving them instructions, but she was having a surprisingly difficult time keeping pace- they were faster than she thought! Then, they reached the hurdles. While she was still catching up, Fiera shouted a command ahead before they could slow down. “Jump over!” She cried, but it looked to her like they already knew the drill, jumping over the hurdles, arcing as a pair, like dolphins over the sea. At one point, they jumped into the middle instead of over their corresponding hurdles, and Fiera’s heart leapt into her throat in turn. Instead of getting distracted however, they merely switched tracks, with Aces on Jack’s track and vice versa.

Fiera gave herself permission to breathe- that probably looked more impressive to the crowd than anything, even though they hadn’t been trained to do it. Finally, they reached the first of the blocks, and their hesitation finally gave Fiera the opportunity to catch up. “Jump up!” She said, patting on the tops of the boxes. The love plush’s bodies gave each other a glance, but complied, jumping onto the first box. Fiera repeated the command for the second and third, until they were so high that Fiera couldn’t reach the top of the boxes that she wanted them to jump up onto. Thankfully, the next box was the same height… but also four feet away with a hoop between the two. Unable to actually touch the hoop, Fiera gestured and pointed to them instead. “Jack! Aces!” She said. “Hoop!” The pair hesitated a moment, glancing off the ledge. Jack the cat was always the braver however, and was the first one to make the leap. They gracefully fell through it, landing at the other side. Not to be outdone, Aces jumped as well. The landing wasn’t as graceful, but they hadn’t fallen either.
(Jump up, Through Hoop on command.)

So far so good. They were ramping up to the finale here however, and Fiera didn’t want to fall down at the finish line. Especially not now that they were doing so well! Once Aces and Jack had gotten themselves settled on the final box, about ten feet in the air, Fiera pointed at the two long bannered flags, sitting on pedestals above a five foot spiralling ramp connected to the boxes. “Get the flag, guys! Get the flag!” She said. The pair glanced around for a second, before Aces finally spotted the flag and started barking before taking off after it. Jack wasn’t far behind, and began climbing the spiral ramp as well. Soon, they were both at the top of the pedestal, lights burning down on them. The pair grabbed their respective flags in their mouths, and peered off the pedestals. How were they to get them to Fiera?

The humanish stood at attention, knowing that this was where she came in in the routine. “Ok Aces- arms!” She said, holding out her arms. Aces whined, and backed away from the edge. Fiera felt a bead of cold sweat run down the back of her neck, along with the thousandfold glare of the audience. “Arms! It’s ok, I’ll catch you!” She repeated. Aces whined again, but used their position on the platform to make a running leap. The flag’s banner flared out behind them, flapping elegantly in the wind as Aces fell. Fiera dashed forward and caught the love plush before it could hit the ground, and deposited the fluffy, wiggling creature on the ground. “Good job!” She said quietly as Aces wagged its tail wildly, before turning to Jack. “Ok Jack- Arms!” She called as Aces yapped next to her, as if giving words of encouragement. The felid love plush bunched itself up, gripping their flag tighter, and launched into the air as well, giving the audience another beautiful view of the flag as it streamed through the air. Fiera didn’t catch Jack so much as they landed directly on her chest, but she did her best to not show the crowd that she had just had the wind knocked out of her. Instead, she placed Jack next to Aces and saved face by bending down into an elegant bow while she wheezed.
(Leap Into Arms on command.)

One last trick- the grand finale! “Ok Aces, Jack!” She said, to the crowd more than the love plush. “Show them your dexterity! Spin the flag!” The pair looked at each other, and then leaned back to sit on their hind legs. Fiera backed away, giving them their space. Then, they did a little toss of the flags, moving them from their mouths to the tips of their noses. She held her breath as they adjusted the flags, making sure they were well balanced. When it looked like they were ready, she reiterated the command, just to make sure. Finally, they lifted their paws and tapped one end of the flag, letting it spin around on their nose, the banner flying around in a circular arc around their heads. Soon enough, the flags were whizzing around, encouraged by the occasional smack at the end of the stick, banners waving proudly. Fiera was relieved- they had done it! “Good job, guys!” She said, clapping with just as much enthusiasm as the audience. Speaking of them, Fiera turned to face the crowd. “That’s all from us today, ladies and gents! Thank you so much! You’ve been a lovely audience!” And with that, Fiera spun around with a flourish, gave her pet a quick command to follow, and walked off stage. She felt about ready to collapse with relief… but by the gods, she had done it.
(Spin item on command- done!)
