Renathan followed the pair up the stairs, and made sure to hold the banister the whole way. Even the banister had been wood burned, and it was absolutely beautiful. Renathan made it to the top and placed his leathery palm on top of the small railing that was there. It went up to about his waist, but should be good enough to catch anyone that may be up there. The mammalian stood up and then stepped over quietly to the pair, just as the female avian grabbed a smooth sheet from one of the many covered statues, and yanked it off. Immediately after Renathan's eyes adjusted, he saw the statue, and boy was it gorgeous. The whole thing was made out of cherry wood, and wood burned and then varnished with a gorgeous cherry stain. Renathan couldn't help but make a soft delighted noise at the beautiful thing. "Woah." He said, simply.

Renathan couldn't help but stare the statue down. It was a beautiful regal galabex, standing up on his hing legs, and kicking his front ones. His head was twisted over his body, and they were heavy with the antlers, the entire thing looked burdened by them more than proud of them. However, his eyes were confident, and his body was twisting, as if his antlers were going to lock with another galabex's antlers somewhere beyond Renathan. It was just perfectly stunning, and with the variations in the burning and in the cherry stain that were purposeful, a whole set of markings could be seen playing across it's hide, each of the individual furs were left on the creature's body by a careful hand and chisel. Renathan's mouth was making a tiny 'o' as he thought about what this beautiful sculpture could even mean. It was really beautiful, even devoid of meaning, but Renathan felt something different about it.

There was something about that regal galabex sculpture that just felt so different, and Renathan couldn't for the life of him figure out exactly what it was. However, Renathan was super pleased about it. "This is so beautiful, the work on the fur is just exquisite, and I don't even know what to say about your delicate variations in the stain... Is it waxed?" Renathan asked, politely, looking at the couple. 'Yes, it was just waxed weeks ago though, so it will need more buffing over time.' She still looked super pleased, but she looked on it as if it could have been better. Renathan knew that look, and knew it well. "It is beautiful though. You have a lot of skill! It is a shame that someone or something is stealing your tools, however." Renathan glanced outside of the frosted windows, past those white lace curtains.

The couple looked at each other for a moment, both a bit crestfallen. 'That it is, we can afford tools, yes, but we wish that whatever it is, or who it is, would just ask us instead. We have tried putting out food for animals, and it is yet untouched. We are very generous, whoever keeps stealing them could have just asked us, and we would have given them the tools.' The male said, his voice a bit sorrowful. Renathan nodded, still looking out the window and wondering about them. 'We don't like that they are stealing, however.' The female piped up. 'We would like to stop them, but we didn't want to get a hold of police, whoever they are they may need help. Will you talk to them?' She asked, carefully. Renathan thought for a moment. He hadn't wanted to fight anyway, not really. He could, but he did not wish to.

Renathan turned away from the window, wondering exactly how the person or creature was getting in. "Have y'all figured out how they are getting in, yet?" He asked, turning towards them politely. "I was just looking at the windows, and they have locks it seems. They are also frosted, I see, so they can't see in before they get in..." He wondered for a moment. 'Well, yes, we looked, but we couldn't figure it out. Nothing is ever destroyed or broken, and they aren't interested in the statues.' The male said, thinking as well. "Did y'all think about maybe putting some flour on the floor? It's hard not to make footprints on the floor in flour." He said. The female chuckled, and swatted at the male avian. 'We did do that, but we suspect the thing is flying. We found no footprints'. Renathan furrowed his brow at that.
