(Impi's old image, she has been registered as perma-juvie with juvie stats, here is the juvie pure image for ya since I don't have an official image for her as a juvie.) Morgan was not typically the most interested in plant creatures beforehand, but the idea of having a tranquil little garden had festered in the back of their mind until finally they made it happen. The garden had been a nice calm place of contemplation since. So it was a sort of no-brainer when, while trying to figure out what to about receiving an old pure equillion, Morgan suddenly realized that there was indeed something that would make it much easier to keep the creature. One anti-growth later, and Morgan was standing outside of the so-called Herbarium they had heard about through the grapevine, with a mischievous little juvie pure equillion filly on a lead. She reacted much better to the lead than Glim had, probably because she used to be old for quite a long time before the anti-growth. The bespectacled human was a little surprised when the doors recognized that Morgan was there, and they gently lead Impi through the opening. Once inside, Morgan curiously and nervously glanced around, but felt quite home here already. It felt nice in here, clinical almost. Everything was clean and smelled airy, and it even looked suspiciously new. Was this part of the old Labs building or what? It seemed brand new! Further down, Morgan was suddenly hit with the scent of plants; and so was Impi. Impi seemed to sniff, flaring her nostrils, curious as to the difference.
Suddenly, a creature could be seen, and Morgan just about jumped out of their SKIN. Impi was far less impressed, standing stark behind Morgan where she was being lead, and mostly ignoring Morgan for the strange not-quite-plant creature. Morgan could hear a voice, and looked up. Ah, there's the keeper! Morgan was about to believe that maybe the thundergug had been the individual they should speak with! Morgan had seen stranger things before. "What a beaut!" Morgan said, nodding towards Willow. "Sure, that sounds good to me." Morgan said, and then they sat down rather unceremoniously in the chair, their own lab coat billowing for a moment before settling as their movement settled.
Willow on the other hand just stood there, at the end of the lead, looking a little indigent at first before getting distracted. "Nice to meet you, I'm Morgan, and this little lady is Impi. Technically the full name is Impish Maiden, and boy is she just that." Already, the juvie equillion was bent down, nibbling at Morgan's pant cuff and pulling on it playfully. "I'm quite interested in getting her plantified, if that's the right word for it." Morgan said, simply.
Honestly, they didn't want to do next; but they hoped to get it down pat.

"An Impish Maiden! Oh how wonderful!" the Assistant said with a bright smile, "I can tell she's going to be a handful, but the Botanist has dealt with some interesting animals in their time here, even though we're rather new to the facility." She was cheerful, teal hair swinging around her ears as she handled her clipboard and wrote a few things down already, eying the Equillion as she wrote just for a few notes for the Botanist.
"Other than being 'impish'," she said with another quick smile, "What's she like? What can we expect her to act like when we're working with her? Any surprises we should know about with her?" Reaching out, she put the back of her hand in front of the Equillion's nose for her to sniff, hoping to get a few pats in while the interview was given.

Morgan looked down, feeling a bit of a pull on their pant leg as the individual spoke. They gently shook their leg, just enough to get Impi to stop chewing on it. Morgan reached out to touch the creature, but she was super shy suddenly, backing off. As soon as Morgan returned all attention to the conversation, she could be seen quite easily standing over Morgan's shoulder by anyone watching. Her golden eyes went from 'I am shy and sweet don't mind me' to 'I'mma getchoo!' All at once, a determined gleam in them. Impi reached out quietly, extending her upper lip like a horse would to eat grass, and then took a very quick nibble of Morgan's golden hair, just enough to annoy Morgan, and then let go without pulling a single hair out as soon as Morgan turned around towards her. "Impi, come on little lady. Don't be a nuisance." Morgan looked a little, ah, embarrassed, and undignified for a second despite their tailored clothes.
"Yes, ah, Impi is... Well, she pretends to be a sweetie, but she's a little terror. I'm a-fearin' telling you all, but you might want to watch out. She doesn't mean to hurt anyone, but she is super curious, and very astute. She's already learning how to try to open the stall doors for one, and for two... Well, you saw her. She's really good about keeping at arm's length and then playing... Ah, pranks. For lack of a better term." Morgan babbled a bit, looking a little stricken and trying to regain composure. They cleared their throat, and then straightened up a little. Impi was standing behind them again, looking quite proud of herself.
"Impi is definitely going to be a little nightmare, so I'm willing to throw in extra payment if you need. I think she'd be an excellent garden addition, especially since she likes to ah, test with her horn. She's also whipped up a few dust-devils at home already." Morgan continued. "Don't let her dainty movements and 'sweet' looks confuse you any, she's an imp." That was true, but Morgan did really prefer a more troublesome creature to work with than the less exciting personalities. "Speaking of her little dust-devils... I was wondering if there was any way to uh, change that to a less messy habit?" Morgan frowned a bit.
Morgan considered for a moment, turning to look in Impi's bright golden eyes for a second, and she immediately melts into 'sweet' again while Morgan was looking at her. "Yeah, It's a shame but that is the only thing she really inherited from her parents. She's the only out of the litter that doesn't have wings; a real loss in my opinion, which is probably why I ended up with her eventually." Morgan nodded, and pushed their glasses up further on their face.
"I love her colors, the darker mane, lighter single sock mark in the front, and the lighter tail tip are definitely beautiful. Her russet colors and dark horn are really nice. I love her little golden eyes too!" Morgan said, looking proud. "My favorite has to be the curly mane though, pures are so cute as juvies." Morgan gently reached out, and finally, finally mussed that mane a bit, but gently.
"Is there any way that we might could ah, keep her colors, horn, and curly mane?" Morgan said, hopefully. "Of course I'll be fine with... Anything as long as she isn't harmed, but you know- I do feel like these are what makes her especially pretty."

The Assistant nodded as she furiously scribbled down some notes while the person was talking. This was excellent information! She smiled and then shook her head a little as Impi nibbled on the person's hair, this was going to be an interesting transformation indeed! "Well, we can see what we can do about that particular proclivity," she assured them, reaching out to pat their hand a little, "Is there anything you'd rather see instead?"
"Ah, she's very autumnal already, would you like us to stick with that theme then? We'll do our best with her coloring, but it might dull or brighten a little, depending on what the Botanist can do with her," she tried to assure them with a smile on her face, it was her job to make them feel at ease here. "While we can't ask for a specific plant, it says it right here," she showed Morgan the clipboard, pointing at a line that said the very thing, "We can ask for a feeling you get with her, or a physical feeling you have when you think of her, it might better aid the Botanist when the work is being done."

Morgan nodded, listening carefully. They knew that this wasn't like customization of course, and that they would be fine with whatever Impi came back as, but they wanted to give as much information as possible just in case any of it could be taken into consideration. While they watched, Impi came forward and then leaned over Morgan's arm, not quite touching it and looking over at the wiggling end of the other individual's writing instrument. Morgan watched Impi with a wary eye, ready to stop her if she tried. "Uh-uh, Impi, don't you even go for that-" Morgan said, gently reigning her in with the lead. Morgan sure hoped that they could deal with this playful and rather frustrating girl while the process went on!
Morgan shook their head. "I can't think of anything specific, feel free to do anything y'all can with it, if y'all can. No need to replace it if y'all can't or anything like that." Morgan said, their off hand moving to their chin to tap it suddenly while thinking. "Oh of course, I don't expect her to come back exact and all! Just a few ideas." At that Morgan nodded, blond hair falling in front of their eyes and being swept away by an index finger. "I can definitely see her as being more Autumn for sure. She loves to play in the fallen leaves around the property and hide among the bushes to jump out and try to scare me." Morgan shook their head. "Never seen an equillion quite so... Unaffected by fear. Nothing seems to spook or deter her for long." Most of the time the crunchy leaves spooked mounts this time of year, stepping on them without being used to the noise and all.
"I think when it comes to her, she kinda reminds me of... Well, she's kinda spooky. Like a little playful ghost, more than an equine. She gets in these little creepy moods that I can't place. Maybe October? I guess, a little bit of the lantern flickering in her heart, but mostly the crunchy leaves dancing on the chilly wind during the darker seasons." That was the best Morgan could explain her, anyway. This was a MUCH better experience than the, ah, unfortunate one Morgan had following Waar's... Temporary Demise.

The Assistant nodded and wrote furiously down on the clipboard, flipping the paper over halfway through and writing on the back of it. She was getting so much information from this individual, it was perfect! Smiling when they were finished, she nodded a little again, "That sounds wonderful, hopefully that will be enough for the Botanist to work with when it comes to that.
"Now," she continued, putting the clipboard in her lap and lacing her fingers together in front of her, "Everyone knows that animals coming from this area of the Labs are... different. But differences have their advantages as well! Some things will, unfortunately, be taken away, but others will be added. What is your personal preference with this? Speed and agility, strength? What kind of a boon would you like for your Impi, other than becoming a plant?"

Morgan nodded, feeling a little anxious. One hand was in their labcoat pocket on that side, the off-hand, and they were busy fiddling about with the magical coins. They new that it would come time to pay, and they hadn't had the most... Benign interaction with the temple. This was different. Morgan felt a bit more laid-back in the relative sterility of the area, and the orderliness of the situation. "Oh, I uh, I don't really have any ideas there. I would just really like it if she wasn't any less agile than she is now I guess? I wouldn't want her, say, rooted to the ground or stiff or anything." Morgan did feel bad about the chance that Impi could come out worse for wear, but they hoped that she would indeed be 'improved' by the process, instead of hindered. Then again, Impi was indeed a juvie, and would never have to battle, as far as Morgan was concerned. Whereas they really hadn't planned for Waar to battle either, they wanted to hopefully use him for self protection at some point. Now that was a little in danger. Impi wouldn't have to worry about that.
Morgan pulled the magical coins from their pocket, suspecting that soon it would be time to pay. They held them discretely in their off hand, but Impi could see them. The light glints off of her eyes as she considers, perhaps, filching them somehow. Pretty... Sparkly!

"Ah, Botanist's choice then? Perfect!" the Assistant said, jotting down a few more notes before putting the clipboard on the counter beside her. She smiled brightly again and then noted, "Now, of course the payment is in question. The price is a single magical coin for this process. However, if you would like her to be unique, then it's a gold coin as well. Are you prepared to pay this price?" Tilting her head, bright teal hair tumbling down a little, she smiled again and waited for the answer from the individual.

Luckily, before Impi could get any ideas about the coins, Morgan handed them over, relieved. "Certainly, here is one of the darker colored coins, and here is the gold one. I think it is quite worth it that she is made a little extra special for me." Morgan said. The human was well off, had been well off for a long time, and was easy with handing over such costly things. It was obvious in the respectful but also detached way that they handed off the coins. At that, Morgan nodded, and gently thumbed the lead in their hands. They were more reluctant to let over Impi, but this WAS part of the process. It wouldn't be nearly as bad as the Waar thing. That was what Morgan had to tell theirself, because the idea of letting anyone else take care of their critters was sort of abhorrent since that incident. Sure, Morgan was super glad that Waar was alive and was not at all upset with his outcome as it had to be done, but Impi wouldn't return... Like that. She'd return as a plant-creature. That was less distressing for sure.
Morgan handed over the lead, and Impi looked anxiously from Morgan to the future recipient of her lead. Was she going to have a new home already? She'd been lead by several people in the last week, and this would be the fourth one. Morgan patted her head. "I'll be back for you Impi, don't worry." Morgan said, before pushing their glasses back up their nose. "Alrighty, anything else required for us?" Morgan said, trying to move past the awkward feeling of this.

The Assistant took the lead without hesitation and put a hand on Impi's head for a moment, letting them say their goodbyes to each other. "Don't you worry, Impi will be in good hands here, and it's a painless process as well," she tried to soothe the youngster with a smile, "That's all we need!" She fingered the coins a little before putting them into her pocket and then grabbing her clipboard. The lady then turned and started to lead Impi into the back, before she turned to speak over her shoulder, "Willow will you show the young one out? Don't you worry now, we'll tell you when she's ready to be picked up!"

Morgan watched as the individual went to lead her away, and they did feel a little better about this, now. It was painless. That was good, good indeed. Heart still hammering a little, which was perhaps a little out of the character Morgan thought of for theirself. It was natural to care about one's creatures, right? That had to be it, Morgan thought, it was natural. Morgan waved at them. "Thank you! I'll be back as soon as y'all call, surely." Morgan promised, feeling a little dumb for getting a bit mushy today. They turned towards where the big thundergug stood, and then walked out. Really, Morgan remembered the way out. They made it a habit to remember the ways out of places that they didn't otherwise know well, since they didn't trust really much of anyone. Still, Impi was going to be okay, right? Morgan glances over their shoulder for a moment down that pristine hallway, and then quietly exits the building through the sliding doors.
A single, dry, crackling leaf is moved by the air exiting the door with Morgan in a quick brush due to atmospheric differences. Morgan's eyes move along it, and then, they make their way.

It is some time with no word, until a brisk autumn wind brings along a blue-green faeron fluttering in the breeze. The wings are like laced leaves, the body like supple vine, the eyes like glowing mayflies. It drops a finely crafted envelope into your hand, one bearing an elegant plant-motif seal, and takes it's leave. The letter is written in a fine cursive, edges decorated with plant-styled bordering, and it invites you back to the Herbarium, for the process has been completed.
Once your steps echo through the hallways, the scene is much the same as you first arrived - the pristine hall, the attention of Willow at the entrance and that earthy scent all around. The Assistant meets you at the entrance, "Ah, most excellent, you have arrived!" inviting further into the side wards. Here, doorways line the walls in endless twists and turns. Most of them have notes on holographic boards beside the door, the door itself closed. Some of them bear names, similar to Willow at the entrance, likewise with doors closed. Finally, you reach a door where the Assistant stops and turns to touch the holographic board lightly, a sparkle escaping her palm, "Over here, if you would." When the door hisses open, there's a scent of loam and slight frost in the air, as the room appears to be a small enclosure almost styled into a large-scale herbarium - autumn trees stand in the room and autumn leaves scatter the floor. The walls are still pristine metal and plastic like the hallway, but there's a shimmery surface laid across to them, mimicking sky and bushes off in the distance, if one were to look at it at an angle.
"It was quite interesting to work with her, I have to say," The Assistant beams, "But I would hope that you can be satisfied with the result." She then turns, calling into the room in a voice suddenly honey-glazed and perhaps not quite of this world, "Impiiiii! T'is time to go home, dear!" The echoes fade, pleasant, comforting, (alluring), and the leaves of the room shift as an equine head is raised. The young equillion rises to her feet, scattering the leaves that had covered her, and takes a few skipping steps towards them, trailing far more leaves than seems physically logical.
"As to your request regarding, ah.. certain dust-devils, you'll find we've fitted her with much more appropriate ability to her nature," she smiles, voice normal again. "Though, I hope you don't mind raking, in case she gets overly excited. The leaves do tend to stay a while!" With that, she leaves you to re-acquaint with your creature, with instructions on the way out, if needed.
