Morgan stood out in the grass, in the largest area without any trees around that they could be around at all. Morgan... Didn't know what they even could do, let alone... Should do. Morgan had no idea how to control this, and they needed to be able to do so to avoid more... Waars, in the future. It was important, tantamount. They were having to mentally prepare for this though, making sure to run through safety plans just in case everything went to hell in a hand-basket, and of course nearly digging a bald spot in the grass with the toe of their boot. Morgan wasn't even sure how to start. However, they did know that they had done this before. Though the last time they had... well, they'd nearly killed something... Had maybe. They weren't sure. Could Chaos even be harnessed? Let alone by someone like Morgan? It wasn't as straightforward as a traditional element, not really. [31]

Morgan figured that a traditional element would have been a ton easier. They had seen the jackalope use his powers of fire a few times. His stomping, dancing, clapping movements worked well with the fire element, producing spectacular shows of (haha, pink) flames. He was very good at it, and Morgan couldn't even imagine getting that good. Morgan was a bit surprised at him, they would never have guessed that fire would have worked for an individual that looked like a jackalope. Perhaps it was the reason why he was always mostly naked all the time? Blegh.
Morgan stood there for a moment longer, and then breathed out, trying to 'find their center' or something stupid like that. Of course, it didn't work. Nothing like that would work in this instance. They could remember, a few weeks ago with Cozette, having tapped into an excited buzzing feeling when they were escaping (okay, maybe not escaping- Morgan had caused it with the fireworks shooter after all) the blazing building.

It was that excited feeling, right? The adrenaline? Morgan had felt that, buzzing in their head like electric current, could practically count the electrons as they whizzed by, whenever they had been attacked by the sarane hen when Waar was a whelp. Yeah, that was it. So did they have to be in danger to tap into that? Morgan felt a little dumb, for once in their life, and a bit useless. They couldn't just... Control their emotions to make theirself feel 'fear' or 'elation' and have an adrenaline rush. They'd have to find another way. Damnit, why hadn't they chosen a less volatile, dangerous element? Of course, they'd let it be up to the wind which crystals came to them first, and that chaos crystal had felt so powerful in their palm... Calling to them.
Morgan probably looked really dumb standing out in their yard doing nothing; thankfully the nearest neighbors lived several lots over.

Morgan wasn't sure how to even begin, so they tried the first few things that came to their mind. They took a broad stance. They felt dumb. They drew up, holding a nonexistent 'ball' in their palm, and then drew out like an anime character. Nope, nope, nope. None of it working. Shit, they thought, they were just going to have to use their chaos magic as it came, and that was gonna suck. They couldn't control their emotions well enough to put it to good use, and that made them a rogue agent, a lose cannon, dangerous. Morgan finally pulled their hands into fists and dug their fingernails into their palms with annoyance. Nothing. Good for absolutely nothing. Remembering with what near gasoline-fluid movements the jackalope used with his fire manipulation made Morgan angry.
It was just then that they felt their eyes... Buzz. Oh; TV fuzz. The familiar TV Fuzz filled their head. That was it, right?

The excitement actually dragged the buzzing away as soon as it had come back. Somewhere, in Morgan's mindscape, their fingers just barely missed grasping the tail end of the silk cloth that the elusive power was attached to. Like a cord being jerked out of the electrical socket on the wall, Morgan felt a glimpse of a spark and then nothing again. "Shit!" Morgan called out. They'd lost it. They'd lost it again! NO! They focused, focused really hard, and nothing. It had to be some kind of a trick to make this work, there just had to be. Morgan wasn't going to allow theirself to be a completely weak individual; beholden to any way the wind decided to push that day.
With that, something clicked, sliding into place like a pilot into the cockpit of a plane. Morgan felt... Strange. In control. The metaphorical g-forces pushed them into the driver's seat harshly.

The first thing that Morgan thought in this newfound state; not quite looking through their own eyes at the moment but kind of over their own shoulder, was 'holy shit I can feel EVERYTHING'. It had taken a moment before they had caught their bearings, even now in the 'cockpit' of their own mind. They could hear the electrical lines under the dirt, on the poles around the area, in the walls of the house not too far away. Okay, perhaps not 'hear' it, but feel it. They could feel it minutely in the brains and spinal columns of the beings on their estate, some even in the road; flowing across their bodies in that orderly way that chaos does when it runs a body. Morgan felt... Elated. A bit of laughter escaped their throat unbidden, when they realized that if they wanted to; if they REALLY wanted to; they could make that electricity seize up.

Morgan was scarcely able to keep theirself from doing that on a whim, just to see the world burn, and even keeping theirself from doing that felt exciting; like they actually had a choice in things around them, like they were in charge. Anything they decided, went. They felt other things, too. They felt like they could go somewhere; perhaps anywhere they wanted to go? Locking eyes with the top of the barn, Morgan was suddenly there, lab-coat billowing behind them as they stood on the precipice, the very edge. Invincible. Morgan felt immortal. They could do anything, right? What were the limitations to... This? The power couldn't be boundless. Morgan took a step off on a whim, and before hitting the ground Morgan imagined, felt, created something beneath their feet. They hovered there, feeling... Strange. Yes; this was nice. Morgan could get used to this. Where did they want to go? They could go anywhere, right? It was then that Morgan came back to their senses. They needed to stay on the estate. Not everyone could know this... This about them.[Morgan used Basic Biosense -3 Chaos MP, Morgan used Teleport Minor -3 Hollow MP, Morgan uses Hover Disc -3 Hollow MP.]

Morgan lowered theirself to the ground carefully, still getting a hang of controlling all of this power. It was strange; absolutely strange, but it felt right. Like the chaos coursing through Morgan's body had always been there, waiting to be released. The elation was all-encompassing, it was difficult to keep their head straight just thinking about it. Morgan tried to will it down, slightly fearfully, but the released fear chemicals actually made it worse, culminating in a strange, higher form of mental function that Morgan was having a hard time keeping up with at first.
Then, it settled. Morgan understood suddenly, but wasn't quite able to put it into words for theirself. Just 'understood'. They lifted up a hand, and pushed the electrons around their fingertips into dance, lighting up like tiny randomly colored stars, like a hologram of the universe and constellations, before winking out just as quickly as it had come.

The bespectacled human wasn't sure how they realized it, but they felt like perhaps they were about 'half' of the way through whatever this was. No, scratch that, they were a little more than half, right? Morgan could feel the power there. That was good, that did mean that there was a limit. Morgan probably wasn't going to explode, or explode anyone by accident any time soon. This had a limit to how much could be used. But how often did it refill? Did it refill at all? The answer was pretty obvious to Morgan; yes. Yes it did, but they would have to figure out at what intervals it did such. They decided to slow their roll for now, for today, and try this again probably tomorrow. They'd see if the amount of magic available to them was the same tomorrow, or if it had refilled. Perhaps there would be more? Probably not.

The strange 'knowing' feeling didn't go away that evening after the classes they had to take, and suddenly they had ALL KINDS of new ideas for inventions. Morgan was practically scrambling trying to get the designs down before they just... Disappeared, back wherever they came from. The human stayed up all night bent over their blueprints, scribbling and marking down and using fancy instruments to mark down exact to scale measurements. They fell asleep, face against the desk, and woke up in both a pile of spit and a pile of blueprints. They could hardly understand any of them whenever they woke up; which either told them that they had lost their mind yesterday, or perhaps that spell had worn off. They just felt tired, and creaky. Morgan moved over to the bed and went back to sleep.
The sun came up the next morning; and it was time to do it all again, with the feeding the creatures, and trying to speak with Millicent. Luckily, it went by more Speedily.

Busy, busy, busy. The day was horrifically busy, and Morgan felt not only that day, but several of the next few days pass by as if they had never really been separate at all. Morgan couldn't help but realize that all of the magic training they were doing felt like only a little each day. It would seem that whatever magic force was within them did indeed do at least a little refilling each day, but Morgan was afraid to exhaust it during the day to see if it would all return the next day. What if it didn't come back? The powerful feeling that came with actually being this... Elemental that they were. Some days they felt more at odds with the strange humming magic, but more and more they began to be able to feel the hum in daily life. The electricity in the walls, and in an icky manner that made Morgan's skin crawl, tactile sensation over acidic compounds despite steering clear of them.

Morgan had always been a little ill, since they were a youngster, and they still knew that they should stay away from anything that may be infectious or otherwise wounding due to that, poisons had always been a little more harsh on Morgan than on others. However, they felt somewhere within them, oddly enough not within their head, that felt a little attuned to this strange thing. One of the first few things Morgan had noticed after swallowing the node was that they weren't really... Shocked by accident by the appliances in the house anymore. It was hardly more than a singular buzz, nothing vaguely harmful about such things. It was definitely part of the chaos node's strange effects, but why would chaos have anything to do with electricity? The research that Morgan had to do to figure that one out felt obvious afterwards and made Morgan embarrassed to have not quite understood naturally.

Of course it made at least tangential sense. Apparently things that were 'orderly' by humanoid standards; like ice (in the cubical glory) or the mind (which was just... No as far as Morgan was concerned) were things of the supposed 'goddess', the primeval element of Order. The things that were supposedly the opposite of those things like the electrical plasma influence of shock, or perhaps the goopy, reduction quality of acid or poison, were considered the domain of Order's husband Chaos. That whole typical dumb 'opposites attract' notion that seemed to make humanoids excited seemed to have bled over into the myth, which was what gave Morgan pause. Just because chaos was apparently some sort of supposedly 'magical' (Morgan was sure it was just science that wasn't understood well yet) force didn't mean that it had any kind of deity. The ideas were just too delineated for Morgan to be at all convinced despite their Node-creation experience.

Morgan tried not to think of it, often. They hardly remembered much of it, anyway, but the parts that they remembered for sure made their skin crawl. The main thing that Morgan remembered was holding that greenish dagger; the one that had definitely been used without being cleaned several times. It was disgusting; Morgan hated holding unclean things, let alone things they knew for a fact had other folks' bodily fluids on them. Absolutely disgusting. Of course, that was a little less disorienting than feeling... Like there was something else there, let alone something else that felt like it stole something from inside Morgan; power perhaps. The walls of the temple would have lead one to believing that it was actually some sort of soul-taking. Morgan didn't really believe in souls, not really. It had to be some mysticized version of something scientific. It was the only thing that made sense!
Morgan practiced again, that day, the magic flowing much more easily, now that they were understanding the basics.

The bespectacled human had finally decided to try to run theirself out of 'magic' that day, to see if it returned the next day. They'd been avoiding it, but after trying to unravel the mystery of the thing, they decided out of frustration to just try it. It wasn't like anything bad would happen if it did take a little bit longer to return, and even if it didn't return at all. Morgan wouldn't really feel the loss, never completely. So they stood in the yard and played, figuring out what they could do with the magic and pushing the envelope without doing anything dangerous to anything past Morgan's own body, and finally they felt 'empty'. Out. Yeah, no more magic, at least today. The exhaustion rolled over Morgan like a fog. They went to bed early, that day, since they couldn't manage to keep from feeling overly exhausted even bodily. How strange, they thought.
