Tinker's Trinkets (Buying)

Vixen stood next to her saddled Chiryma, wrinkling her nose at the scrap metal shop. She'd never been here before, never had a need to- the concept of TRODs sketched her out, and she was equally put off by mechanical creatures. She had a fundamental disconnect from robots. Manufactured emotions, complex codes made to mimic a soul, as if such a thing was possible- how absurd. Despite this prejudice, she was intrigued by the whispering she'd heard of Tinker's Trinkets' newest additions. Assistants, not pretending to be animals, without shoving a chip in her brain? Deal! Resolved, Vixen looped June's reins to a post to secure him and passed through the gear-decorated door frame.
Doing so revealed the well-lit shop to her, and for a moment she was blinded by all of the high-tech, polished gadgets around her. When she saw the TROD milling about, she startled a bit, having initially skimmed over it by lumping it in with the rest of the inventory. Is there a real shopkeep here? I hate talking to metal suits... She frowned slightly and began to wander the store, arms crossed in her feelings of awkwardness. Vixen was, truthfully, rather electronically ignorant, leaving her feeling out of place here. She was drawn to a large display, boasting new products- the PAD and CAD. Leaning down, she squinted at the price tags- 200c each? Not as terrible as she thought... She read the descriptions offered, sighing a bit in disappointment as she noticed that the combat assistant was designed specifically for humanoid attacks- she'd had visions of using it to help train creatures in some ways... though there were plenty of ways it could still help, and frankly, she needed some combat help herself. She didn't want to bother Ashe with it, and Alex was gone (thankfully, to tell the truth). Still, 400c for the pair was nothing to snort at... perhaps she could negotiate. She had almost resolved to ask for assistance when she was distracted by the blinding gleam of upgraded TRODs.
Weird things... She squinted at them, lost in thought. Why couldn't they make a pet combat assistance like that, WITHOUT the weird brain chips? She approached them, slowly taking in their sleek metal forms. Apparently they're useful... and these ones can be worn like suits of armor... and they fly, I think... they can do what I was hoping that CAD would do... Could just get the CAD, ditch the PAD and do my own damn laundry, and have to spend 250c more... She shook her head. But a brain thing?... I don't trust that shit... Vixen exhaled sharply, visibly torn.
