Renathan wasn't sure if he was completely coming to terms with it when he made it to the other side of the street, where there wasn't even a sidewalk built. Renathan tried not to be angry. He had to let this go. He looked up, trying to catch sight of that poor equillion, but it was no where to be seen now. Renathan wasn't sure if he was thankful, or super upset about that. The poor thing; maybe Renathan could- But no. Renathan was here for a young kid with a sick pup. He needed to get that done first, and then maybe go and see about that issue over there. That was what he was going to have to do, yes. Just trying to keep himself together was taking far more energy than he thought that he'd need. He really wanted to just burn the whole thing down. But that wouldn't really help anyone.

That was the issue that Renathan had. It was hard to believe that there were things like this even in the Labs City, though he guessed in made sense. Pethia had a wide variety of different cultures that were, for some reason, at different levels of technology, and no one group tended to try to get the technology advancements of the other. Perhaps it was the wide differences between the landscape's climates, and the needs of the people to survive in those climates. Renathan shook his head, and started looking for the numbers at the tops of the houses. He needed... He glanced down at the note. Ah, this one. Renathan stepped up to one of the little shacks, and realized that he would have to lean up to even knock on the door; the porch was just about ready to cave in. Renathan would have to be careful... He rapped the door with his knuckles carefully.

It didn't take long for the door to open up, and Renathan stayed outside of it respectfully as he spoke to the older gentleman that opened the door. "Hello, I'm here to see what the matter is with... Uh, Poppy I think?" He glanced down at the scraplet of paper, and the man went from being guarded to mainly tired looking. He raised his hand, and told Renathan to stay there, and of course Renathan had no need to actually come in. In fact, he didn't really want to. He stood there feeling anxious, though, and finally the man came back, holding the hand of a young girl that very obviously had his nose. She was humanish, however, whereas he was probably mostly human. His nose had a distinctive bump in it that she also had, and he knew that these things tended to pass down. The little girl was holding a tiny rakai pup in her arms.

Ah, so that made sense! Renathan realized pretty quickly what was wrong with the pup. He had his leg held in a slightly funny way, and it was indeed a little swollen. Renathan nodded to the elder gentleman, and held out his arms carefully. "I'll take Poppy to a healer, and get 'em fixed up for free. I'll be right back, if that is something you two are okay with." Renathan said, looking a little embarrassed. He wouldn't blame them for not allowing him to take Poppy, but he knew that the pup would be better taken care of if he went and did it himself. The little girl held Poppy close to her chest, but the elder gentleman gently patted her on the hair and said to her; "It'll be fine, Mio." [/b] At that, the little girl reluctantly handed Poppy to Renathan, who held the pup as if it might break before leaving for the healer's. [19][/div]

It wasn't an hour later, and Renathan was on his way back to the house. Poppy was doing better now, just resting now that the bone had been set and healed over properly. Renathan usually preferred to take his creatures to a vet first, but Poppy wasn't his, and it looked to be in pain. Now, Poppy seemed to be doing much better, just sleepy. It didn't seem to take as long for Renathan now to get back to the little crumbling street and walk up to the door. He rapped on it with his knuckles again, and when the door opened, the elder gentleman leaned out and took the pup carefully, and then handed it to the little girl. She excitedly held the little thing, kissing it on the head, and Renathan turned to take his leave. 'Thanks.' The elder gentleman said, sounding a little at a loss. Renathan waved them off.
He wanted to go look for that poor equillion and see if he couldn't get it some feed first.
