Silver continued beaming, positive they had just made a friend with their cool little magic trick. She did look at lot better, too, at least they seemed to think so. Maybe they just wanted that to be true. Their ears, previously pinned to the side of their head in caution, now perked up and accentuated their grin. The ghostly fox did not at all seem amused, and she quickly ducked back into their hair. It was easy to find her once someone knew she was there, but she still went back into 'hiding' anyway.
"I am glad," they said, as if that weren't obvious by the goofy look in their face. "I mean you no harm, and I do not think Cepe does, either. He probably just wants to be scratched. His mushrooms have come into season, you see, and they are very itchy and are bound to fall off." They leaned down and picked up a few off the ground to emphasize their point. Cepe nudged Silver gently with his huge head, trying to con some scratches out of them while they were distracted.
"If I'm honest," they said, "I am just following Cepe around. I was doing some maintenance on my flower bed before, but Cepe wanted to explore, so I went with him." Well now that they said it out loud, it sounded silly.

Fiera watched as the other humanish relaxed a bit. She supposed anyone would after thinking that their pet had nearly killed someone. She had to admit, though. Giant lizards were gross (the irony of the fact that she was lugging one around as well was completely lost on her). Mushrooms were gross. Lizards that were shedding giant mushrooms? Disgusting. She would definitely be keeping her distance from this Cepe brute. She eyed the beast nervously, then looked at Silver again, finally tuning to what they were actually saying. "Oh, so... your garden isn't around here?" She said sweetly, the rest of the tension dropping from her shoulders. Today was not the day she would get in trouble for encroaching on others' garden plots. "What brought you all the way over here then, mis... mist... I'm sorry dear, what did you say your name was again?" Fiera said, fluttering her eyelashes at the intruder.

This was about to get awkward, wasn't it? Well, Silver was used to dealing with things being awkward. The amount of fences they regularly ignored (or even hopped over) was pretty high, so they were used to explaining why they were wandering around someone else's property. It was still a little bit weird every time, though.
"... no, I don't think so," they answered after a brief pause to think about it. They actually had no idea where they were, but Zii wasn't freaking out and nobody had tried to stab them, so they were probably fine. That is, so long as this person they met continued not trying to stab them.
Silver was pretty sure they hadn't said their name yet, but they understood what she was asking anyway. They took no notice to her attempt at settling on a title to refer to them by. "Silver, my name is Silver, and yours?" Why did they always forget to ask people their names? Was that a thing they were supposed to do right away? Well, he supposed that huge lizards chasing people down did tend to get in the way of stuff like that. Speaking of, Cepe had been oddly still for far too long. Silver glanced over their shoulder to make sure he wasn't getting into anything.

They didn't think so? Gods, what an airhead. Still, this person seemed... pretty easily won over. A real sucker. Fiera bet she could work with this. "Fiera Ferella, a pleasure to meet you." She said with a purr, offering one delicately clawed hand hand. At least she did until she realized that this person wasn't even looking at her- what gives! Was she not- she followed Silver's gaze over to their giant lizard thing. Sure enough, Lincoln was sitting next to it, making small honking noises as he sniffed it. No doubt it was strange to the lamadidron, despite the rough similarities between the pair in terms of size and shape.
"Hey hey, don't touch that, Lincoln." She said, marching over to her pet. "You don't know where it's been!" Lincoln resisted though, leaning even further toward the mussimander, honking even louder in curiosity. "Seriously?" Fiera said, pulling on his plates while being completely ignored by her pet. "I swear to the gods Lincoln, if you don't back off you're getting no num-nums tonight. You hear me? NO num-nums." Despite the horrifying threat however, her stubborn beast remained unmoved.

Silver would have shaken her hand, but they noticed far too late that she was offering it. It was by far not their first social faux pas in this conversation, so they let it go. They were far too busy watching Cepe and the Lamididron now. They frowned slightly, hoping that the other weird lizard didn't have an issue with Cepe. They would really rather not break up a fight if they didn't have to.
Cepe was a sweet and simple creature, and he was confused yet amused by Lincoln. He tilted his head one way, then the other, as if flapping his big ears around would make him understand what Lincoln was trying to 'say'. Mussimander didn't make much noise, so he waved his tail and scratched at the ground a bit. Hopefully his body language would successfully imply that he wasn't making a threat. If the yellow rock-lizard decided to fight him anyway, he would just have to eat him, yup.
"Cepe," Silver said softly but sternly. They had spent some time together now, so Cepe was receptive to Silver's 'boss' voice. He stopped pawing the ground and moved his bright green eyes from one creature to the next. He was starting to get overwhelmed with the amount of stuff going on. Silver's mismatched eyes, however, were fixed closely on Fiera as they waited to see if she could get her creature under control.

Lincoln started crackling with electricity as Cepe moved even more, sparks dancing across his hide as he became clearly irritated by this big flappy thing. Fiera felt her hair stand on end due to the sparks as she attempted to drag him off, and hissed into his ear. "Lincoln, NO." She said firmly, and the lamadidron's ear flicked as he thought it over. Finally... he huffed and turned away, clearly finding this creature not worth the energy. Fiera sighed with relief, releasing her grip on the lamadidron. She quickly scuttled over to the front gate of her garden, letting him retreat into it before turning back to Silver. "That uh...Cepe thing sure does like to stick its nose where it doesn't belong, huh? Lincoln was just minding his own business." She said, leaning against the fence. "What IS that thing, anyway?" She continued casually, gesturing at Cepe's... everything. "Some sort of laredo?"

Silver didn't have any Lamadidron, but they knew what a creature making a threat looked like, and the added sparks didn't help his case any. They jumped in front of Cepe, putting themselves between him and Lincoln. The look on their face suggested that they would be willing to take a hit for Cepe if they had to. They took a few dramatic steps backwards, causing Cepe behind them to step back as well.
They opened their mouth as if they were about to say something, but the Lamadidron did finally back off. Fiera wasn't as bad of a creature keeper as they were expecting. They decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that, just the same way Cepe knocked her over earlier, Lincoln's little outburst wasn't a measure of her abilities as a trainer. That was, until she tossed a passive insult at Cepe. It made Silver feel defensive of their creature, but they wanted to keep the peace so they didn't say anything at first.
"Cepe is a Mussimander," Silver explained. "I don't know why he's so big, but I found him a long time ago..." Maybe at one time Silver knew where Cepe came from and what caused his overgrowth. An experiment? A potion gone awry? They couldn't remember, and they didn't know anyone who did.
"Mussimander are usually quite small, though," they explained after a brief pause. They held their hands about a foot apart to demonstrate the size a typical one was.

"A mussimander, huh?" Fiera said, scratching Lincoln's head from over the fence. Of course NOW he wanted to be affectionate, the jerk. "That's... OH. Oh wait yeah, I know what those are. They sell those at the uhhh, plant shop, right?" She said, the connection finally clicking. No wonder she hadn't recognized the creature at first- the ones she had seen before were all smaller than your average house cat, and certainly nowhere near the size it would take to knock someone over. "Dang, I wonder if someone fed him one of those, uhhh, whatcha call it. Giant growth potions? Didn't think they made pets get THAT big though, ha." She chuckled. This person didn't seem half bad, if she was being honest. It was nice having some company. She creaked open the front gate of her garden, and for once Lincoln stayed put.
"So, you gonna come in? Might as well check out the only patch of dirt worth looking at around here, eh?" She said, flicking her tail in the direction of her garden.

Silver did sometimes wonder where some of their stranger creatures came from. Sometimes they actually remembered, or in some cases the creature itself could even explain it to them, but most of the time they had no idea. The labs did a lot of experiments, sure, but some of the stuff they'd seen couldn't even be explained by that. Plus, Mussimnader in particular didn't even come from the labs. As Fiera said just before, 'the plant shop' sold them. Did they get it from Alura? Maybe some day they would remember to ask, and if they were lucky, she would have an answer.
"Yea I don't know what happened to him, he was like this when I got him," Silver explained. They wondered if Fiera had a point about those giant growth potions. Maybe Cepe was an early experiment? Wasn't it Alura that made those, too? Silver's head started to hurt thinking about it, so they were happy to change the subject.
He rubbed Cepe's head to make sure he was actually calm after the little ordeal. He didn't seem bothered, which was typical for him. Neither Fiera or her giant spark lizard seemed threatening at the moment, so they were happy to accept her offer.
"Sure, I'd love to," they said with a nod. They kept Cepe close to them so that there weren't any other 'incidents'.

Fiera gave a sweeping gesture to her garden. There was a little white gravel path leading in, crunching pleasantly beneath one's feet. The path was edged on either side with little decorated metal loops, not high enough to form a barricade but high enough that you would probably trip over them if you weren't looking. Beyond those on either side were beds of freshly tilled and weeded earth. There was likely flower beds there in the spring, but for the time being they were a little bare. And finally on either side were young sapling trees, still held upright with ropes staked into the ground to keep them from growing in at odd angles. Beyond that, the path turned away, hiding whatever lay further in. "I realize it's not much to look at right now," Fiera said, puffing out her chest. "But when spring hits, I daresay that this is the prettiest garden in the plots."

Silver rather liked gardens, and they were more than happy to have a look around hers. It was really refreshing to see a tamed plot of land after all the time they spend wandering around abandoned areas. Even their own garden had overgrown during the summer, and wilted back over the winter. It was a sad state that they really wanted to do something about, but then Cepe went wandering off, and...
"It's lovely," Silver said with a nod and a smile. Clearly she was proud of it, so they offered her a compliment. Then they weren't really sure what to say next. Were they supposed to say something about one of the trees or the nice path or something? Silver wasn't very good at thinking of things to say to people, so they just stayed quiet for now.
Cepe wanted to explore a little more, but he was still afraid of the scary lady and her big lizard. He pinned himself to Silver's side and sniffed at the grasses and small sprouts around. If only he could find a nice butterfly to munch on. That would be delightful.

Fiera stood there a moment, waiting for the compliments to wash over her. "It's lovely..." ...And? Was that it? That's all this person had in them? What was the point of bringing someone into your garden if they weren't going to heap lavish praise upon you! How rude! Well, she'd sure show them. This wasn't all her garden had to offer, after all. "...Thank you!" Fiera said after a pause that was just a little too long. Hopefully Silver wouldn't notice. "This is just the entrance though. It's much better further in. I'd be happy to show you around if you'd like." She glanced at Cepe, who was sniffing around. That thing had better not eat any of her plants. She thought this, of course, while Lincoln was sitting just behind her while eating her plants. "...And I'm sure it would help your pet get some of it's energy out, eh?" She said.
