"Yes Bubbles, you're very helpful." She said with slight amusement, and the houluh sneezed onto her leg in return. Fiera managed to finish getting the roots and old plant matter out, tossing the remains into a garbage bag she had nearby. Whew- that left her with a nice and freshened basket of soil, perfect for the new flowers. She scooped soil from the sides inward, looking to even out the levels for now, at least until she had selected a flower. But... what was that? She froze and dug back through one side of the basket. There was a... can in there? It was some sort of garbage at the very least, certainly not part of the basket or any plant life she had ever seen. She plucked it out, sneering at the offending object. Who threw garbage into a hanging plant basket? It was ten feet up in the air!

She looked around, trying to figure out how it had gotten in there. The basket really was high up... and now that she looked at it, the offending object was not a can, such as the kind you'd drink soda out of, but a more plastic container. It looked a bit like a pill bottle, now that she thought of it. Had someone been hiding drugs in her garden or something? Rotating it in her hand, she realized that the battered plastic container had a worn label on it. It was also... vibrating. Or something like that. Fiera didn't really know how to explain it, but it definitely seemed like there was some sort of movement inside of it. Well, that was bizarre. She had never heard of any drug that MOVED, that was for sure. Fiera squinted at the faded label, trying to decipher what this could possibly be.

The text was in some sort of antiquated font, certainly speaking to the age of whatever this thing was. Jar of... lo-something? Fiera scoured her brain for what that could mean. Lo... lo... lomites? Suddenly, the knowledge of what exactly she was holding struck Fiera all at once. This was a jar of lomites! She had heard about these. They were quite rare items that had been out of production for years now, with the only unopened samples being ones that had been abandoned in the gardens ages ago. When opened, they contained entirely unique creatures, some quick fix from the labs. The little critter contained within (which she now realized was the source of the movement scratching outward from the interior of the jar) was quite useful in lotine breedings, though their rarity meant that their exact effects were still unknown. This was quite the find! Fiera stood up. Gardening could wait. This, she needed to investigate.

Icarus was... an angry creature. Fiera had tried training sessions with him before, but the harachiu just wasn't having it. He was a very pretty creature, that was for sure. He had inherited the long, thick hair of his issen parent, but with smoky black skin and soulful brown eyes. Pale wings fluttered behind him, but... he wasn't a happy creature. Fiera had bought him off of the market- she couldn't NOT. It was strange for her, to see a sapient creature put up for sale like a plain animal. She felt an urge to... rescue them, so to speak. And yet, Icarus didn't seem the least part grateful. She couldn't really blame him, as getting bought and sold like a thing wasn't pleasant. She was probably just the next face in a long, long line of them. Hardly a haloed perfect savior to end his eternal strife or something like that. Fiera 1 Icarus 1.1/1.1 1

She tried putting him with her other harachiu: Amber, Alice, and Desiree, but it soon turned out that he'd lash out at anyone, not just Fiera. After a week, the other fairies refused to have anything to do with him anymore, staying as far away from him in the common rooms as possible. Which usually worked out well, as he'd try to stay as far away from them as possible as well. Fiera eventually had to isolate him for everyone's safety, but she knew that that was just as poor a solution. The poor harachiu needed some socialization and love, but from someone that he couldn't possibly beat up. Not that he wasn't trying, of course. She had him tucked up in his arm, and he was trying as hard as he could to batter her chest with his tiny fists. He had been screaming before as well, but he seemed to have worn himself out for the most part.

Fiera was hoping he didn't get TOO worn out before they arrived, however. After all, she wanted him to be able to enjoy himself today on some level. She was bringing him to the gardens as a sort of peace offering. For Fiera, her gardens were a quite blissful, calming place, and perhaps some of that would spread to her harachiu. Even if it didn't though, the worst that he could do was destroy some plants. Perhaps the destruction would be cathartic to him in a way, allowing him to demonstrate control over SOME part of his life. Still, Fiera was hoping that he'd react a bit differently from that. With any luck, he'd find it constructive in a way, being able to help and build something. A form of control, but something more creative, more healing, and not entirely reliant on Fiera to do. She'd just have to wait and find out.

By the time Fiera reached the front gate of her garden, Icarus had 'calmed' in a still but frothing anger, his arms crossed tight against the front of his body. "Oh don't be such a grouch, we're nearly there." Fiera chided gently, even though she knew he couldn't necessarily understand her. Still, she hoped he understood the tone of voice. The well oiled white picket gate opened smoothly and closed silently behind her, and Fiera immediately made a beeline for the tool shed. She doubted that Icarus would be able to hold very many of the tools (They were designed for a creature her size, after all), but it might make him feel better to be entrusted with a sharp metal object. At the very least, she figured he couldn't do much damage with a trowel. Hopefully. She quickly hopped off the gravel pathway toward where she knew the tool shed was hidden.

A bit of a push through some trees (which were quite green and lush by now- Fiera hardly missed the winter.) and the humanish arrived at the tool shed, sitting plainly behind the foliage. The ivy she had planted to grow over it had come in quite well, and helped to further hide the structure. As she went to open the door, Icarus reached out a tiny hand to grab at it. "Oh, you like that?" She said, glancing at it. "Here, you can play with it for a bit while I get some things." Fiera said, and placed the harachiu on top of the shed. To her slight distaste, he immediately began plucking leaves off of the vines and throwing them off of the side of the shed, grunting with effort as each leaf fluttered about three inches away from his hand after throwing it, only to fall gently to the ground.

Fiera tried not to chuckle at his efforts of destruction, though she did hope he didn't completely strip the roof of the shed by the time she came back out. Still, she didn't think the damage would be TOO great. He was just a little thing, after all. After making sure he wasn't about to fall off the roof, Fiera went into the shed and began loading some tools into her backpack. She didn't have anything too intensive to do today. All of the rough tasks from the start of spring had been handled already. The flowers were planted, the dead plants from winter cleared away, and any rocks that made their way into her garden over the cold months had been picked up and thrown elsewhere. All she really had to do today was maintain what she had, whether it was watering existing plants or pulling up some weeds.

A couple of trowels and hand rakes, a bit of fertilizer for good measure, but not too much. She didn't want to overdo it, after all. When she had everything, Fiera zipped up her backpack and hefted it back on her back. "Right, all ready. Icarus, I hope you're all done up there!" She trilled happily and opened the shed door. The humanish stepped blinking into the light, once again marvelling at the perfect temperature of the spring air. There was even a soft breeze, just for freshness. "It's lovely, isn't it? Ready to go pull some weeds, Icarus?" She said, turning to the shed. She didn't see him on that side of the roof though, and paced around to the other side... and still didn't see the harachiu. He wasn't on the roof at all, and judging from the fact that the ivy was barely damaged, he hadn't been there for a while.

"Oh, CRAP." Fiera said, and she said some other very rude words as well. She whipped around, the fur on her tail sticking straight up. He shouldn't have been able to jump off of the shed, it was too tall. He definitely didn't know how to fly either, not yet. But... he could probably climb down the side, using the ivy as a mix between a rope and a ladder. From there it would be perfectly easy for him to run off anywhere in the garden. She looked all through the surrounding bushes, but it was clear that Icarus was gone. "Oh no, no no." Fiera groaned loudly, rubbing her temples. Fine. This was fine. She could fix this. He was a very small fairy, which would make him hard to find, but she was pretty sure he couldn't get out of the garden. Probably. If she was overwhelmingly lucky.

After all, Fiera had quite a tall fence around her garden, and it didn't have a gap under it. Not to mention it was too tall and slippery for him to climb. And yet... she kept thinking of scenarios. Perhaps the fence was too slipper to climb, but trees weren't. He could probably glide right over the fence. Or even though his hands were small, with enough time he could dig a hole under it. Goodness knew the soil was soft enough for that around here. Fiera yanked on her ears. Getting all wishy-washy over this wasn't helping- she needed to take action and find her ward before something horrible happened- like him running away for good. After all, she knew that her own home was a FAR better place for him to be than on the street, no matter what he believed. At the very least, there were no predators there.

Not to mention, there were plenty of individuals around the labs looking to make a quick buck. A stunning looking harachiu like Icarus? He would be snapped up in a heartbeat, and sold off to someone much less discerning. And then they would BOTH be out of luck. Fiera groaned and gripped her backpack tighter. She couldn't waste any more time, she had to find him before it was too late, even if he didn't want to be found. She bit her tongue though, making the decision to stay silent while looking for him. Icarus didn't know his name for one- she hadn't taught him anything yet as he was too uncooperative. Not to mention he. You know. Hated her. Calling his name would, as a result, only drive him away further, and that was the last thing that Fiera needed. So she would have to hunt him down, just like she did her enemies in her younger days.
