This was apparently the place, Nerius had heard about a shop that took trades instead of credits, unusual at the Labs. Barter wasn't uncommon in many places, but here it would likely get you an odd look, and tossed out of the shop. The outside was a bit of a mess, compared to other shops, but on actually entering, it didn't seem to be from poor business. The shop wasn't lacking in wares, if anything it had more variety than some of the 'tidier' shops.
Where to start? He hadn't come seeking any particular item, from what he'd heard stock frequently changed, and just about anything could be found there. Nerius spotted a lot of garden harvests, and a surprising amount of fish, of all things, and, crystals. Not the magical kind, he couldn't sense any in the shop, but possibly even more unusual to find. He was definitely interested in the mind crystals, but the issue with a no credit shop was that price could be hard to figure. All he could find was a vague message about stone, well, he had some lava rocks, not the flashiest stone, but some people found them valuable. Offering out the lava rocks, Nerius asked, "Would you be interested in these in exchange for the mind crystals?"
The Trader raised a brow under his cloak and then nodded and selected two of the crystals and placed them on the counter. He then waited for the rocks to be placed on the counter so he knew the offer was genuine.
He seemed to be interested in the trade, that was good. Nerius honestly hadn't been sure lava rocks would be all that appealing, but they were popular in landscaping, so they had some value to people. He hadn't been planning on doing any landscaping, or anything really, with his, they'd just been sitting in storage since he'd dug them up.
So really, he had no reservations about setting the rocks on the counter, a short distance from the crystals. They were much larger than the pink stones, and had been a bit clunky to carry around. Though, his selection of potential trade goods was limited, he had a lot from the mines, but little from elsewhere, a small garden harvest, and a few mansion trinkets. He wasn't quite sure what to do now, it felt like it would be rude to just take the crystals, so he just waited to see what the trader would do after the lava rocks were set down.
The Trader looked over the stones one last time before nodding and lifting his hand off of the crystals, pushing them toward the man and then taking the rocks he had been traded and arranging them on a nearby shelf. The transaction had concluded, the man was free to go.
