Renathan had been planning this for a while, or at least, had been planning this with the kid for a while. However, he'd been horrifically busy and it was honestly not on the absolute tip top of his most important tasks list. However, he now had time to get this done today, and it would seem that the kid had a few hours today too. He made it there first and wasn't really shocked about it. He was, after all, much more mature than the kid was. He snorted at that thought, and held Brigit's birdcage beneath his arm. She wasn't trained anything at all, but she was quite stunning. Renathan hadn't really had time to work with her like he had Auburn, but that wasn't really her purpose anyway. Renathan went ahead and signed in, and then found himself in the rented room, holding the birdcage in one arm and the two serums in his opposite hand in a satchel. Well, now to wait on the kid... Hopefully that wouldn't take too long. [Renathan is using Sever Bond]

This was Morgan's fault, but it didn't make them any less apprehensive about the process required. Morgan wanted to breed Pachinko; despite his partial training as a messenger, Pachinko just didn't take to training as well as some of the other creatures that Morgan had. The idea was to breed him and see if they could manage to produce an offspring that trained a little better, but Morgan already knew that it was a long shot. For one, the best way to produce traits that one liked in creatures was to breed parents that had those desirable traits, not... Randomly puppy mill a critter and hope for the best. However, Morgan had managed to secure a mate that was apparently much more driven by toys, as well as more focused. Hopefully that would help some. Morgan just didn't really know what to talk about with the jackalope whenever they got there. However, Morgan found theirself in the room anyway, about three minutes late, standing there with Pachinko on their arm feeling about half nervous and half annoyed.

Renathan was fairly quiet, of course until the kid got there. Renathan was generally pretty decent with people, especially since his shop opened, and he had figured out about how to get even the quietest people talking. Still, he didn't feel completely comfortable being stuck in a room by himself with this stuck up kid; hopefully the pair would work out well and do their 'thing' pretty quick. "Hey kiddo, haven't seen you 'round the shop as much lately. Once the last week?" He said, tilting his head. Of course, it was 'holiday' time of year, so he hadn't seen much of a lot of people, but he just knew that business would boom in about a month when people got back from traveling. Renathan stepped over to take a look at the Izer that was brought by the kid. A rather pretty bird! "Oh he's lovely! Here's Brigit." He said, holding up the pyre izer with one hand. She was preening, and perhaps hadn't really noticed Pachinko yet.

Morgan enjoyed not really having to deal with being tied down by friendships, and they didn't really plan to change that now. So it was especially awkward for them to need to have a forced conversation with someone when this was really for a creature breeding. Morgan let Pachinko down on the ground and removed his leg tether. He was more comfortable than most birds would be on the ground, perhaps due to that Dragon-like customization. He just let his front legs down on the ground. Pachinko was immediately interested in the other Izer, not that Morgan was surprised. This wouldn't be too hard.
"Like I need to excuse m-myself for not having time to g-go to a coffee shop." It sounded spat out to anyone not really used to Morgan's... Whole thing. Still, there was something not quite hateful about it, more relaxed. "G-got a job, y'know." They took the moment to look over Brigit since the tall mammalian had thrust the cage practically into Morgan's face anyway. "Nice, g-great colors and all. 's she got any behavioral issues?" The bespectacled human asked, in a utilitarian fashion.

Admittedly, the combination of stuttering and labs-jargon common made Renathan pause and really have to listen for what the words meant. There were stresses on some syllables and missing or downplayed syllables from the dialect of common he learned originally but it wasn't too much. Renathan put his knuckles up against his hip on both sides anyway, arms akimbo, after sitting the cage down on the floor. "Come back whenever you like." He said, shaking his head. At this, he bent down and opened up the cage door to allow Brigit out into the room. "I can't imagine you working." He said, truthfully. Then he watched as Brigit found her a nice perch not too far away in the room.
"Nope, no behavioral issues. Actually, she's probably the most chill bird I've worked with. It makes Auburn look like a spazz, which she is sometimes." He admitted. "So, what's he like? He's a nice custom, but doesn't look too well trained." Ever the careful watcher, that Renathan.

Yeah, this was awkward, Morgan thought. They couldn't help but become a little more aware that yes, the door is right over there, and Morgan could just... Leave. Then again, this breeding needed to be done and well, Morgan was already here. It'd be a waste of time to bail out now because Morgan had a hard time talking to other folks. They decided to let his comment slide, but took the moment to watch as Pachinko tried and failed to catch the fiery lady's attention. Morgan suppressed a chuckle, but only barely, at Pachinko's incessant preening and raising his wings all showmanlike. It was a shame, Morgan had seen tons of people act like that in front of crushes.
"Well I can't imagine ya w-workin' either." Morgan shot back, grinning a tad. "Not much, anyway." Might as well banter a bit, if they had to endure this. "He's a bang-up messenger." Then a beat. "B-but he's more food motivated than toy motivated. With b-birds that eat fruits, that dun' work too well." A little defeat in their voice for a moment. "That and I c-could have been a little more... I dunno, with his colors." A real shame.

It seemed like this was going to be a torturous however long this took. Renathan had done several orbaru breedings with lots of other people in his time in the Labs, and he'd never had this much trouble keeping a basic conversation with anyone. However, he did enjoy quite a few of the more silent moments in his shop when he was working at the counter and the customers were being pretty quiet and doing their own thing. Besides, it wasn't like they were in any danger. They could spend enough time here to just wait for the izers to breed, and then they could leave and there wouldn't be any issues. "Welp, that happens sometimes. He's a nice looker though; what don't you like about him? I think his golden colors are nice, and those wings look really neat. Is he cloud-based?" Renathan asked.
Brigit wasn't giving him any attention on the surface, but Renathan could tell that she was looking over at the male through her peripheral vision. That was a good sign. She raised her wing up to her face and 'hid' behind the cyan colored tip.

Morgan may not have been prepared with a ton of talking points during this process, but they did read up on how Izer were supposed to perform courtship. Apparently it was mostly a 'plumage' related thing, so it wasn't surprising for Morgan to realize how Brigit hid behind her wingtips. They were really pretty, moving from color to color, starting with a gorgeous deep red and then fading down into that gold, thin line of green, and then cyan. She's quite vibrant, Morgan thought. "I uh-" Morgan said, rubbing the back of their neck as they tried to come up with a good lie. Then they sighed, put on the spot, and gave the truth. "My pops had it made fuh-from one of my childhood drawings... An uh, he's special but perhaps alittle... Harsh?" That sounded even dumber than it did when it went through Morgan's head, but it was the truth for what that was worth.
Pachinko was enamored by the brightly colored female. She was healthy, her colors so vibrant and shimmering. He blinked, and butted his horns gently against the leg of the chair she was sitting on the back of. Not enough to push it over, but trying to get her attention as she hid behind her wingtips.

Brigit was trying very hard to pretend like she wasn't paying attention to the male, but she certainly was. Renathan watched them, mostly to keep from paying too much attention to the kid since they seemed ill at ease. Being stuck in a breeding room with other people waiting on critters to breed was something Renathan was used to and prepared for, but it was obvious that this spoiled rich kid was in fact not used to such things. Renathan could remember a time whenever he had felt nervous about the breeding center. Sure, it was a mundane thing to him now that he'd spent such a long time breeding so many critters, but at first Renathan had not known what to expect and had found it quite weird.
"Ah, that makes sense. Well, the pair look nice, and seem like they aren't going to have any issues." Renathan holds the pair of injections in his hand. "We'll have to administer these soon."
From what Renathan could tell, the pair was a good match. They seemed to be reacting like most izers did when they were 'interested'.

Morgan was certainly not looking forward to giving Pachinko a shot. Honestly, Pachinko and all of their critters went to the vet often enough and though most of them hated shots they tended to take them with ease. The truth was that Morgan felt a little sick about needles. They made Morgan feel more than a little sick. They weren't the kind of person that would jump out of a third story window to get away from them, but they were generally nervous of them. Still, it had to be done and Morgan knew how to do it. In fact, they were sure that Pachinko wouldn't take a shot from someone he didn't know at all.
Morgan nodded, and then reached out a palm. "If you reckon they'll take o'course, I-I-I'll give Pachinko his. H-he's gonna be nervous." Their voice was perhaps a little too normal. None the wiser about the injection he was about to get, Pachinko's eyes were only for Brigit. After a moment, he shakes his butt and then hops up onto the chair, looking up at the female a little closer now.

The female watched after the golden male quietly for a moment, and then she turned away, starkly, raising her wings and flashing her tail at him. Red and golden, shimmering cyan all across. She knew that she was pretty, was quite confident, but what about him? She wasn't getting a good enough look at him. She cast her eyes across him, flipping her head back as birds are want to do when they have a longer neck, and tried to catch a good look at him. He was yellow, bright and fluffy. He didn't look normal at all!
Renathan chuckled as he watched the female ham it up. "Yeah, It'll take all right. That's just the way animals are." He had bred enough creatures after all. He offered one of the injections over to the kid with the pump towards them, carefully. He would find it easy enough to get this one into Brigit in a moment.

Morgan reached out and took the needle with a bit of masked trepidation. The quaver in their hand wasn't visible enough for others, they hoped. The needle felt a bit dead in their hands, and they hated it, however they had to do it, or this wouldn't work through. They cleared their throat, and turned around to watch Pachinko for a moment to try to catch their breath and keep theirself from feeling lightheaded. He was absolutely looking ridiculous, flapping his wings about and then tilting his head one way and then the other in an attempt to make him look apparently appealing to this here female. "Goodness, Pachinko, y-you're a mess." Morgan complained at him, and then they pushed theirself forward to grab Pachinko for just a moment. They knew how to do it; having been taught by the vets over a time to help.
Just behind the muscle here and... THERE. All done. Morgan capped the injection and breathed out a sigh of relief. Geeze, Morgan hated these things.

Renathan wasn't even going to question why but he did notice that the other individual seemed to have a particular dislike of needles. Sure, he didn't particularly 'like' them or anything, but he didn't hate them either. They were a method of getting things done, and that was it. A vehicle for serums and the like to enter the form of a being, and nothing more. Renathan turned his back on the individual and turned towards Brigit. "Alrighty little lady, we gotta get you fixed up." He said, voice soothing. He had a way with his creatures, after all. The bird wasn't even remotely nervous as he gently injected a large muscle on her with the serum, and then removed it quickly, not even causing a bead of blood to drip out. He was pretty decent enough at this.
Then he turned around and capped the injection. "Well, we've got that out of the way, at least."

Morgan was a little spaced out for a second, but the jackalope's voice broke through their reverie enough to snap them out of it. Morgan quickly turns and sits the now empty injection that was also now capped on a nearby table, and then tried to take a few steps away from it but in a low key way to hide that they were nervous about it. Dang, being around other people was tiring, but necessary. "How long d-d'ya think it will take for those to take?" Morgan said, watching as Pachinko shook his feathers out a bit and began preening through the fluff on his body. After a moment or two, Morgan's eyes were drawn to the female instead. She certainly was quite pretty, Morgan had never actually seen a Pyre Izer up close. They'd seen pictures of them, but they couldn't really capture the dainty colors of the real deal.
