Current Quest
*Equipment currently in Possession*None ‘There sure are a lot of people here this month.’ He thinks while starting to frown as he can see from a distance the board with all the quests posted up on it is clustered with people. He isn’t even certain if he can squirm his way inside that group when they are so tightly clustered together. ‘What even has them going so crazy this month to make it almost become a pushing and shoving competition to get themselves as close to the board as possible?’ He grimaces when one of them got shoved into the board and get his face smushed against it. He very much doubts that one is going to be reading the quests on the board that way. Nor does he feel like he wants the same happening to him as well. Still, he did come here for a quest. There should at least be a certain point in time that the people here have gotten their fill on seeing all the quests and taking one for themselves.

Leaning against the wall, still close to the quest board, but not so close that he would be in the way of those determined to push themselves through, he wonders how long it will take for the people to be done with it. The way they are going at it seems to make it look like an endless sequence on repeat as every time a person leaves, another two easily take their place. ‘What type of quests are there even posted on the board? A few easy ones? A few with a very valuable reward?’ He muses on what it could be, but something broke his thoughts while staring at the group in front of him, one person instead of making their way to the front of the board decided to walk around the crowd and go to the back of the board. He couldn’t see if there might be other people there as well, but it piqued his interest.

‘Perhaps there might be quests posted on the back of the board as well?’ If that is the case, then he hopefully wouldn’t need to push through the crowd just to see what type of quest he could take this month. Hoping no one else noticed it, he slowly makes his way around the crowd as well, wondering what he would find there. He did ended up getting pushed by one as they left the crowd, but that person didn’t even seemed to have noticed as they left. He huffs slightly at that as he finally gets closer to his destination and sees the person that first caught his attention leaning against the board without any type of quests being posted on there. Seems he might have made a mistake then in thinking there might have been something there. Still, the curious thing about the person is that their face has an androgynous appearance.

He can’t quite tell from appearance alone on what their true gender might be. The purple hair might be dyed or they could have a bit of humanish blood in them, and the blue eyes seem normal enough even if they reminds him of the sea when storms are coming, while their cloths are rather flashy in a way as well for wearing a black cloak with silver dots that reminds him of stars. It still isn’t enough for him to truly say what or who he is dealing with. “I've got a dealio for you- if you are willing to hear me out.” He hears them say, and something in the tone makes him lean back just a tad. Even if he doesn’t know quite why yet. Still, this person got a quest as well? It might be worth it to hear them out he supposes. “And what may that be?” He says a few seconds later as he stares at the strange fellow.

“See, I'm looking for someone to, ah- locate an object for me..." He raises one eye brow at seeing the other smirking so blatantly. "This object is... Well, I've got an idea of who has it. But don't worry about that, see; it belongs to me. I simply... Lost it." This doesn’t exactly sound like something he should be dealing with, a bit too fishy for him. But when he thinks about how long it would take to try and muscle his way through the crowd for another quest should there be any left, he doesn’t see much of an option for it either. He could perhaps at least try and check out what exactly the situation is. The cards they flash and play with in their hand doesn’t put him much at ease either, he didn’t think he saw them playing with it a moment ago. “Whatdya say? If you accept, I can be sure to get you something real good.” He holds back from snorting at that last comment, whatever the reward could be it always depends on the receiver if they agree with that sentiment or not. Still, when he sees from the deck of card the slip of paper with the official quest seal and what might be the rest of the information on this quest. He slowly took it out of deck of cards that got presented to him. “Contact the agency when you’re ready yeah? I’ll see yah, when you’ve got it.” And just like that, with a wink towards him they walk away, disappearing in the crowd. At least they did make sure to have that all the important info is on the slip of paper at least.

The following day he went looking for this ‘George Girron’ person, he didn’t take along Taka or Rayak with him yet, not when it is mostly scouting ahead first on where this person could be located. He only had the name of this person and the name of the tavern this supposed person owns, and only a vague mention of cards as the object the requester is looking for. He wonders what is so special about those cards that they can’t get any new ones, or make them on their own? Would they have some pretty fond memories of them perhaps that they want it back so badly? Frowning at the thought, he didn’t think that could be it quite yet, but he decides to push it out of his mind. What is important right now is finding this bar. But having no street name or number tied to it is a problem.

‘Maybe I could go to that one tea shop at the central part of the city? Ask around there first, and if they don’t know, get to another shop where people drink often? Seems like the best place for some gossip at least.’ He decides as he heads to that part of the city, most of the usual shops are located there such as the Supply and Demand Store, and much further up the Herbologist's Delight shop. Both of those buildings look more like a cottage, then a shop if not for the sign indicating what they actually are. But the tea shop he is heading for has the looks of a small restaurant where people could order a few snacks as well with their drinks. Most of the décor was in creamy walls on the inside with warm tones of brown and black cushions on the seating’s with some.

It luckily wasn’t too busy in the morning, so when he entered the line to order a drink, he only had to wait for three other customers to be done first, two of which that are a couple from what he can tell. “What about this one? Caramel flavor tea with a nutty aftertaste?” The female wolf mammalian says to her boyfriend, he seems to be a mix of fox, cat and ferret, more delicate so to say in appearance compared to the sturdy build of the other. “I don’t know, maybe a simple lemon and orange tea for me? Not quite feeling that adventurous today!” The guy chuckles as they place their order, both wanting their tea to be as well steeped as possible, she seemed to have taken a cinnamon and apple tea with two side dishes of cake for them both. “Coming right up!” The rather chipper cashier says, black dreadlocks pulled into a ponytail as she bobs up and down with her head for a moment as she took their order and received the money after saying how much it costed, only giving some spare change back when she apparently received too much.

Then steps back to prepare their tea for a moment at the back of the counter. It was rather interesting to see that they have large cans of premade tea ready for those who don’t want to wait for the tea to get as dark as possible on their own, or not wanting the taste to be more light in taste. The small fires lit underneath those cans makes certain the tea is always on the right temperature. When she was done with filling the cups and placing them on a tray together with a small dish of sugar cubes and taking from a display near the counter two slices of cake on separate dishes that she placed on the tray. Giving almost a blinding smile with how red those lips of her are. She was dressed in a uniform that shows mostly burgundy hues with here and there cream tints on the lining. “If you need anything more, just give a call.” With that taken care of and the couple leaving her behind while taking their order with them to sit somewhere in the back of the restaurant she turns her attention to him.

“What can I get for you miss?” He felt his irritation rise at that last part, he really needs to find someway to hide those things at some point in order to not have people call him out like that. “I think I’d like a..” He checks the menu on the counter at his right side for a moment, so many different choices to choose from while taking out of his pocket a small bag of money. “Strawberry cream tea?” He wasn’t certain if it would be a good choice, but it seemed at least somewhat harmless as far as tastes goes. “Would you like to order any sweet pastries, muffins, cakes, or cookies with it?” The lady behind the counter asks, dark brown eyes staring at him curiously. “Yes a chocolate muffin with hazelnuts would be lovely.” He nods, and hands over the required money from the bag, pocketing it quickly when the exchange was done and taking out the slip of paper he had received from the quester.

“I was also wondering?” He says as he watches her prepare his tea, this time only taking a tea bag to be placed on the tray as he hadn’t mentioned if he wanted it to be well steeped and catches her attention with his words, getting a small hum in reply as she stares at him curiously. He only took a second to check his information again. “Do you know of any taverns called Tipsy Scurvy?” It was a long shot, but this is just his first day of searching, and at least the name of the tavern was mentioned on it. That was something at least. But why this requester didn’t also write down the location as well of the place is still baffling to him. “Hmm, I don’t think so? But!” She says cheerfully again when she sees his mood dropping at that. “My manager might know? He tends to check out all kinds of taverns in the weekends!”

He isn’t certain if that is actually good for people to know as being part of his reputation, but he would take what he can get. “Would it be possible I could speak with him? It’s kind of important that I go there for a quest you see.” He shows the slip of paper with the official quest seal on it, her eyes didn’t widen at that, but she did started to look more interested in what he is doing. “Sure, I can certainly try and get him for yah in say.. Fifteen minutes? I’ll have someone else take over my shift by that time. The name’s Stella.” With a grateful nod he pocketed the slip of paper and took the tray from the counter as she had prepared everything on it for him while they talked. “Thank you, that would be really helpful Stella.” He says at the end awkwardly, taking his tray to a seating area close to the window so he’d have something else to look at besides his own tea or snack while there are other customers around.

It would be rather rude to keep staring at others after all. Opening his tea bag he takes it out and dips it in the hot water, using the spoon near his cup to press on the bag so that he can get it to a more darker color quickly. Dropping two sugar cubes in it and letting it steep for the moment while he takes small bites from the muffin. The one he chose certainly tastes quite good, and is rather crunchy with the nuts in it as well. Taking his time with eating and drinking he watches the cashier busy herself as well with the other customers, as it is still early in the morning, there aren’t too many customers yet, but it is still enough that small talk happens between them with those that are regulars of this establishment. A while later he saw the cashier with dreadlocks leaving as another women with blond hair took her place behind the counter, and she went to a door marked as ‘staff only’, hopefully this manager knows this tavern Tipsy Scurvy, the name alone is memorable enough at least.

A few minutes later just as he finished the last of his tea, and with the muffin already gone, a dark-skinned man came with Stella that has her almost looking pale in comparison with her mocha skin. He saw her pointing in his direction and then leaving the store without her previous burgundy colored uniform, wearing black shoes, blue jeans and a long red jacket. As the man comes closer to him, he turns his attention to the dark-skinned man, his hair while black is graying slightly on the sides and while he thinks Stella might have been in her twenties, this man is probably closer to the fifty in age. “Are you the one who was asking about the tavern Tipsy Scurvy?” He nodded at that as the man took out a chair besides his small table and sat down in it. “Yes, I’m hoping for any information you might have on where the tavern could be located, the one who requested some sort of retrieval quest only gave three things as far as information to go off on, but left the crucial bit out on the location. I can’t contact them either apparently, something about keeping the client’s contact information private when they want it to be thus.”

He says in mild frustration as he lowers his hands so that they rest on his legs. “If you could help me out with this that would be great.” The man opposite him meanwhile looks thoughtfully for a minute, tapping with one finger against the table while thinking before coming to a decision and fishing out of his pocket a scrap of paper and a pen. “Alright, I certainly know the bar is seedy enough that those kinds of things can happen.” The man says while scribbling something down in the paper. With those kinds of things, he probably means with getting ‘robbed’ perhaps, he’s been vague enough about it that the implication is most certainly there. The requester, come to think of it, certainly seems in a way that he was implying it just a little bit. Not enough to make him want to turn it down yet as they could maybe have meant something differently, but he wasn’t certain of that yet either. Still, if that is the end scenario. He’d rather quit the mission before he’d start going down that path in life any further again.
