Please note...- The last date to post your introduction post is 72 hours from this post. Without an introduction post you cannot battle. - Certain moves can't be used in the Pit because of the surroundings and other moves can affect more than one creature at the same time. After all introduction posts have been posted you will be informed whether those two apply to any of your creatures' moves. - That you have 72 hours to post a response to a calculation post and/or roleplay post. The 72 hour deadline is not extended if your foe posts after a calculation post. Not meeting the deadline results in an automatic disqualification. - That characters level once every 20 posts in the Fighting Pit, but pets gain levels and loyalty towards their owners normally.

Name of Owner: Fiera Ferella Name of Pet: Madison Species and Breed of Pet: Candy Corn Bat Level: 42 Loyalty to Owner: 44 Stats:Stamina: 2 Strength: 1 Resistance: 1 Dexterity: 4 Mentality: 2 Any natural boost to stats: None Special Abilities: Fly, Nightvision, Danger Sense (10), Stone Skin (4), Hardy (5) Moves Taught: Scratch (1), Screech (3), Wing Buff (3), Echolocation (5), Sonic Waves (5) Abilities Used on Command: Fly (3) Tricks Taught: Name, Come, No Creature Carries Ribbon? No *Special!* Chosen extra move *Special!*: N/A, no ribbon. Another day, another match. Fiera honestly hadn't been expecting to win that last one against what was apparently a custom felusine- the appearance of the creature alone showed how powerful it was. And yet... somehow, Madison had pulled through. Fiera felt bad for having doubted her, but she knew she couldn't get her hopes up yet. If one thing was for sure, she knew that her first match had been a lucky break- victory was by no means assured. The audience murmured as she entered the fighting pit with Madison again, releasing the candy corn bat onto the dusty floor. The creature settled herself, and then looked back up at her owner with a ready chirrup. At least she was well recuperated by this point, ready to try again. The humanish nodded to the referee, trying to still her lashing tail. She was ready, regardless of what was coming next. (Ready!)

Ashe was back in the arena. It was strange, with the tournament so close to the holidays. Normally Ashe found himself hanging around the Pit, bored and waiting or watching other participants, but he instead had to rush around and get some things done between matches. He wasnt thinking about exactly how long it had been since he and Prelitya had graced the arena, but he felt like it had been a long time. The mind will do that to you when you're focused on something intently, send you a million miles away in seconds. But they were here now. He dropped Prelitya off, and noted a candy corn colored bat was already there. They looked to be of similar shape and size, interestingly enough. Perhaps friendly under other circumstances. He wished his lerrel good luck and made his way to the stands with Inyala on his shoulder. The little imp had been a big help this past holiday, and he hoped she could sit back and relax a little while they watched the battle. It should be him, not her, that got tense every time his lerrel came under attack.
Ashe leaned against the railing, casually. His mind was elsewhere and he was fighting to bring it back into focus. Pre needed him to focus here and now.

First things first- Madison was terrible on the ground. She was a bat with two wings and two legs, so walking wasn't her strong suit. Staying down there was a terrible idea. Now that her opponent was up and ready, Fiera knew that she needed to get started as soon as possible. "Ready, Madison?" She called into the arena, and saw her candy corn bat's ears instantly flick up. Good- she needed all systems go in Madison's mind. "Fly!" She called, and the bat started flapping her wings as hard as she could, sending little plumes of dust into the air. With any luck she'd soon take off, giving her the advantage in speed and height. Still, she knew anything could come next, especially when she knew so little about her opponent. The person across from her looked familiar- someone she had seen in the contest hall, perhaps? But she had never had a conversation with them.

Prelitya watched the bat with a rather predatory expression. She was a trained fighter, after all, and knew that this was her opponent. But more than that, this creature reminded her a bit of the bugs and other things she would catch. They were awkward and slow on land, like this brightly colored bat was, but if they got into they air they would be really hard to catch... she wanted to stop this creature from taking off. She crept forward, tensed and prepared for Ashes command that she knew would be coming soon. What would be the best way to deal with this enemy? Ashe would know. And he tried to know. He had seen these creatures before, but he had very little field experience with them. How fast were they? It didnt look too fast, or graceful. But it could fly, so... always best to clip those wings. Claw! it was the first move that came to Ashe's mind. The lerrel leaped into action, scrambling to cross the ground separating them quick enough to reach the opponent before take off, because fly was indeed the move called out by the owner. Inyala felt her own wings twitch, hearing the call. Though she couldn't fly herself, she still felt the urge to take off. But she held still, perched as she was on her master's shoulder.

Now that she was up and about Madison had the advantage, unless this lerrel had something hidden up its metaphorical sleeve. Sure enough, the lerrel lunged for Madison, but with her newfound nimbleness, she was able to dart out of the way just in time. Fiera watched as she gently darted and flitted through the air, like an autumn leaf that didn't want to land. Good. Now to make sure her opponent couldn't get a hit in. It would probably only take one, after all. "Madison!" She called, getting her bat's attention. "Use screech!" She reiterated, and Madison immediately sprung into action. Fiera could see her chest puff out as she breathed in, and quickly plugged her ears. Just in time too, as a wave of sound echoed through the arena, high pitched and irritating. Fiera could feel her ears starting to ring, even though she had her hands clasped tight around them.

Try claw again! Ashe ordered, cursing under his breath as the bat took to the air, twisting its body out of the lerrel's reach. That was their one shot, he felt like. A tournament like this, it was a race to get the first hit in, because if the wind so much as blew the wrong direction at one of these tiny creatures, they could be knocked out. Ashe felt more comfortable with the large formidable beasts that could take a hit and come back swinging; these were so delicate. Now that bat was zipping around in the air, so free in a way Prelitya couldn't be. The lerrel made a move to try to jump up and swipe a clawed hand at the opponent, but partway through, the screech echoed around the arena, hurting even Ashe's ears with its pitch. He couldn't imagine what Prelitya was feeling, so close to it - or even Inyala, for that matter. Her more sensitive ears had to be hurting, too. He felt her cringe down low on his shoulder, and imagined her hands were probably covering her ears as well. He could feel her pain as a slight discomfort, a pressure in his head. She'd be fine, but right now it was kind of dazzling. He shook his head, trying to shoo the sound out.
Prelitya, though she tried her best, wasn't able to react, and was just lucky enough to stay standing.

Fiera felt a surge of relief as the grey lerrel seemed stunned by the blast, though somehow still standing, and she shook her head to try and get back to functional as well. This would be their chance, their opening at getting a hit in. Madison was unaffected by her own attack, likely something to do with her affinity for sound, and seemed perfectly ready to land the next blow. "Alright, Madison!" She called out into the arena, though she could barely hear her own voice over her ears ringing. "Hit 'em with wing buff!" She shouted- wing buff was a staple move of theirs, and the easiest to use once Madison had taken flight. Right on cue, Madison started flapping her wings, generating wisps, then buffets, then walls of wind as she picked up the pace and effort of her flaps, directing the full force of it at her opponent.

That was so unfair! Ashe could hear the battle command; his ears, though ringing, were still able to pick it up. It was a move he used very often with Prelitya, one of his favorite moves - and here it was, being turned against him! What a way to get defeated. Without a miracle, he didn't think Pre would be recovered enough to launch an attack that would land first. He wasn't one to just give up, roll over and die, though, so he gave one last command. Crunch! He told her. He had a sliver of hope, which he hoped translated well. The best way to motivate someone in a hopeless situation was to give off confidence and hope, not despair! Inyala touched his neck, as if trying to reassure him in their defeat. She knew he hated to lose, and was smart enough to see it coming. They weren't prepared for true combat, just enough to get by...
Prelitya didn't know how to give up, though. She heard the command and tried once more to jump up and attack the bat, jaws parted and tiny little needle teeth bared. Her crunch wouldn't be as terrifying as, say, a Pliathor's crunch, but she could still break the brittle bones of a creature her size! Unfortunately it was not to be, because her move brought her into the force of the wing buff.

Calculations
-Madison uses Wing Buff! A d10 is rolled; 3 is rolled. Wing Buff will do the most damage possible. Wing Buff deals as much damage as Madison's Dexterity; 9. Damage of 9 - Prelitya's Resistance of 1 = 8 Prelitya's Stamina of 2 - 8 = -6
Outcome
Prelitya is buffeted to the ground by the strong winds. Immediately the pit healers run out to attend to both of the contestants.
---
-Fieraferella gets 3 pit prize points and Madison gets 2 levels for winning. -Ashe gets 1 pit prize point and Prelitya gets 1 level for losing.
