Renathan watches after catching his breath and lifting his mask slightly to wipe a tear from one eye. He'd nearly laughed himself to death, he felt! Auburn eventually pulls out the coveted yellow yarn ball. She then drags it over to Renathan, looking a little out of breath. Renathan could not be any prouder, nor in any better spirits, than he was now. The tiny jibiji holds it out a bit impatiently, waiting for that seed treat. Renathan happily trades another small seed for the yarn ball. Renathan felt that this pretty well proved that she knew what yellow was, so he could mark that one off of his mental list. Renathan knew that there was a ton of stuff she needed to continue to work on, but he was almost halfway through the horrid list of colors. At least this would help in the future, if they wound up having to specify between colors of envelopes or messages, for some reason.

Renathan wanted to work on one more color before doing some kind of physical activity with the jibiji in order to wake both of them back up. They'd been working on more mental-like tasks all morning, and Renathan never really felt rested anyway from the night previously. He needed to get up and get moving. He figured that they would move on to green for the moment, and then work on the last few ones after a little exercise break. Renathan takes all of the yarn balls and quickly puts them back in the backpack. Exactly which ones would he decide to use with the green one now that he knew that the tiny creature seemed to do really well with colors. Renathan pulls the green yarn ball back out, and then quickly pulls out a blue one and a yellow one. He figured that this would work nicely for training the 'green' distinction command.

Renathan places the three selected yarn balls out on the table and then grins beneath his mask at the situation. They were doing so well today, even if he was still quite tired. Renathan waits until the jibiji seems quite ready, and then he points to the green yarn ball to get her attention. "Sii." He specifies. Then, he moves his finger around, and specifies again. "Sii." Then he touches the yarn ball with his finger. "Sii." He then pets the little jibiji, unable to really control a sudden surge of affection for the tiny critter. She was just too adorable! Afterwards, he then decides to start on the command itself. "Ve'kree, Sii!" He calls it out, but relatively softly for such an excited tone. The jibiji looks between all three yarn balls for a moment. She knew which one was the green one of course, but she was still a little confused at first. She had been paying attention, but not as rapt as usual.

Renathan watches with a bit of confusion at first as to why Auburn seemed to wait until now to be confused about something, but soon enough she does move, and towards the correct one too. He had been sure that she was watching, but maybe he'd been a little distracted as well. He was ready to get moving, at least for a little bit, but had to wait until he was confident that she knew the distinction word for green. Renathan waits until Auburn has the green yarn ball ready for him before he trades a small seed for the correct yarn ball that she has. Renathan is glad that she seems pleased with the small seeds for now, he didn't plan on switching to the larger roasted ones until later. Renathan watches her break open the shells on the tiny seed, and he rearranges the yarn balls yet again.

The tiny jibiji was getting the colors fairly quickly, and Renathan was sure that if they ran straight through them that they could get them done fairly quickly. However, Renathan liked to spend more time on the simpler tasks to strengthen their bond. She always surprised him about how quickly that she learned the harder training issues as well- he wanted to spend a little more time working on her old training later as well, to get them refreshed. Renathan wanted to make sure that she retained everything. There were quite a few more things he wanted to do after a while, but there wasn't a lot of choice anymore. He was out of practice in the jewelry-making department, since the workshop had been down for renovations for a while now... He'd been working in his home forge lately though, and had found a new side to smithing; weapon smithing. He'd worked hard to learn how to do it, after all! He had a lot more time now to work on projects, but he really wanted to go back to gemsmithing.

Renathan mixes up the yarn balls again, and mixes them up quite nicely. Then, he runs her over the command yet again. "Ve'kree Sii." He specifies, and the tiny jibiji takes off running for the green yarn ball yet again. Renathan was proud, and of course trades her another small seed for the green yarn ball. The tiny bird made quick work of the seed, removing it from the seed casing both swiftly and precisely. Renathan pulled more of the yarn balls out of his backpack and once again made a large pile of them. Renathan waits until the seed casing is discarded before he decides to give the command again. "Ve'kree Sii." He says, and the tiny creature takes off running, diving into the pile again. Renathan doesn't have to wait long for the creature to come scrambling out of the pile with the correct, green yarn ball. Renathan was pleased with this outcome; and awards her with another small seed for the trouble.

Renathan was thinking, while the tiny jibiji was finishing up her little seed snack, about what kind of high-octane work that he wanted to do with her to get them ready to go to the mansion. His general idea was to do something exciting in training, and then head home for the day after working through some of the old commands. After that, he figured that going for a short excursion to the Mansion would be worth it in the evening. He had wasted a lot of the month, it wouldn't be much longer and the mansion would change... He was sad about that. He did really enjoy the snowy weather that seemed to permeate it this time of the year! However, what did he even want to train? He knew that they needed to work on catch again, he felt like they'd worked on that before, but he wanted to finish it off for sure. That would be exciting, too!

Renathan figured that after working on catch and a few more commands today, that they would go home for a little while before hitting the mansion. The creatures at the farm were going to need to be fed soon, anyway. He had a lot of things to do, but it wouldn't take too long. Renathan stretches and then stands up, quickly collecting all of the yarn balls and putting them away in his bag. They would go through the rest of the colors on another day, since he was pretty tired of repeating the same work over and over again. Renathan then puts his backpack on the black walnut bench, and is quite happy to see that Auburn was finished with her seed. Now, they would work on a few of their older commands to get her all warmed up. He was excited to start moving around, because it was so very cold outside.

Renathan mentally goes through the list of training they have done in the past, trying to decide exactly how to go about this quick rundown in a fairly succinct way. Renathan knew that the messenger training wouldn't be able to be gone over, since he didn't bring their messenger stuff today. He decides what to do relatively quickly, and then begins to work. "Auburn, Tseetsi!" He calls out. He's glad to see her quickly and cutely bow, as they had went over previously. "Auburn, Cree!" With that command, the tiny jibiji made a surprisingly loud screech noise! He was pleased with that. "Auburn, Nee." He calls out, and the tiny creature glances around before burying herself down into his backpack's side pocket. He chuckles at this, she was just perfectly adorable! "Auburn, Rowi!" The tiny bird made a cute little song, chittering sweetly. Renathan is grinning beneath the mask as they continue working.

Renathan was glad that she retained her training incredibly well for such a small creature! "Auburn, Saeri." He calls out, and the cute little creature began begging with the most adorable huge eyes he could imagine on such a tiny bird. He then moved on to another set of commands. He moves closer to the creature, and turns his head slightly. "Auburn, Kiiru." He states, and the tiny creature just gently pecks him on the check, ever so carefully, so as not to hurt him. "Auburn, Vnei Vsai." He puts out his finger, and is proud to have her step onto it willingly from the table. Renathan opened the backpack with his other hand, and then gives another very specific command. "Ve'kree Rae." The tiny creature flutters down into the backpack, and pops up with the red yarn ball. Renathan is quite impressed, and then asks her another command. "Vnei." He puts out his fingers, and she steps on up, holding that tiny red yarn ball in her front limbs.

Renathan then calls her up into the air. "Rilaesri!" The tiny creature hops up into the air shallowly, fluttering her wings. "Laesri." He said softly, and she begins to glide down to the ground. Before she hit the ground, he called out the next command. "Aesri!" She is hardly able to catch herself before flowing up into the sky, flapping hard at first and then leveling out as she got about head-height. "Auburn, Bralhe!" He calls out, and then he quickly runs out to catch the yarn ball as the creature drops it. He's just able to get it when he quickly throws it out quite far. "Auburn, Bres'kree!" He is pleased to see the tiny bird quickly go catch the yarn ball, even before it hits the ground. At this point, Renathan is just glad that the yarn ball was tightly rolled together, so that it wouldn't come apart. The tiny bird brings it to him quite easily. "Auburn, Ri." He says, not quite knowing where she'd plan to land. The tiny bird then perches on his head, much to his amusement. She seemed to know her commands very well!

Renathan decided that the next command they'd work on was the 'catch'. The word was similar to the 'fetch', but he knew that the bird tended to be able to pick sounds out very well against one another. It would probably trip her up later on, but he knew that she'd do fine eventually. Renathan pulled out a larger seed, this time one of the darker ones, so that she could see it easier. Renathan then called out the command first, "Bres'KREI!" Emphasizing the 'krei' as opposed to 'kree', hoping that she would realize that it was different. Then, he threw the seed. He knew that she would want the seed and then go after it, which was why he was going to start with the seeds as opposed to the yarn balls. True to what he figured, the jibiji took off flying from his head to chase the seed, perhaps mistaking it for the 'fetch' command. They weren't a whole lot different.

Before she had the chance to bring him back the seed, Renathan threw another of the darker, larger seeds. "Bres'KREI!" He called out, specifying the 'krei' so that she would be able to tell the difference. The seed that she had just caught before was transferred to her front limbs, and she quickly caught the next seed in her hind set of legs. Renathan grinned, knowing that now she'd have to eat one of them instead of try to bring it back to him. She does this on the fly, making quick work of the seed shell and discarding it so that her feet would be free again. She transfers the other seed to her front limbs, and before she could try to take it back to him, Renathan calls out the command again and throws another of the seeds immediately. "Bres'krei!" He figures that she would eventually get that she wasn't supposed to bring it back to him, like the fetch command. Maybe he should have trained this one first?

The tiny bird did manage to catch the next seed too, and she quickly ate the first as well, discarding the seed. As soon as she managed to eat that one, Renathan decided to show her the difference between the two commands before she could try to bring it back to him. "Auburn, Bres'KREE." He specified the last part of the command this time on one she already knew, and it seemed to have the desired effect on her. He felt a slightly wave of confusion followed by what felt like understanding as the tiny creature seemed to understand that they were two different commands. She brings the seed back to him, and drops it into his hand as per the fetch command they had already worked on. Renathan quickly gives her lots of praise and pets on her head, she'd done great! Renathan was so proud of her, and glad that she seemed to get it for now. He wanted to continue practicing to make sure that it stuck properly.

Renathan really wanted his jibiji to be the best trained creature that she could possibly be, and maybe even the best trained creature in the labs at the moment, but he knew that she had a long way to go for that! In fact, he figured that she may even be behind Shy Guy, which was his fault of course. Renathan allows her to eat the seed she has in her hand, and then he quickly readies a few of the smaller seeds for this to work out even better. Renathan then called out "Bres'kree!" The one she already knew. Then, he throws one of the smaller seeds. The tiny bird flies out and then grabs the seed, then she brings it to him quickly. Renathan then takes the seed and calls out the second, different command. "Bres'krei!" She seemed to have gotten there was a difference earlier, but now it was time to really test it out! He tosses the seed into the air.
