Nadia had come across a figurative goldmine of objects while moving house. It had been a while since she had gone to the mine, and the treasures she had previously found within its caves had been laying dormant - so wasn't it about time to get rid of them, and give them to someone who may get some use of them? As it stood, she didn't have anything she could utilise.
That's why she had arrived at The Underground, a shop she had never been to before. It always made her nervous, to go somewhere new, but every shopkeeper she'd interacted with in the past had been friendly. As she entered, she offered the keeper a shy smile.
"Hello," She said, moving forward to place her bag of gems and stones on the counter. "I have some objects that I wish to sell here. Might I ask for an appraisal of their value?"
Kor was back behind the counter, measuring a few stones with a loup whenever the customer came in. "Greetin's, I'll get 'em checked out." He says, voice gruff but it was a warm sort of gruff. He moves the other stones far over so that they would get mixed up, and then reached for the bag of gems. "If tha's alright with ya."
As soon as he was allowed, he checked out each gemstone carefully, using his tools. After he was done, he looks up. "I kin give ya 429 credits for these here."
Nadia smiled and gave a little nod to express her consent for the appraisal to go ahead. She seemed just an interested as Kor as he went through them; she'd forgotten what most of them even looked like, let alone what they were worth! There were certainly some pretty stones among them. Once he had finished, she blinked in pleasant surprise at the total value.
"Oh, that is marvellous. Yes, that would do nicely, thank you," She said. "If that is alright, of course. I understand if you didn't have the funds on hand, or... or such like."
It was just her shyness speaking. Kor sounded friendly, though - a little rough around the edges, but not abrasive. She was happy to wait in his company while they sorted the transaction out. Nothing to be afraid of! She didn't know why she worried so much about her shopping trips when the staff were consistently kind.
Kor looked up at the customer, and nodded. "Ya, I got it o'course, here ya are." He said, his voice friendly. He fishes a few coins out from a metal-working apron nearby and counts them out to the customer. "...An' Four-twenty-nine. Here ya go." He says, handing them on over to the customer. "Is that all I kin' do for ya today?" He says, flashing a quick half-smile. It was always good to be able to buy a good stock of minerals and ore.
Nadia was patient as Kor counted the credits. She was in no rush - she was thinking about picking up some items for her training, but had the whole day to do that, and had nothing else planned. It was nice to go with the flow. She gratefully accepted them once they had been correctly set out, and tucked them away into her purse, unable to disguise her satisfaction.
"That will be all for now, thank you very much," She replied. "I appreciate your assistance. Hopefully, we will cross paths again soon! Have a good day, sir."
Very jovial for her usual standard. Her confidence was bolstered by kindness, and it definitely showed! One would think she shopped there regularly. As she left, she offered a cheerful wave over her shoulder - though she did stop for a few moments to examine a hard hat that was more her colour than her current pink one. Vanity never ceased.
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?

Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)

Riku: I got three pet levels and 15c out of it. <3 And all the necessary posts for my job salary form.

Riku: In mine my crossbreed used foxfire to burn it - but then it used incendiary illusion, which was extra scary because my cross is a plant pet with thick fur. It used the distraction to escape. I’m proud of it, and it’s okay that I won’t finish this month.

Renathan: *But of course, the RNG was not having that. / In Morgan's story, the Nyssa was a real thing, so I wanted to have two different situations for the variety.
May 31, 2020 18:15:27 GMT -6
Renathan: Yeah, the 'finished the story but the RNGods are being a butt' thing is a rather unfortunate situation to be in. I had already decided that in Ren's story, the elderly woman had lied about the nyssa and just wanted someone to talk to*

Riku: That makes sense. I've considered that before. -nod- I hope your non-hxr life is going smoothly.

Haix: Just quitting the job. Don't believe I'll be making the ten posts required per month any time soon. XD
May 31, 2020 16:34:01 GMT -6
Riku: Note to haix, I believe you can post the new application form at the same time as the quitting form. Unless you are simply taking an overall break from the job system.

Fiera Ferella: even AT the gardens yet. XD It sucks when you've finished writing your story and haven't gotten a success, because then its like "well... now what?" XD
May 31, 2020 15:51:47 GMT -6
Fiera Ferella: ive found that when there's a quest that might take longer like this, its a good idea to try and space out the story beats to try and roll a success before i get to the meat of the story. XD Like, by the time i was 5 posts in my character wasn't
