So she hadn't found anything at the river the day before, but she bet she would find something now that she had Eclipse with her. Well, even if she didn't, it was no big deal, the things she could find weren't a big deal when it all came down to it, she just wanted to get her Houluh experienced and all that. Jack pushed a hand through her hair with a small smile and hoped that things would go well for her and the Blessed Houluh, with the silky hair it was strongly advised for them not to go into the water, which was good for them both she supposed. That meant it was weird to bring him to the River, but at the same time, she decided it didn't really matter in the long run. She looked down at him, soon enough to see him yawn, and she sighed a little. Probably another day with her own thoughts.

Jack didn't have a lot to do today, and this was the last of the Houluh she had where they had some previous experience in the world, but that was fine, they would just need more individualized attention and all that from now on, which she could certainly do, she figured with the smallest of smiles. Jack looked around and tried to find a different spot for them to be at this time, but she figured they would just head to the normal spot, it usually did pretty well for her, and she knew it was tricky, but she could get it to produce again eventually. Well, she would at least try in another spot and see what she could find, she knew with a small smile, and she shook her head, unsure of what she should be doing when it was all said and done and all that she sighed a little.

Given the excitement of most Houluh, she was surprised that Eclipse was so tired all the time. Was it a breed thing, being Silky instead of a regular Houluh? Or was it just him and his own nature? He was the first of the Silky Houluh she was attempting to grow to adult, and she knew that it was going to be a little bit of a learning curve to figure it all out and all that. The woman just gave herself a small shrug and decided it didn't really matter, and she watched as he curled up in the shade of the boulder and laid his head on his hands, wagging his tail just a little when she looked over at him. Well then, at least he was fond of her so far, she figured with a frown as she started to set up her line for now. At least she was going to try.

As long as she had something to focus on, she wouldn't be too bad off she thought with a sigh. Things were being weird at the moment, and she just hoped that it was going to end up just fine. She had to sort out her feelings for Nina, of course, but that could happen another day, maybe when they were together at some point, but that seemed to be few and far between. Oh well, they didn't have to be together all the time, it wasn't like they were attached at the hip or anything. The woman stretched out, popping her back a bit, before she cast her line into the river and watched as the bobber bobbed along softly on the surface of the water. This was good, this was all she needed, just her rod and line and her pup she was working with, that was all a person really needed.

Eclipse didn't much care for what was going on around him, but he was happy enough to be with the woman he thought as he lazily opened a single eye to see what she was doing. He was more like a lizard than the lizards she had at this point, which made her chuckle as she reached out to pat him on the head a little bit. She knew some of what went through his head, as he vocalized some of it, but this was hard for her to come to terms with sometimes when it all came down to it. Jack leaned back against the boulder with a small sigh, wishing there was something that could pull her out of this funk, but there wasn't much when she thought about it. Ah well, it didn't really matter in the long run, but she did need to catch a few things, if only to make herself feel better.

Fishing with a pup who wasn't supposed to swim was interesting, and while she knew that Eclipse wasn't one to get up and move around, that didn't really matter either she supposed. It wasn't like he was going to run out into the water at this point or anything, that was the furthest from his mind she knew. Giving a small sigh, the woman shook her head and watched her line still bobbing in the water and wished there was something else she could do at the moment. Of course she could train him, but she wasn't going to do that just yet she knew with a little frown on her face. Jack just hoped that everything would end well for all of them, and though she hoped that they would find some good fish and such no matter what, she knew it wasn't the most important thing at the moment either.

The sun had just started to rise when they had left the Kennel, and it took a little while to get to the River, which was fine she knew. Still though, it wasn't even noon and here they were, with Eclipse sleeping by the boulder she was leaning on while her line was out in the water. Jack sighed a little and decided it didn't really matter in the long run, but she did wish there was something else to do while they were there. At least she had a little bit to do though, she supposed, and she gave a little chuckle as she thought about it. Here she was doing something she had been wanting to do for awhile, and she couldn't help but complain and wish she was doing something else at the same time. It wasn't like she could be in two places at once or anything at this point.

All she knew was that it was going to be hard for her to get this done after a little while she thought with a frown. Some pups had shown up at the Kennel from... something that had been given away, and she had gone out and bought three more, because of course she would. That meant she had more animals to deal with at this point, which made her sigh. As though Houluh weren't enough, she thought as she glanced wryly at the pup who was with her at the moment. This was going pretty quickly though, she had to give it that much, much faster than having three, or even two Houluh at a time. Whatever, it didn't matter at this point, and she hoped that it was all going to work out in the long run, though it was going to be hard pressed to get things done at this point.

Jack just didn't know what to do though, they were going to have to be there for awhile longer, and then she was going to have to do something to the... Ohou? That's what they were called, right? Maybe she would do something with one of them next, she figured with a low chuckle. Of course there were several more Houluh pups to do shows for as well, though they definitely needed experience in the world before they could do that, a little training and all that as well. Jack wasn't sure what to do right now, and it was all alright when things happened she figured. She was eyeing a few pups at the HAA at the same time, which was a bad idea all around, and she had heard someone had left and needed someone to watch their Houluh too, so she was debating on that as well at this point.

Well, this was alright in the long run she figured, she didn't need everything figured out at this point. Tilting her head a little, the woman decided she just needed to get Eclipse to do what he needed to do, and it wasn't going to take all that much longer either she figured. This was a good thing she knew, and she hoped that it was all going to be alright. As she looked at Eclipse, she watched him twitch a bit before she realized her bobber was bobbing a little more aggressively than it had been before since they had been there today. Raising an eyebrow, the woman pulled it up and found a brownish fish at the end of her line, to which she whooped, waking up Eclipse a bit but he settled down pretty quickly at the same time. Well then she figured she would put it into the bucket and be alright.

Jack scratched the back of her head and she hoped she would find something else at this point. It wouldn't do well to not find as much after awhile, and that was fine she figured with a small chuckle. She sighed a little and wished there was something she could do for now, though she didn't know what that might be. She glanced over at Eclipse again and wished he was fully grown already, but there wasn't much she could do about that now. Well, she was doing what she could at this point, though it didn't seem like much. The brownish fish was dropped into the bucket and she sighed a little, popping her back as she tried to figure out what else she was going to find at this point, there were a lot of fish around but they weren't biting too well now she thought with a laugh.

Eclipse was tired, he was usually tired, and that was fine. The woman was putting him through the wringer though it would seem, and already he knew a few things, even though he would rather just stay where he was and be content with life. He lazily opened an eye when he heard some splashing and he gave a little whine when some water dropped onto his fur. He rolled over in the dirt to dry off before getting comfortable again, stretching out and yawning. Jack chuckled at him a little and he woofed unhappily, wishing there was something he could do to make this go a little easier for him at this point. She seemed pretty intent on getting this done, and he knew there wasn't much he could do about it at this point and all that. He shook his head and closed his eyes again, settling down to sleep once again.

While there were plenty of fish in the water, she knew there were plants and critters down there too, which was an issue she thought for now. Oh well, it didn't really matter, but she was rather upset about the whole thing she thought as she stared into the liquid rushing by her feet. The plants would tangle up her line and all that, and that wasn't going to do well for things at this point. Well, she could pick them she thought, make her spot by the River a little better than the rest of it, and hopefully no one would come to claim her area after she made it look nice and all that. Jack chuckled and flicked a little water at the Houluh, much to his disappointment as he snarled a little and backed up a bit into the shade, closer to the boulder where she couldn't do that again.

The plants were all water plants, a few lilies could be seen, but mostly weeds and such. She yanked and pulled as she looked them over, making sure she didn't take all of them so the fish had places to hide and they wouldn't just abandon the area. That was the worst part of it she figured, but this was all going to be alright no matter what happened she thought. Jack pushed a hand through her hair and hoped that things would be alright in the long run. She could bring in some better plants later on as well if it seemed like it needed reseeded. One such plant looked like some others she had found before, the Trader took them, so she plunked it into the bucket with the brownish fish as well, just in case. Eclipse wasn't happy about taking things home, but he would get over it eventually.
