Well... that was done and over with, and the area looked a little less scraggly now. She might have ruined it for herself or something, but that was fine she thought with a small sigh as she sat next to Eclipse and lost her fingers in his silky fur. He grunted and rolled over, but she stroked his side a little and thought about what he would be like when he was fully grown. This was the good thing, she knew, that didn't matter in the long run, she just knew that he was used to her as of right now, and that meant they were going to be happy no matter what happened. She just hoped she would be as enthralled by his coat when he grew as she was now. That was an issue, but it wouldn't be too bad, hopefully things would work out in their favor no matter what happened.
Jack stretched out and looked around for a little bit, her hand still on Eclipse for now. He was drowsy, just lazing about at this point, which was fine she thought with a small laugh. She didn't know what else to do and pushed her other hand through her hair for a moment, untangling a few curls and trying to decide if she needed a haircut just yet. She might ask Nina what she thought, it didn't occur to her before, but that was an interesting idea no matter what she thought. All she had to do was get this finished and it was going to be fine she knew for now with a small laugh. Jack chewed on her lip a little and hoped that it was going to be okay, that she could get Eclipse grown and it was all going to be fine in the end, but she knew that probably wasn't going to be it.
She was having some weird thoughts about Nina lately, and while she didn't think her animals minded, she also knew a lot of them had a special link with her and were starting to feel the same way about her friend, the TROD. It was a hard thing to come to terms with sometimes, she was so... human that she forgot she was a TROD about 99% of the time. Sighing, the woman looked down at Eclipse and hoped she wasn't offending Nina by doing and saying some of the things she did and said, but there wasn't anything she could do about it now save for apologizing. Chewing on her lip, the woman looked out across the river and shook her head as she tried to find some comfort in Eclipse's fur. It was something she did at the Kennel as well, being with her animals instead of other people when she was conflicted.
What she needed to do was sort out her feelings for Nina, whatever they were at this point. All she knew was, she felt different about her than she had about anyone else up to this point. Or at least she thought that much, there was some void in her heart that Nina was beginning to fill, but had it been there all along? Or had something happened and she had blocked the memory? Giving a shrug, she finally realized that it didn't matter in the long run, it wasn't like she wanted to try anything up until now and all that. Smiling, she closed her eyes and leaned back against the boulder, wondering if she should just let it go or not. It would be best to, and just focusing on it wouldn't make things any better. Opening her eyes again, she looked down at Eclipse out of fondness, wondering what she needed to do.
Eclipse twitched in his sleep and then opened an eye drowsily. He didn't know what was going on with the woman, but that was fine he knew with a low woof, and licked her hand. He would be here for her no matter what. They weren't as close as his mother was to her, but that was fine, they would get there. Jack sighed and looked at him as well before giving a small smile. She cared for Nina no matter what happened or what anyone said, but... how? It was a strange thing, but she got giddy whenever she saw her, and she didn't know if that was normal for friends or what. Was it? Her heart would race and she would grin like a crazy woman, and she didn't know what she needed to do about it. Giving a small frown, the woman looked at Eclipse again, wondering what to do.
Well, she enjoyed her company, that was a first plus about how she was starting to feel, right? She liked talking to her, and she could be herself around her instead of what she felt other people wanted her to be. Usually she didn't care what people wanted of her, but she did feel like she came off a little strong sometimes. Jack scratched her face for a bit and then put her hand back onto Eclipse and in his fur for awhile as she kept on thinking, keeping an eye on her line as she glanced over at it for a moment or two. Well, she liked knowing what was going to happen, they didn't see each other too often, which was a shame, so maybe that was why she got so giddy whenever she saw Nina or something? It was possible, but she felt like it was something a little more than that.
What... did Nina feel about her? That was a question as well, and she didn't want to realize anything too strong as she thought about her friend, only to have it not be reciprocated. Chewing on her lip, she watched her line, hand in Eclipse's fur still and wondered what was going to happen. The bobber bobbed a little harder and she walked over to the pole, pulling the line out of the water to see a thin blue fish on the end of it. Smiling, the woman nodded and then pulled it off of the hook, tossing it into the bucket with the plant and the other fish to see what was going to happen for now. At least she'd caught a couple of things she thought with a laugh and went back to her spot next to Eclipse, wondering again about Nina, she figured with a small sigh and shake of the head.
What if Nina didn't feel the same way about her as Jack felt about the TROD? That was a tough one, and she didn't know what else to do for now. Well, it didn't matter too much she thought with a sigh, she didn't know what she felt about her, herself at this point. She was quite fond of her friend, but did it end there? Was there a budding feeling of... something else? There would be no way to tell for sure until she saw her again she figured, but that was fine she thought with a small chuckle. Eclipse looked at her after awhile and then sat up and stretched out. He didn't know what her problem was, but woofed at her, asking if he could help, and she chuckled and put her face in his fur for a moment or two before she sighed and began the story.
"So I have this friend, Nina. She's a TROD with a soul, at least I think she has one. I don't think of her like a TROD though, she's a person, right? So... what does that mean for me anyway? Could I feel things for her, more than friends I guess is the issue right now, with her being what she is? Or is that too weird and complicated and I just shouldn't try at this point?" Jack moaned a little, putting her face in her hands, and Eclipse came over and licked at her arm a little before giving a small woof, urging her to go on. She nodded and sighed again, "Well... I think I might feel more for her than what I originally thought, but... what should I do if that's the case? What if I have feelings for her and I just don't know if I should right now?"
It was hard for her to go on, but with Eclipse egging her on, she continued, "I guess I just don't know if I should feel this way for a friend of mine, especially when it feels like something like this has happened before, but I just don't remember it. I mean, what would I do if she has no feelings for me like the way I think I do for her? That would be the worst of it I guess..." Jack sighed a little and leaned back against the boulder before giving her Houluh a little smile, "Maybe I'm just reading too much into things, that's entirely possible. She's just a friend, a really good one, right?" Eclipse shook his head a little and sighed, he figured what she felt, but she was definitely trying to hide it. He didn't have the link the others did, but that was fine he knew.
If all she would do was talk it out, like she had been doing, then things would be a little easier for her, but for now she had clammed up and she wasn't going to say anything else. This was the toughest thing for him to deal with he knew, but what were they going to do at the moment anyway? Jack sighed a bit and leaned back against the boulder again and hoped that things were going to be fine. She just had to believe it would be alright she knew with a little smile on her face, whatever she was feeling about Nina? That was fine too, she just had to concentrate on things for now after all, and it was going to be alright in the long run. All she needed to do was concentrate, focus, realize that things were going to be fine no matter what happened she thought.
Was that rain? Oh great. It didn't seem that cloudy this morning, but the sky is full of dark clouds swollen with precipitation. Slowly the drops fall at first, but they quickly pick up speed. Before too long, it's a full on downpour, and there aren't many places to hide in the canyons.
If that wasn't bad enough, the ground around the river turns into a sludgy muck. It's hard to navigate, sucking at the feet of all those who try to step in it.

Well... she had an issue, she figured as she looked down at the little fish. Sighing, she shook her head, she didn't know what she was getting into, it appeared, and his eyes were always strange at the same time, staring at her from the bowl she was pulling behind her in the little cart. Oh well, it would be alright she figured with a shake of his head, and that was alright in the same time she thought with a little frown. What was she going to do with this guy anyway? She'd had a dream about him, she knew that he was coming to her and all that, she had been there to submit the coin, but... another sigh escaped her, she didn't know what to think of him now that she had him, she supposed, an otherwordly Tat-lung, more than usual at this point, and it was alright at the same time.
It was good they were at the river, she figured with a frown as she looked the Tat-lung over a little as she thought about the whole thing. A dream and then an egg had appeared, for the second time in a seemingly short amount of time. Shaking her head, the woman didn't know if this was worth it or not, she just didn't know at this point it would seem. Tilting her head, the woman smiled a little as she looked at her normal spot by the river, and she hoped that was all going to be alright in the end. Jack pushed a hand through her head a little and ruffled her hair, hoping that she wouldn't be seen by anyone today, it wasn't like she was vain or anything, but it was going to be fine either way she figured with a little nod and a smile.
Silver: I'd be happy to help you set up a mini species guide maybe? :3

Xentus: Yea, the smaller guides are included in the update project. I suppose a little reformat would be needed to the guides match the stat blocks if anything. Or misc species can have individualized mini guides but i havent thought of how to format that

Silver: I think so! I'm not sure how Xentus is organising that, but I believe we can write new guides for shop species and stuff. I'd love to see some on the mansion pets!

Twilight-Claw: True, does the Species Guide Update also apply for the smaller guides like them though?

Twilight-Claw: Since the Bellafaux are the dumbed down but bigger version of them. Love the fact that they got stats of their own now though! Finally they can be trained! <3

Twilight-Claw: Hmm, for some reason it doesn't feel as if the Bellaroxi has the right move set when looking at the old entry of them in text.
