Jack had a lot to do, but there was something compelling her to work with Segue, as she had named him, though she wasn't sure why that was at this point. Shaking her head, she tapped on the glass a little and thought it was going to be alright when he turned his strange gaze onto her. Hmm, that was never not going to be unnerving it would seem, she thought as she shook her head, she didn't know what to do with him, really, when it all came down to it. She wouldn't be able to ride him or anything, a Tat-lung would never allow that, so she figured a companion was going to be the best for them at this point. That just seemed... pointless? A little? But she had this guy now, so she needed to work with him a little to make sure he would actually like her when he grew up.

It was going to be alright in the long run though, she figured with a low chuckle, and the woman watched him circle the bowl a few times as she worked on getting her spot all set up so she could finally fish, hopefully in peace this time. It was different than being with Houluh at the river, it appeared, and that was fine at the same time, he was just a little less interactive than her Houluh had been, she knew with a little sigh and a frown. Jack chewed her lip a little and looked over her fishing rod, making sure it was fine before launching it into the water once more. There would hopefully be a few fish coming up, though she didn't know what to do at the moment. Tilting her head, she looked back at Segue and frowned, she didn't know what to do with him.

As she thought about it a little, she knew that Segue would at least be interesting when he grew up, and she really needed to spend the time with him before he grew so he would trust her and all that. However, she didn't know what to do with him, she wasn't going to send him into the river and all that, he wouldn't last a minute she supposed, and he would probably get tangled in her wire, which would never do. A little frown crossed her face and she shook her head, she didn't know how to interact with a fish of all things, but knew what he was going to grow in to, which helped things along a little bit. However, she was so used to being hands on with her animals, it was going to be hard to figure this whole thing out at this point, she wondered.

Hmm, it would be alright in the long run she supposed, but still, a fish... She frowned either way she knew, it was going to be difficult to bond with him she figured, it wasn't like he was a normal animal from the Labs and all that, though she didn't know what to do at the moment. It was going to be fine she knew with a little sigh, and the woman chewed on her lip a little bit, as she wondered what all was going to happen with the Tat-lung as he grew. Jack scratched her head a little and frowned a bit as she looked at things. Segue was going to be alright she knew, and she hoped that she wasn't going to get all this worked out the wrong way at this point. It would be alright though she knew with a little nod, a fish was a fish, right?

Whatever happened, he wouldn't stay a fish forever, he was getting pretty big already, a little bigger than when he had first broken out of his shell in the Kennel. That's when she knew she needed to work with him after all, as soon as he had hatched, things were afoot it would appear. People were clamoring for him to be a part of certain things, and she needed to make sure he grew up and would listen to her and all that. Nodding to herself, she turned away from the baby Tat-lung for a bit and looked over at the river again and at her fishing line. It would be worth it, she would get enough things for the Trader and all that she knew with a little nod, and the woman thought about it for a little bit at this point. He was going to be interesting, she had to admit to that.

Not working with him would be a shame and all that, but she didn't know what to do with it at the moment. Eyeing Segue again, she wished there was something more she could do with him than this, but it was difficult all the same. Shaking her head, she wished there wasn't much else to do at the moment no matter what. Jack had a good idea that something would work out with them, but she wished she didn't have to focus on him all the time. That was the worst she thought, having to bond with her animals was a little irritating, she wished that they would just inherently trust her and all that. That was insane to think of though she knew with a little frown. Whatever, it didn't really matter to her right now, she wanted to fish and then bond with her fish a little and all that.

She had a lot of faith in herself and the Tat-lung she supposed, good things would happen eventually, and the woman frowned a little as she thought about the whole thing. Wishing she had a little bit of stuff to do at the moment other than this though, she shook her head a little and thought about the whole thing. Well, she had a few things to do at the moment, she figured with a little sigh, though she didn't know what to do at the moment either way. Shaking her head, the woman wished she had a little more to do at the moment no matter what happened, though she did hope that she had a little bit of things to work toward. Just wanting to get fish and to bond with Segue though? That was irritating, it didn't give her much to go on she knew a little bit at this point.

All she could do was keep wishing she would already catch something, and she slumped a little against the boulder she always leaned on when fishing here. Shaking her head, she was a little upset that she hadn't caught anything yet at least, but there wasn't much else she could do about it all around and everything. Jack just sighed a bit and didn't know what to do for now at the moment, though it was going to be fine in the long run no matter what happened. Fishing was all well and good, but Segue needed her attention too though. However, he didn't seem to mind and just settled in his tank, bobbing there a little from time to time and looking at her with large eyes at this point. Shaking her head, she wished it would be alright in the long run, though it was going to be difficult either way.

Hmmm, maybe she should send him out into the water, it was something at least she figured with a little sigh. Jack didn't know what to do at the moment she figured with a little frown on her face, it wasn't like she would intentionally hook him or anything, so... what to do with things right now anyway? She just wanted to catch some non Tat-lung fish, which was difficult if he was in the water as well she knew. Whatever, it would be fine in the long run, and she had a little time anyway no matter what happened. If all she knew was to get him into the water of the river, then hopefully he wouldn't swim off or anything either, that would be the worst. Heaving a sigh, she looked at Segue and kneeled down to look at him a little closer, at least he would blend in with the water a little, which was dangerous as well.

He would blend in too well, she wanted him to be more used to him than he was at the moment, next to nothing for him right now, he probably didn't care much for her at the moment either which was a shame. Whatever, she supposed, it didn't really matter in the long run, she just hoped she wasn't going to make the wrong choice when it came to the Tat-lung and all that. Shaking her head, she reached into the little bowl and patted him on the head, to which he didn't really do anything. He really was spacey wasn't he? There was almost no chance he had any sense of danger, not that she was going to be dangerous for him and all that, she was going to take care of him as best as she could, which was fine all alone she figured with a little sigh as she thought.

As she looked, Segue finally turned his eyes toward her for a moment, almost as though he was boring a hole through her very soul. She found the gaze uneasy and stood up again, looking over to the river at the end of it all she figured with a little smile. If everything was going to be alright in the end, then she didn't need to worry too much about the present... right? Sure, she had to get to the future, but although she didn't know much about what was going on at the moment, that was still alright. Jack sighed and shook her head as she fixed where the line was in the water by casting out again and glanced at Segue. He was staring at the river now, almost as though considering the pros and cons of being in there, but she debated on if he was bright enough to know that yet.

Well then, the woman didn't really care about it at the moment either way she figured. What was she going to do for Segue if he got caught in everything anyway, she wondered? Jack thought about it for awhile and shook her head, she could heal him if he took any damage, she knew, but she also knew that things could hurt him very easily at the same time, and she would really rather avoid that if entirely possible. Heaving a sigh, she shook her head a little and then considered the ramifications of putting him into the river a little, he could splash and play, she figured, but would he really, or would he just float there and go where the current took him? Frowning, the woman didn't know if it was a good idea, he could easily be eaten by one of those sharks and things that lived in the river.

As Segue watched her, nothing really floated through his head. He was bright, of course, as all Tat-lung were, but there were no running thoughts, it would seem, just blank and empty space, the colors and cold and harshness running through there. Jack glanced back over at him and felt a shiver run down her spine. There wasn't evil coming from him, just... indifference, it appeared. She didn't know how a creature could be like that, but she didn't know if she really wanted to experience it first hand and all that. Shaking her head, she tried to ignore him for a little bit, but felt his eyes boring into her back. Maybe if she talked to him a little it would help things out a bit, but she really didn't know if that would work on him. Frowning, she glanced at him again and then shook her head, he wouldn't get it.

Nothing bad would happen with her around, she could certainly hold her own against a fish of all things if need be, but she was sure he wouldn't try to attack her or anything, that would just be stupid of him at this point. Frowning a little, the woman shook her head, she had another animal with the same kind of eyes, a halfbreed, half Golossle and half Equillion. He was a strange one as well, but had a little training under his belt, she figured as she continued to watch her line in the water with a little frown on her face. Maybe it was just what happened when they were that smart, she thought, it only made sense. Whatever she needed to do, things had to happen if things were going to go forward. Ah well, it didn't necessarily matter in the long run, she would get done what needed to be done.

Jack just wished she knew how to connect with him, that was the worst of it she supposed with a little frown. It didn't necessarily matter she supposed. They would connect somehow she knew, she just didn't know how or when, and this might take awhile in the long run. It was a shame she thought with a little sigh, but she didn't think much of it, she wouldn't figure it out in her lifetime so it was best not to think too hard on it she supposed. At the same time, she wished she knew a little bit of what was going on in his head. Maybe she should give him a Ribbon so they could talk or something, she didn't really know what to think about it at the moment either. Well, that was something she could think on for awhile at least she thought for a moment at the same time.
