Jack stirred as well and glanced over at the pup who was snuggling down even more with a little smile on her face. She didn’t want her to get too comfortable, they still needed to find a few things before leaving for the day, but this was comfortable to her as well and she really didn’t want to get up. Yawning, she ended up sitting, however, and she looked around, tussling her hair and the pup’s short fur for a little bit, trying to figure out where they were and what they were doing there. Fishing, right, the river bend had opened up to people in the Labs who wanted to fish. She hadn’t caught anything yet, but Genie had found some shells and a few river critters that would work well to sell, hopefully. If not, she would just stick them into her aquarium and call it good for a little while. Smiling, she nodded and hopped back to her feet.

She would find something, the woman would at least, eventually, she just had to get there after a little while, she figured at the moment. Jack sighed a little and shook her head as the pup wiggled for a moment before hopping down out of the hammock so she could go hunting for things again. For now Jack almost hoped the little pup wouldn’t find anything, but at the same time she hoped she would find a few things so that she could sell them or trade them eventually. All along the shoreline there were more shells now and the pup was having fun trying to collect them all. Hopefully she would burn out on shells after awhile, but Jack suspected that wasn’t going to happen. Smiling at her, she picked up a few shells before baiting her hook and casting her line again, wondering what was going to happen if that was all they found.

Everything would be alright in the end of it all, she knew that, it just wasn’t going to go well for her if she couldn’t get anything well at the moment. Sighing, she cast the line again and waited for a little while, while Genie hunted for more shells. She was obsessed with them now at the moment, and she sighed a little as she thought about it. At least it gave her something to do before the training started, and she really hoped that things would work out between them when they got to the Park. Jack stretched out and watched the bobber in the water for a little while, but nothing was happening, not yet at least, which was a shame. Oh well, it didn’t really matter at the moment, but that wasn’t the point as of right now, she knew that things were going to be alright no matter what, but that wasn’t the issue.

Everything would turn out well she knew, but nothing else was going to happen at the moment. Jack was sure that things would work out with fishing, but she still had yet to catch anything, which was a shame. She frowned a little and wondered what she would do about that right now. She was watching Genie, however, and jumped when there was a light tug at the line. Wait, had she actually caught something? Frowning, she slowly reached for the pole whenever she saw it go again. Hmm, that was a good indication that she had caught something, but she couldn’t afford to over react and do a little more than she should. Jack chewed on her lip and set the hook in the fish’s mouth before reeling in as quickly as she could without risking losing it. Good, it really looked like things were going to happen at the moment, and she grinned a little as she looked at it for the fish.

After all was said and done, when she finally got the fish in and onto the shore, she split into a smile as the Houluh came over to sniff it. She shooed her away a little bit and the woman smiled at her to take some of the harshness away from the words as she plucked the purple fish from the line and put it into the bucket. Finally she had found something, and she was pleased by it no matter what happened. She grinned a little and wondered what she was going to do with things right now, but it didn’t matter at the moment, she had caught her first fish of the day, and it was starting to get a little dark out, but she had time to work with the pup no matter what, it was supposed to be dark when they worked on things anyway. Jack stretched out, pleased with her catch at the moment, and hoped this boded well for the both of them no matter what.

Genie barked a bit and jumped around as the woman put new bait on her hook and cast the line into the water again. Hopefully she would catch something else before they had to go, but she wasn’t going to cross her fingers for it. Jack smiled a little, even if she didn’t find anything else, at least they’d gotten quite a few things so far tonight, and she wondered what was going to happen while things were going on no matter what. All she knew was that she was happy, and nothing was going to spoil it tonight, especially if she could get the pup trained up and get her show in before the Hall was closed. It might work, it might not, but it still got dark a little earlier than it should for awhile at least, but the times were changing and she knew spring was around the corner. It was that time of year, and she honestly couldn’t wait for it, she thought.

Jack finally called it after a little while longer and pulled her line in before taking the bait off of the hook. She looked over at Genie who was starting to yawn a little, great big puppy yawns at that, and wondered if they should really train tonight or not. It would help her endurance though, so there was that. The woman gathered up everything she could carry and shoved things into her bag before she and the pup started to head toward the Park, hoping that things would work out and she could get it done tonight. It was iffy, of course, but that didn’t matter at the moment, all would be alright in the end. She was just pleased that things were happening the way they needed to be happening finally, and the woman smiled a little at the thought as well. Maybe it was for the best they were heading out, she thought as she looked around, some of the wilder animals needed to eat and drink.

It was a lovely day outside, even better than the day before when she was with Genie. Smiling a little to herself, she wondered what was going to happen when she go to the river, but Cocoa, the little Houluh she was with, was wandering far ahead on the long leash. He was happy to be with her again, and the woman smiled a little as she wondered where he was going to go for now. It wasn’t like he could really get too far, they were right by the river and there was a short cliff face on the other side of them, mainly so she knew he wouldn’t get too far. They weren’t headed toward her earlier areas, considering she hadn’t done so well there when she was with Genie, but hopefully Cocoa would help her out a little bit this time. She just hoped they would be able to find something in the long run.

Jack hummed to herself as Cocoa explored ahead of her, wondering where the time was going as the fishing pole rested on her shoulder while they walked along the shore of the river. She hoped they would find some good thing, though it would probably be more shells if her luck held up. Jack frowned a little and shrugged at that, at least she would have something for the Trader, she had to look at it that way. She wasn’t sure what was going to happen to everything she fished up, but that was fine and she didn’t really care either way at this point. All she knew was that she wanted to get Cocoa worked with and his show done, Morgan wanted to breed to him whenever he grew, their lovely Houluh who had bred to Kanellos was waiting for Cocoa to grow, and she didn’t want to keep her waiting much longer. Sure she had waited awhile, Cozette had, but she hated keeping her waiting even longer for things like that.

So, in response, Jack had decided to take Cocoa out of the Kennel and go fishing with him. Eventually they would head to the Park, but she honestly didn’t know what to train him at this point, which was a bad thing no matter how you looked at it. She was running out of ideas, and that was bad, but she supposed she could simply train him the basics and call it good at that, but that was boring, and she hated it when things were boring. It might have to be done, however, she figured as she watched Cocoa run ahead of her, and she sighed a little at the thought. Whatever happened, she knew that things would work out well in the end, but for now she thought that nothing was going to work out quite right. Maybe she would come up with an idea later on or something, but she really didn’t know what to expect from herself.

Nothing was going to go wrong while they were together, she knew, and that was the best part of it all. Of course she wouldn’t take him off of the leash until he was a little more loyal, he didn’t seem to care right now as he wandered around a little bit and the woman smiled a little. He was all puppy it seemed, big long strides and flopping ears and tongue, she couldn’t wait to see what he would look like when he was fully grown and had his Patronne trophy, he was all brown of course, which was really simple, but she had a feeling he had something hidden deep down that she didn’t know about. A smile crossed her face as they walked, she couldn’t wait to see what kind of pups he and Cozette would have, and the woman was pleased that Morgan wanted to breed with her Kennel again.

She honestly took it as a mark of pride, she figured as she watched Cocoa run around ahead of her, that someone wanted to breed with her Kennel multiple times after they had already done so. It made her happy to think of things right now, and she didn’t know what else to do for the moment. Morgan was nice enough to be around, but she wished that Renathan would get into breeding as well. She was probably grasping at straws with that one, but oh well, it was still a bit of a wish. The woman dropped her gear the shortest distance she could, and she smiled a little as the Houluh stopped running and looked back at her. He wasn’t sure why she had stopped, but that was fine, she knew what she was doing for now at least. It would be alright, she though as she watched him start sniffing around the pools, everything was going to be fine.

Whatever happened as they fished, at least she would have her Houluh, she knew with a little smile on her face. She didn’t know what to expect from him, but hopefully it wouldn’t be purely shells again like with Genie. Cocoa didn’t mind either way, and he started to dig a little bit as she put bait on her hook and cast the line into the water. Fishing was relaxing, it didn’t require a ton of effort and it all worked out in the end. At least toward the end of the last trip she had gotten quite a few things, which was always good. It was like the fish weren’t biting until the very end, which was irritating, but it worked she supposed. At least she had gotten something out of it, and not just a fully grown Houluh. She grinned a little as she thought of Genie and the pups she would eventually have.

Jack hoped that Cocoa would be a good luck charm of sorts, after him there were only two more first generation pups to work with, her Celestial and Heathen, both of which she had bought before the species could even breed the way they did. Chewing on her lip and pushing her hair back, she hoped that things would work out for her in the end, they usually did, but there was no real way of knowing it at this point. She shook her head, unsure of what to do at the moment, but decided it wasn’t like her to be too worried about the future. Stick around in the present, do what you could, and don’t worry about later, that was what she thought at least for now. Smiling, she pulled in her line and cast it again, watching Cocoa the whole time to see if he managed to find anything just yet.
