If they ever got in there, that was. Fiera leaned back in her chair, plopping her head against the wall behind her. "This is taking. Foreverrrrr." She grumbled to herself. How long had they even been in here? It wasn't fair to her pachee to make them wait this long. Frankly, she had half a mind to- "Fiera Ferella?" SHe heard from the reception desk, and she immediately popped up out of her chair. "It's your turn. Room 7 please, on the right." The man at the reception area said, pointing to a pair of double doors on Fiera's right, just past the desk. Fiera giddily grabbed her stuff again, swinging her backpack onto her back and getting a good grip on the cart. She nodded to the receptionist as she pushed past the doors. Then she got out her phone- how long HAD she been waiting? According to the time, about half an hour. Absolutely barbaric. She put her phone away huffily, but wasn't about to waste any more time. The hall looked... mostly clean now. Now that she knew what to look for, Fiera could see the little splashes of ink along the walls. That orbaru had really gone to town, huh. Well, at least she didn't have to walk through puddles of ink. She just had to find her room. Five, six... there it was, room seven. The number was painted on the door in a large, friendly font, such that it would be impossible for even a blind child to miss.

Fiera pushed open the door, and took in the sight that was quite familiar by now. The pachee rooms were always naturalistic in looks, but a sharp eye would note that none of it was quite as real as it looked. They had trees, but they were actually well painted poles with bark taped to them, artificially connected to the ceiling. Leaf cutouts over the lights gave the effect of a forest canopy. The floor was covered in soft, deep dirt, but beneath that it was lined with plastic for easy cleaning. The bushes set around the room for pachee to hide in were likely plastic. Even the rocks around the room Fiera suspected were just hunks of carved and broken concrete as opposed to real stone. Still, it did the job- she heard her pachee stop jostling almost immediately as she pulled the cart onto the concrete landing and shut the door behind her. The landing extended around the room, with a chair to her left that she could rest in while she waited for the pachee to do their thing. Before she let them run rampant though, Fiera had a couple things to do first. She slipped her backpack off and held it in one hand as she approached a slab of 'stone' in the middle of the room. She squatted next to it and unzipped her backpack, looking for the pachee berries. She set them all on top of the stone, rezipped the backpack, and went back to her cart.

Then, she started fiddling with the clasps on Faint Impression's cage. She heard Bizarre slapping his tail irritably, but Fiera only rolled her eyes in response. "Yeah, yeah, I hear you. I'll get to you in a minute, alright?" She said, finally opening the cage. Faint peeked out immediately, and Fiera took the opportunity to pick her up. The plant creature was lukewarm in her hands, but fuzzy and comfortable. She brought her over to the stone with the berries on it, and set the female pachee down right next to it. Faint immediately climbed onto the rock, sniffing the air loudly. Thank goodness the berries were immediately appealing to pachee- it would be hard to get them to eat it otherwise, considering their mode of feeding. Faint reared up and brought her front paws down, mashing up the berries. She stepped around in them like a kid would splash around in a rain puddle, soaking the pads of her paws in them. When she stepped off the rock, there was little left of the berries but a couple of stains, with the rest of it having been absorbed into Faint's body via her root-like feet. Fiera nodded, satisfied, and went back over to the cart. Now that Faint was ready to go, it was time to let the breeding session begin properly. She fiddled with the clasps, trying to let Bizarre Undulations out first. She was pretty sure that if she left the male simmering any longer, he would explode.

Sure enough, Bizarre practically exploded out of the cage, running directly into a nearby bush. Faint trotted over to him while Fiera worked on freeing Fairy Ring as well. The second pachee was a bit more patient and a lot less snooty, but still definitely seemed to be excited for release. When Fiera cracked open the door, Fairy Ring immediately tried to push his way out, catching his horns on the door in the process. Once Fiera extricated him from it, he zoomed off just as quickly, bouncing around the room. Well. At least she couldn't fault them for their enthusiasm? The humanish shrugged and closed the cart up again, pushing it against the door and out of the way. From there, she took a seat in the provided chair, ready to watch the show. Fiera had done her part- it was all up to them now. Faint Impression worked on Bizarre first, entering the bush with him. The male pachee was furiously grooming himself, smoothing down fur and ruffling leaves. Faint sidled up next to him and began running her claws down his back as well. It seemed to calm him some, and soon he ceased his own efforts as Faint worked. When he finally seemed near 'clean', she suddenly stopped and burst out of the bush. Bizarre looked out after her, surprised. She couldn't leave now! They were almost done! She couldn't leave the job half finished! He ran after her, but the sudden flurry of action seemed to catch Fairy Ring's attention as well.

Even though Bizarre was trying his best to catch up, he soon found himself shoved out of the way by the larger male, who was under the impression that this was some sort of racing game to impress the female. He had gotten up and started running alongside Bizarre in an attempt to play. Fiera only sipped her water watching them, mildly amused at their game. They were somewhat dumb creatures but boy, if they weren't fun for her to watch. Bizarre tried to shove Fairy right back, but Fairy's beefier frame and thick mane meant that the action accomplished approximately diddly squat. Faint outpaced them all of course, effortlessly leaping over the branches and stones placed around the room as if they weren't even there. She was well practiced in this of course, especially in comparison to Fairy's inefficient galumphing strides and Bizarre's lack of physical fitness. Soon the males were both wheezing in the middle of room, with Bizarre still half heartedly swatting at Fairy's face. In a grand act of misinterpretation, Fairy seemed to think that he was somehow trying to groom the other male, and leaned over onto him in an attempt to snuggle. Bizarre soon found himself trapped under the other pachee's girth. If he could make sound, Fiera was sure that Bizarre would be letting out some sort of distressed wailing right about now. Instead he was obligated to slap his tail against the ground angrily while wiggling in an attempt to free himself.

Fairy seemed to notice the thumping tail and got up... and immediately assumed it was another game. Fiera snorted with amusement as Fairy Ring started thumping his tail as well, with Faint Impression coming over to see what they were doing. Bizarre Undulations didn't want to be outdone of course, so he sat up as well and started beating his tail on the ground even harder. THe males went back and forth like that, trying to outdo each other in speed and force. Bizarre was acting out of either agression or competitive spirit, but Fairy was clearly completely naive about the other male's intentions, thinking that this was just something fun they were doing together. The tail thumping wasn't just a sign of aggression, however. Soon, pollen started shaking out from the stamens on their tails, even if the males were busy focusing on each other and not the female. It... wasn't the most orthodox way of a breeding occurring, but Fiera wasn't about to question it. Faint seemed to accept it too, with the slit in her forehead opening and pollen brushing across it almost immediately. Fiera knew that soon it would close up again, and then later she would have some brand new offspring pachee. It had taken some effort getting this all together, but it was looking like this breeding was in the home stretch. Fiera could only sit back, relax, and try to not breathe in the spores as she watched some new lives be made.
