Sure, he totally didn't need help hauling twenty-four small creatures to the Nature's Bounty. His father had offered to help him organize the critters and get them to the shop, but he had insisted he had it under control...He hadn't considered how difficult it would be to get the Orbaru in the crates in the first place. It took him all morning! Fortunately the pachee were much less hyper and distracted. He was glad his family had all the crates back at their house where he used to live. And the large cart was also tremendously helpful, otherwise he may have had to hire movers or rent a cart himself...which would cut into his profit.
Reaching the Nature's Bounty, he parked the cart out front and made sure it wouldn't roll away and that the crates were still secure and locked. He stepped past the picket fence garden out front and opened the door to let himself inside.
Turner grinned whenever he heard a customer, and was rightly surprised whenever he saw the cart outside. He stepped out, hands on his hips, and gave a quizzical look. "What all have you got for me today?" He could tell this person was here to sell him some stock, so he figured he'd let them know that he knew, at least!
"Hi there, Turner." Riku greeted, "I've come to hand over a bunch of Orbaru I've had running around my house for quite some time. They've...well, they've become more than we could handle. And it's even worse for my parents since I've moved out and left them to take care of them alone." He grinned at the shop owner, who he was hoping would actually want so many Orbaru. He had heard they began selling the first common Orbaru which hadn't been popping up so much for a while, so perhaps they would be open to having even more in stock. After all, he knew these creatures were very popular with families and children.
"I also have three Albino Pachee." he said with a snare of pride. They weren't the easiest to come by. "Two boys and one gal - I heard you were especially interested in that breed...?" Hopefully this would be a profitable day for both of them.
Turner listened to the customer intently for a moment, not ultra concerned about how the creatures were coming to him or why, but more what they were. However, he nodded to him. "Tough break, don't worry, I'm willing to take 'em." He said, knuckles on a hip. "Yes, I've been looking for some albinos." He said, squinting his eyes at them momentarily and then turning around to wave the customer in. It was like the scrutiny had never happened. "I cannot take the Brown orbaru at all. However, I can pay you 3,150 credits for the rest of the lot." He sounded very firm on that price.
"Holy cheesecakes!" Riku shrieked in a whisper, trying to keep his shock to a minimal volume. "Wow, I'm so glad you're not accepting browns. That's Muzzle, my parents favorite Orbaru!" He quickly went over and carefully unlocked and opened the cage it was in and let it out. He was careful not to let any others slip out beside him - which they tried to do. "He must have snuck in here out of curiosity...Awe. Poor guy doesn't want to leave his friends."
It was awkward for him as he held the brownie in his arms...He had sort of just admitted that he was intentionally separating an innocent creature from its family. That was immoral, right..? But socially acceptable....right? And then the credit amount that was said sunk into his brain.
He tried to contain his further shock and excitement. "Yes, that will do for these." he said, playing it cool. He didn't want to overdo it with "I think, this time." or anything like that or it'd blow his cover. He'd....made that mistake before and just looked like a fool.
Turner wasn't sure what to think about this individual, with uh, trying to sell other people's pets. Honestly, he shouldn't agree to buy them, but at this point he'd rather give them a good home for a bit just in case this individual's guardians needed to come in and ask for them back... However, he was in this a little too deep to really turn back.
Then the 'This time' came out and Turner tried VERY hard not to have a facial spasm about it. He quickly counted out the credits to the customer, and then nodded. "There you go, all 3150 credits. I'll get them loaded in myself." He said, and then he went to do such quickly. He didn't really want to over think this, especially not when he noticed that the breeding stock for the albinos might not be usable to him if they were what he suspected they were.
Ridelys: If you can barter someone else's champion voucher off them for a gold hen, I'm happy with that too. XD \ Otherwise, I'm open to hearing offers.
