Renathan chuckled as the tiny pachee just about ran into him. "Heheh, watch it Kopi. You're gonna spear me with those." He said to her, softly. She wasn't paying any attention to him at all of course, she was much more interested in the male. Renathan was glad that they were getting along at least, though he'd been very worried about it. Seems like there was no need to be worried about it at all! The male seemed to be a little less shy too, they were quite cute now that they were playing.
"Oh the mansion?" He hadn't been in a long time because his job took up a lot of his time, but he was really happy to hear about it. "That place really is confusing... It's like magic. Particularly unstable magic." He mused. He sure hoped the individual didn't run into too much trouble out there! He did sometimes.
Kopi was having a ton of fun already, and that was great! When she was knocked sideways she tumbled and popped up quick, looking super excitable now. She slapped her own tail against the ground in a particularly tomboyish sort of way for a female pachee, and then raised up on her hind legs to try to hop on the male (of course, she didn't weigh much so it wouldn't hurt if she made it).
As a fae, Jewel was drawn to magic. He had no way of resisting it - it was in his blood, and he would never be able to stop searching for it, even subconsciously. That's why the mansion had become so appealing. He got the feeling that he would find something in there, if he searched hard enough. Something undeniably valuable.
"You've been? Ah, I'm glad... I was worried I'd been trespassing," He confessed, sheepish. "I didn't know you could just... walk in like that."
Sprinkles would have giggled were it possible! It was so much fun to play with a pretty girl. He allowed himself to flop down beneath her as she pounced, his tail waving back and forth in excitement. He would attempt to wrestle her, if she stayed atop him.
"So, what do you do, Renathan?" No beating around the bush for this straightforward fae. "Not trying to pry, just curious!"
Renathan was a spiritual person, though perhaps not religious. The Mansion had something about it that reminded him of his own homeland, something magical about the land there that deserved respect. He couldn't help but deem it as a sort of 'spiritual experience'. Probably one of the weirder things that people in the Labs thought about the mansion itself. "Yeah, it's kind of... Uh, like a haunted house I guess? Lots of people go there." Never mind the first time he went there was because he'd been dared to. "Sometimes it lets you just walk in, and sometimes it's kinda... Fickle?" He tried to find a good word for it, at least.
The tiny pachee tried to pounce, and she was actually surprised that she made it, standing over him on all fours for a moment before realizing that she (at least she thought she did) had an advantage! She continued to play, wrestling with him a bit- but being much more gentle than she typically was when wrestling. She didn't want to hurt him.
"Ah, I'm a jewelry-maker by trade. Lately I've been doing all sorts of metalwork and leathercrafting as well. I run a cafe where people can order the high-end wares I sell. How about you?" He asked, grinning.
Sprinkles was bashful. The gentle toying with him was nice; he hadn't felt this way before. He thought he really liked this girl! Kopi was friendly, and soft, and she played in a way that he enjoyed. Maybe... she liked him a lot too?
"Jewelry?" That was something Jewel could appreciate, if it wasn't obvious by his name. "That's really cool. I like a pretty accessory myself."
As for himself... once again, a sheepish look, and he scratched the back of his head. It felt terribly inferior to reveal that he was a dancer when he could get work and whatever someone paid him to be when he couldn't.
"I perform. It, uh... hasn't been so profitable lately, though. Figures."
Thankfully, there was movement from Sprinkles to distract him. The pachee had wiggled out from beneath Kopi, and had sat up, his tail quivering. Was he going to...? Yes, he was! He thumped his thick tail on the ground and sent plumes of pollen into the air.
Renathan watched the two Pachee as they played, and then saw that the ever impatient Kopi was about ready to 'do what she was supposed to' so to speak. After a moment of looking the male in the eyes, she backed away and stood up on her hind legs, signaling him with a slap of the tail (as if showing what she'd like him to do) and then opened the little slit on her forehead. Did he want to? She wouldn't mind, she liked him!
"Yes, indeed! Best prices in the city for the work- well, Jack does well too." He admits. She had a little more skill with certain types of jewelry than he did, and matched him in most others. "Ah, I could never perform! That must be a lot of work- and public too." He said, nodding. "I'm sure it will become more profitable in the future. Ever thought of going into public speaking or other forms of artwork?" He wanted to be helpful, but sometimes he overstepped his bounds a tad.
Renathan could tell that the pachee were nearly done- he never really liked to watch much. She would undoubtedly try to catch all of that. He was glad he had a mask on to filter it out.
Jewel grinned. A sales pitch if there ever was one! He'd love some reasonably priced jewelry to go with his more extravagant outfits. Now he knew where to go for it!
"I have... a unique act," He said, his brain trying to come up with the most delicate way to phrase things. "I'm a contortionist. So... as fae too, I'm mostly seen as a curiosity. If you know of any freak shows coming around, definitely let me know. I'll run away with them."
Sprinkles was overjoyed that Kopi was reciprocal to his advances. He really liked her! Hopefully they would get to spend plenty more time together now they were extra fond of one another. Jewel was loath to think of making them part - he wasn't exactly a romantic, but did have a soft heart in there somewhere, and didn't want to upset his pets.
"That was fast," He quipped. "Gotta work on your stamina, buddy."
Two little pachee babies, one female, and one male!
(BTW: You take first pick, I like 'em both equally. <3)
Morgan: No one knows yet. But I did want to make it clear that the jar itself isn't used for lotine husbandry in any way. c:

Twilight-Claw: I'm only assuming that it does something similar like a Fungal Beast that infects a Leaf-scatter. (the one with moss and I think it was a pink flower growing on the head.)
Jun 5, 2020 4:18:34 GMT -6
Silver: I'll try it soon and we'll find out!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:11 GMT -6
Silver: I don't think anyone knows yet!
Jun 5, 2020 4:16:05 GMT -6
Darky: What did the 'infection' do again?
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:43 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for this information, its really useful to know! <3
Jun 5, 2020 4:14:30 GMT -6
Morgan: The lolatic doesn't disappear after one use, and can be reused on the same lotine when it is allowed to 'infect' a lotine- to my knowledge.
Jun 5, 2020 1:41:37 GMT -6
Morgan: The only effect/thing that the jar can be used for is to open up into a lolatic. The jar itself has no use in lotine breedings.
Jun 5, 2020 1:39:52 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: and the jar is then gone, if with the creature I am more guessing with this the creature doesn't disappear and it has unlimited use.
Jun 5, 2020 0:17:55 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Something else I am wondering about with the Lotine breeding is whether one would use the jar the Lolatic comes from in the breeding, or actually the creature itself. I'm assuming with it if its the jar, then it gives people only one shot in a breeding,
Jun 5, 2020 0:16:08 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Then using it in my rps is definitely just for the sake of rp's and not for anything additional.
Jun 5, 2020 0:12:17 GMT -6
Renathan: Fish are unlimited use once bought though. c:
Jun 4, 2020 22:31:17 GMT -6
Renathan: There's no additional effect for adding a fish to a magical berry in a lotine breeding. Magical Berry is kinda it's own thing. Adding a fish for roleplay value shouldn't hurt, but it has no effect when used on a magical berry lotine breeding.
Jun 4, 2020 22:27:14 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: be just for the sake of rp, and perhaps seeing if it might lent a bigger chance to multiple offspring with unique pattern. X3
Jun 4, 2020 15:31:01 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I think your right on it being unlimited use yeah, although.. *cough* I only found out a couple hours after I started writing that I had yet to buy the fish in question so used the one you could get for free as a replacement, it still was meant to mostly
Jun 4, 2020 15:30:59 GMT -6
Riku: From what I loosely understand about the fish is that it isn't one-use, whereas the berry is. I feel like there wouldn't be any consequence of 'using' the fish...which I'd think just ooc wouldn't be counted for whatever rolls or whatever it is that it uses
Jun 3, 2020 14:14:30 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Thanks for that piece of info Ren! <3 | But would it be allowed for the flavor of the rp if the berry wasn't filling enough for the Lotine?
Jun 1, 2020 6:09:21 GMT -6
Renathan: There is no need to double up on a fish and a magical berry (doesn't change the effect of the berry at all) in a lotine breeding.
Jun 1, 2020 6:02:21 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: Does anyone know if it is possible to combine both a magical berry and a fish in a Lotine breeding? Or is you can only choose one of them? (right now writing a Lotine breeding)
Jun 1, 2020 5:36:49 GMT -6
Twilight-Claw: I am still interested in trading it for a green drake.
